Popular Post jamiebee Posted Friday at 05:47 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 05:47 AM I will be flying tonight and reaching BKK by tomorrow afternoon for the 3rd time visiting Thailand and as a solo traveller. Like my 2 previous short visits, I will just be doing some touristy stuff and whoring activities all throughout the week. I don't have a fixed planned itinerary but just a small note of things to try and do that I missed last few times. I like to do things on my own pace. After reading so many helpful and interesting trip reports from everyone here, it will be my turn to do so. I'll try to update after a few days after reaching Bangkok, please know that I'm not a seasoned writer so kindly understand if report is messy once it's up. So excited to be back 😁 Raposa, Draden, vinapu and 3 others 6 Quote

Many forum members here will be glad to share their experiences and suggestions. Basically I just plan to stay mostly in Bangkok and nearby places. On my last two trips I have been on a Temple Tour to Wat Pho, Wat Arun, the Grand palace and emerald Buddha, took the river cruise in Chao Phraya, did the floating market and the railway market tour, went up to mahanakhon skywalk, went to Yaowarat/Chinatown for Foodtrip, all touristy things. Since I'm from the Philippines, I'm already tired of going to islands or beaches. On my first day, Saturday, after checking in my hotel i'll just take a few hours rest then go to Arena for a "massage". By 18:00-19:00 I'll be heading to Rajadamnern Stadium to watch a Muay Thai match, then 22:00 or so will visit the bars in Soi 4 if Jetlag did not take its toll on me hahaha. For other following days, I may take a guided Full day tour to Pattaya City, another Full day guided your to Ayuttaya and temple ruins. May also visit the Ancient city and Erawan Museum. Another day on a Safari maybe. Visit Moo Deng. Visit Jodd Fairs. Visit Chatuchak Weekend Market for souvenirs. Another Day tour to Kanchanaburi. Will head towards Pratunam and Platinum Mall to so some shopping. Visiting some Cafes. All these things I plan to do will spread out all throughout my 10 days in Thailand with maybe a day of just rest massage and bar visits in between. 😁 reader, vinapu, BL8gPt and 1 other 4 Quote

jason1975 Posted Friday at 11:50 AM Posted Friday at 11:50 AM @jamiebee looks like a packed daytime schedule! Fortunately the gogoboy bars don't start so early and most come alive only after 10pm. You should have a nap after your day activities so that you have energy for night activities! Which hotel are you staying? jamiebee 1 Quote

Which hotel are you staying? I did deliberated over it for quite some time before I decided to which hotel to stay. All I wanted is a room to sleep on, not too small to cause claustrophobia, I did not need the swimming pool or gym, needs a have a safe box, needs to be near the BTS and MRT for easy traveling to most parts of Bangkok and connects Suvarnabhumi Airport as I like using the trains as I've seen how terrible the road traffic is. The hotel has to be in Silom as it's near gogo bars and most actions are. Has to be budget-friendly. And has to be joiner/visitor-friendly. Initially, I thought I would just stay again in The Quarter Silom but I remembered that they have issues with the AC in their room which I experience first hand on both of my previous two trips that I stayed with them in 2 different towers of the Hotel. So in the end, I booked The Raya Hotel in Suriyawong again as my base for this trip. The only thing I need to mind is my laundry. Hahahah TMax and bkkmfj2648 2 Quote
jason1975 Posted Friday at 12:52 PM Posted Friday at 12:52 PM The Raya is an excellent choice! If you are into karaoke, you can go to Happy Beer Garden directly opposite Raya and ask for private karaoke room. It can be fun singing with the guys from the bars! jamiebee 1 Quote

This is my go to hotel in BKK because of: - if your room is not on floor 5 (where reception is) then it is very easy to get your visitors in and out, as there are no controls on the other floors, - breakfast is pretty good. Often I am the only farang at breakfast, as the Japanese love this hotel, - location - everything is within walking distance, - many of the rooms come with sexy exposed showers so you can watch your guys for your very own sexy show. Thanks they do seem to be a full service laundry shop which I was looking for rather than a coin operated ones I've seen in the past. Quote

