That way Zelensky can't be accused of being ungrateful for not letting his country be extorted by the US to save his people from a genocidal monster, aka Sexy Sweet Vlad. Ukraine and the EU had been working up or at least talking about some deal. So I hope Zelensky and the EU run with that. Ukraine obviously needs weapons from the US. When push comes to shove, if Zelensky does not sign a deal, will all the Republicans other than Murkowski say, "Duh! Let Ukrainians die. Let Putin win. We really don't give a flying fuck!" I have my doubts about that. If the Wall Street Journal is right, even Republicans have to be asking themselves why the fuck is Trump such a narcissistic and traitorous dumb fuck? When Republicans overwhelmingly see Putin as an aggressor and an enemy, doing nothing while the insolent pig Trump pisses all over dead Ukrainians and whines about what he and Sexy Beast Vlad had to go through together will not go down all that well. Yes, Zelensky needs the weapons. Even more important, he needs security guarantees - which he did not get. I think a lot of Republicans, like Graham, wanted that deal badly. It was their way out for how they continue to support Ukraine, but give something Trump and his supporters something transactional to call a win. Without that, I have no doubt that Trump is exactly the kind of narcissistic reckless traitorous dumb ass who will cut off the balls he doesn't have to spit his face. He does it all the time. But I'm not sure he can get away with it on Ukraine. Trump could not convince his base they really didn't want or need Obamacare. He lost them on that. He won't convince his base they don't really want or need Medicaid. Trump knows that already, and talks about it. Will Republicans let get Trump get away without completely abandoning Ukraine? I'm not so sure. Trump said Zelenskyy has no cards, and he has all the cards. I don't think that is true.
