KJ1993 Posted Monday at 05:20 AM Posted Monday at 05:20 AM As the title suggests I'm thinking of spending a month in Brazil later this year, most probably September. Possibly even 5 weeks, I'm working from home full time now and the boss has pretty much given me the green light. Most of the time spent will be annual leave, with maybe up to 2 weeks of me working during the day. I'd like to explore more of the country, new states perhaps, catch up with friends etc but obviously saunas, GPs and safe sexual fun will be a priority. It'll be my 4th ever trip to Brazil but the longest I've ever spent there in one go is 2 weeks. I'm just wondering if 4 weeks would be overkill? I'm sure lots of you here have spent extended periods in Brazil. I'd be keen to hear your thoughts. 😊 Quote
bobgerm Posted Monday at 10:59 AM Posted Monday at 10:59 AM Hi, it depends. A trip to the Amazonas, Pantanal or on the Estrada Real to Diamantina takes time. You could be busy with sightseeing, nature, beach and sauna. KJ1993 1 Quote
12is12 Posted Monday at 10:09 PM Posted Monday at 10:09 PM KJ, I humbly submit it's difficult to offer you thoughts, without knowing how long were your 4 previous trips and where/how did you spend them..... KJ1993 1 Quote

I've always tended to say anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks. Never any more than that. Stayed mostly in SP, Rio and a few days in Salvador which I'm keen to return to. Sexually I found Salvador refreshing after doing so much in Rio & SP. I enjoy the touristy stuff, went to Rock in Rio last year etc. Saunas and getting laid were a very significant part of it too and probably my biggest overhead lol Quote

12is12 Posted Tuesday at 08:49 AM Posted Tuesday at 08:49 AM In that case, I second Bobgerm's recommendation. If u r into modern architecture - visit Brasilia. There r also Belo Horizonte and east coast cities - all with saunas. KJ1993 1 Quote
Members Xclay Posted yesterday at 02:29 AM Members Posted yesterday at 02:29 AM Good for you. I started off with ten-day visits, soon increased to three weeks, and now up to seven or eight weeks twice year. My suggestions: You said "possibly" even five weeks, but probably better to test yourself with four weeks first. Good idea to visit varied destinations, but not so many that you have too many flights — perhaps 8 days in SP, 8 days in Rio, a week in Salvador, and 5 days in Fortaleza. I'd make it easy going, not complicated. For convenience of course use CGH in SP and SDU in Rio as much as possible. ✈️ Not everybody cares, but I like to optimize the weather. Belo Horizonte can unleash heavy rain 24/7 in December. I like to use this site below, which has lots of comparative charts for whatever cities you are considering. September can be a pretty good sweet spot. https://weatherspark.com/compare/y/30563~31123~30268/Comparison-of-the-Average-Weather-in-Rio-de-Janeiro-Fortaleza-and-São-Paulo Let us know what you decide and how it goes! Boa viagem. KJ1993 1 Quote

Boa viagem. Thanks for the detailed response Xclay! I've heard Fortaleza is home to some hidden GP talent. Weather is a big thing for me hence why I want to go in September instead of June/July etc even if means delaying pleasure for a month or two. Plus the heat and humidity seem to increase everyone's libido! I will test the waters with 4 weeks first I think. I'll have to pace myself as last time I was sexually exhausted and ready to head home after 2 weeks even though I loved it. Quote
