For the past year or so, friends of TAKE CARE!! in the US state of Florida have been working hard on our behalf. We are happy to report that their efforts have paid off. They have established a not-for-profit corporation called “Taking Care” under the laws of the state of Florida, which has fundraising for TAKE CARE!! as its sole purpose. They then applied to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to grant “Taking Care” status as a charitable, tax-exempt non-governmental organization (NGO) under US law. This is commonly referred to a 501©(3) organization. We have recently been informed by the IRS that they have granted that status to “Taking Care”, which means that US tax-payers can now make contributions to TAKE CARE!! through “Taking Care” and those contributions are tax-deductible. Such contributions can be made through the PayPal button on the TAKE CARE!! website <takecarepattaya.com> or mailed to the following address: Taking Care, Inc., PO Box 24651, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33307 2. We were recently locked out of our former HOTMAIL email account. TAKE CARE!! has a new email address takecarepattaya@yahoo.com 3. Plans are being made for our annual Christmas Fundraising Dinner to be held on 22 December 2012 at Bistro Oscar alongside the Poseidon Hotel in Jomtien Complex.
