The US Embassy is presenting some American owned restaurants in Bangkok that have come together to bring you the best deals in dining this March. Pick your favorites from over 10 participating restaurants.

 

Cancel those French restaurant reservations! Promotion starts today till the 24th.

It strikes me strange that Pizzas and Bagels are now considered American Food.

New York style pizzas! Chicago-style pizzas! If it's popular enough, any ethnic food can become American food. Demand determines how culinary cultures evolve.

And I'd have thought that Embassies would have better things to do with their time than presenting American Food weeks. They can support and encourage-  but actually to organise and present??? That's surely what the Chamber of Commerce and people like that should be doing!

I think it may have been that famous gourmet, Homer Simpson who said:

 

"Chinese food?

No thanks!

Why can't we have American Food

- let's have French Fries"
