reader Posted Monday at 04:18 AM Posted Monday at 04:18 AM From Pattaya News The new feeder bus service connecting Don Mueang Airport to Pattaya is now operational, offering a fast travel option for passengers. On March 8th, Deputy Transport Minister Mr. Surapong Piyachote presided over the inaugural journey of the new feeder bus service connecting Don Mueang Airport to Pattaya. Mr. Surapong stated that the launch of the new feeder bus service is part of the Thai government’s initiative to create seamless public transportation between airports and key tourist destinations. The project aims to boost tourism and economic activity by improving connectivity between major, secondary, and emerging travel destinations. Initially, three routes have been introduced: Pickup/drop-off points: Service Hall, Don Mueang Airport (near Terminal 1, North Side) BorKorSor Bus Stop, Sukhumvit Road (between North and Central Pattaya) Distance: 162 km Fare: 155 THB Travel time: 2.5 hours 8 trips daily (4 each way) Departing Don Mueang: 06:30, 10:30, 13:30, 17:30 Departing Pattaya: 07:00, 10:00, 14:30, 17:00 https://thepattayanews.com/2025/03/10/feeder-bus-service-from-don-mueang-to-pattaya-now-open/ a-447 and bkkmfj2648 1 1 Quote

I thought the same thing when I read that. Then from Sukhumvit Road you would need to hire a Grab or Bolt to get to your final destination - tacking on another 100 to 150 baht for the privilege. Consequently, the predecessor Suvarnabhumi to Jomtien bus, that terminates almost at the Jomtien Complex (aka Supertown) still remains, in my opinion, the better choice - at 143 baht to get to Pattaya. https://airportpattayabus.com/ 7 minute walk to the Jomtien Complex from the end-point bus station in Jomtien vinapu and reader 2 Quote

Yes , for me too Airport bus to and from Jomtien is bus of choice when getting between Bangkok and Pattaya bkkmfj2648 and reader 2 Quote

Yes, I agree. I have only used the Don Mueang (DMK) airport from Pattaya 1 time (for my trip to Cebu) and it was more painful than going to Suvarnabhumi - as the traffic and smaller roads that you need to use to get to DMK are much more congested than the nice big tollway to Suvarnabhumi. So, a bus to Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya is still acceptable - as long as the bus rider realizes that he/she will need to transfer to another type of ride modality to reach his/her final destination in Pattaya. Which is also true for the other bus if one is not staying near the Jomtien Complex. Quote
spoon Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Worth to mention that there is (or used to?) a free shuttle bus connecting dmk and bkk airport, if you have a boarding pass to make the connection. Ive used it before when im travelling to dmk from pattaya using the jomtien bus to bkk and taking the shuttle from bkk to dmk to catch my flight to vientiene. bkkmfj2648 and vinapu 2 Quote

They seem to observe this rule as my friend learned last month when helping somebody to make transfer from BKK to DMK. They took ARL+BTS+MRT+SRT combination instead Quote
