Guest travelerjim Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Looking over the Business Class airfares for Bangkok to USA, I find that China Airlines offers the lowest fare f...FROM BKK. BKK-YVR Vancouver, Canada is now 84,290 THB (US$2,643.) Roundtrip (includes all fees/taxes) BKK-LAX or SFO is now 89,890 THB (US$2,820) Roundtrip (includes all fees/taxes) Their fares are good for 12 months from departure date. NO charge to change date of return Earns ff miles in Skyteam partner airlines (Delta, Korean Air, and more) Departure late afternoon fm BKK...5:05pm Return arrival back into BKK is approx 10:00am in the morning. Flights connect in Taipei, Taiwan I found that making connecting flights thru YVR (Vancouver) may be less cost than flying thru LAX or SFO for connections. Their economy coach prices are the most affordable too to their arrival cities in USA...keeping in mind that their tickets are valid for up to 12 months vs 1 month or 3 months or 6 months on Delta; and Delta charges 5000 THB to change return date + fare difference. These fares are FROM BANGKOK...NOT available FROM USA. Hope this helps some be able to fly Business Class, especially now as Coach fares are US $1,600 + tj Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I have flown Cathay Pacific to New York via Vancouver. I remember that a Canadian transit visa is required for those whose passport does not automatically give them a right to land. The great thing, though, is you go through US Immigration prior to departure from Canada. I have done the same in Toronto and Montreal, and it can save a ton of time. But why not stop over in Vancouver for a few days? In my book, it's one of the great cities for a short break and has a thriving gay scene. Quote