Popular Post jamiebee Posted 14 hours ago Author Popular Post Posted 14 hours ago (edited) From Dubai to Bangkok My first day Started my journey to the land of smiles via Qatar Airways from Dubai DXB leaving 23:00hrs for an hour of journey to Doha DOH, where my connecting flight is after 3 hours. Around 0300hrs Doha Qatar time, my journey continues towards Bangkok BKK landed 13:00hrs. Total flight journey spent was 9 hours on air and 3 hours layover. My flight landed in Suvarnabhumi's satellite terminal, ridden a transfer train to the main terminal then made a quick pass to immigrations at the arrivals hall. The queue and immigration clearance itself only took less than 5 mins, there's not much people and plenty of open immigration counters. While at the airport, I went directly down to the lowest level and change USD300 getting THB9990 in exchange (USD 1 = THB 33.30) for travelling expense and little pocket money. Then I had also bought a Tourist Sim via AIS for 15 days with 30GB data at 5G max speed that cost about THB999. I didn't get a single sleep throughout but still decided to take the mass transportation to my hotel, around 14:00hrs I was already riding the Airport Link Train towards Phaya Thai station. From Phaya Thai I have changed trains to the BTS sky train topping up my old Rabbit card and alighted the train towards Siam, then again changed train to Silom route towards Saladeng Station. I arrived at The Raya Hotel by 15:15 to check in got my old room back at the 7th floor. Ohh did you know there is a Taco Bell now and beauty shop at the ground floor of the building beside the entrance? The construction site on the right side of Raya is still there but no works are being done so I did not hear any noise coming from there. The rooms in the Raya did not change, I did not see any damages from the recent earthquake aside from the 2 cracks in the door frame of my room seen from the inside. I have rested and freshen up a bit before I head towards Arena in Silom Plaza via motorcycle ride booked via the Bolt app which cost me THB 29. I forgot that they do not provide a helmet and how fast these guys go. I reached the Silom Plaza in just 2 minutes. Walking from the entrance of Silom Plaza towards the lift, you can see someone from the floors someone from Arena gesturing and inviting you to come. When I reached the floor the same guy escorted me inside and have me sit with the manager to choose what massage and how long and which boy I wanted while around 10 to 14 boys (ranging from muscle daddies to hunks) start taking off their shirts to catch my attention for me to choose them. The costs are the same as I remember. I have chosen the oil massage of 1.5hrs for THB 790 with the minimum tip of THB 1500 and picked the boy Tau as my masseur. I was not asked about the type of room but I was led to a small room with a single massage table with an shower cubicle that could fit two, this room looks better and cleaner than what I remember with clean white walls and AC though points directly at the massage table was not too cold and temperature overall was good. My masseur Tau was not the big muscly guy I would normally pick from here but was on the hunkier side. He did a good job with the massage, I was not expecting he'll do deep tissue massage which me who only goes for a massage always goes for a swedish one. Pressure and coverage wise he was spot on from the foot towards my upper body to the neck. Extras was also good. From body to body to him giving me a good head while he played my bum 😁. He tried to top me but I declined as I'm not in the bottoming mood so he continued to use his mouth and tongue to play between my 🍆 and my sensitive tiddies while using his fingers to play with my bum hole, thank god he doesn't have long nails. Anyway in the end both of us came and we concluded with showering and continued playing with each other in the shower, Tau was very very attentive from the showers to drying me off, I was quite satisfied and gave him THB2000 as a tip. I left Arena around 18:15 back to my hotel via another motorcycle ride to change clothes and by 18:20 ridden another motorcycle ride heading towards Rajadamnern Stadium for the Muay Thai show which will start at 19:00hrs which I booked through an app called Klook yesterday. Riding this motorcycle taxis here in Bangkok sure is heart pounding, in the Philippines there is this thing we called ''Buwis'Buhay" where in context means Thrilling to the point of being to risking your life, kind of ride. From The Raya up to the Rajadamnern Stadium it only took less than 15 mins with all the high speed zooming between cars, where it normally goes to 25-40 mins with a regular taxi. I booked it on a Saturday as the best matches are held during weekends especially on Saturdays. I booked a Club-Tier seat just above the lowest tier. They gave me a good upper level seat not too far from the ring and gets to soak up with all the tension and excitement of everyone there. Most of the people in the audience were westerners and at that time maybe only 1/3 I see were asian. The show normally takes up to 2-3 hours but today was different and they told us there was an match/event today and will be until midnight. Ohhh did I mentioned that they have free flowing beer sponsored by Leo all throughout the night? I finished I think about 5 cups (about 500ml each) and got a bit tipsy, so around 21:30 I decided leave and to hail another motorcycle ride back to my hotel. My tipsyness somehow lessen a bit during that ride home as I was clinging to the handle for my dear life not fall hahaha 😭 🤣 😭 My plan was to rest for a bit and freshen up so I can head over to gogo bars to ogle some big boys at the Atlas or visit some of the gogo bars I have not been into yet (freshboys/dreamboys/moonlight and maybe Jupiter). Maybe due to the fact that I didn't get an ounce of sleep until then plus Jetlag plus the beers if drunk, I didn't realize it I have slept on my bed as soon as sat down and woke up 01:30 😭😭😭 the only thing I could do then was just go to 7-11 to buy my missing toiletries and a new snacks to much on before going back to sleep. So that's how my first day went hahaha 🤣 🤣 Today I woke up around 0900 and took my breakfast and been lazing around. I don't have any plans for the day so I just rest up and adjust my body clock to match Bangkok and in the evening I'll visit the gogo bars and try my luck. I don't know much of Pattaya other than the things I read here in the threads and since I'm just a solo traveller and haven't been to Pattaya even once. I think I would go for a guided tour for sightseeing first and once I'm confident I'll tried to go on my own and stay for a few days next time. Anyway I have already booked a joined sightseeing day tour on Tuesday there. reader 1 Quote

Draden Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Great report. I'll be in Thailand late May --- I've only been once before. Can someone remind me what the tipping etiquette is at massage places? Like if the massage is 500 THB, and the listed minimum tip is 1000 THB, how much should I actually tip roughly? Quote
