Another good example of how if you ask a group of people the definition of a vernacular term you're going to get a wide variety of opinions. Not one of the best clips produced by Rice Roll Production, IMHO, but still enlightening, to a point. I didn't find it difficult to sit through, but I caught myself saying "wrong!" to the screen a few times. There's no link within my genealogy to Noah Webster, but many of the men interviewed didn't seem to agree what most know as the common - and more or less universal - usage of the term as I've heard it for decades (a non-Asian who is most often or exclusively attracted to Asians), so it might have been better to have titled it "What is your personal definition of Rice Queen?" Some seemed spot on, some sounded way off the mark. Perhaps others here would add what their definition would be. I'd vote for the one I mentioned above. It was interesting to see how widespread their interpretations were, but it would have been nice to know if they themselves considered themselves RQs, or they were just interpreting a term they'd heard. The implication was that they were Rice Queen. "Any man interested in Asian men... or women"? Hmmm. Straight males I know who have a penchant for Asian women probably wouldn't welcome the label "queen". The diversity of points that formed their definitions were interesting, too... and, again, all over the map. I'm a little surprised nobody mentioned some of the other labels, i.e. Potato Queen, Bean Queen, Curry Queen, Sticky Rice and the likes. As for me personally, this is the type I'd put in my letter to Santa:
