How BAD will it get for us ? Does Trump have this POWER over the Courts ? Hmm. Let me guess what it means. I can think of four possible meanings. 1. I'm a felon and I don't want to be. 2. I'm a felon and I don't want to be. 3. I'm a felon and I don't want to be. 4. All of the above. I'll let you pick which guess makes the most sense to you. But in terms of what it signals, that's pretty clear. More bad shit to come. I mean, he insists Jan. 6th was a Day of Love. But most people think it means one of these things: 1. I was fired, but I don't want to listen to voters or follow the law. 2. I was fired, but I don't want to listen to voters or follow the law. 3. I was fired, but I don't want to listen to voters or follow the law. 4. All of the above. If you want to be even more scared, read this: Quote Trump, Vance and Musk "should be ecstatic" about the 11 swing voters' feedback "and Democrats should be scared to death." Sorry, Axios. I am not scared to death. The article that comes from is a short and simple read. All 11 swing voters voted for Biden in 2016 and Trump in 2024. All 11 swing voters support what Trump has done so far. That's not a surprise. Both poll aggregates says Trump has 49 % approval. The people who voted for him are still on board. Nothing surprising about that about a month after the King took power. In the article these 11 swing voters basically reject the idea that he is acting like a King, or he will defy the courts. They just see him as making the "big changes" he promised. They also reject the idea that any of this will have any negative impact on them. They will wait patiently for the lower prices Trump promised, for now. Everything else is "fear mongering". All I can say is, best of luck waiting for those lower prices! It's a democracy, so far. The polls are also clear that disapproval of Trump is big, fierce, and hardening. Gallup said he started with 48 % disapproval in 2025, compared to 47 % in 2017. 538 says disapproval grew from 41.5 % his first day to 45.7 % now. I think what is true is that, so far, nothing he has done has had an impact on most people. It is early days. That said, the cruelty of it is surprising, even shocking, when I compare it to 2017. The word hanging over all of it that no one can say is this: RETRIBUTION Steve Bannon said it. Trump denied it, just like he denied this was all in the Project 2025 playbook. At some point someone savvy like Susie Wiles told Trump that you can't repeat the advice Steve Bannon gives you privately. But Trump is a small, cruel, petty, and weak man whose vision for America does not extend beyond his own pathological narcissism. So none of this is a surprise. Other than that he is even crueler than I thought. Quote
Members Suckrates Posted February 16 Author Members Posted February 16 Lets be clear and rational here...At the point Trump starts to ignore or disobey COURT rulings, he should be IMPRISONED. If this is the era of bucking norms and bending the Constitution, LETS BEND IT..... Disobey the Courts, GO TO JAIL ! At some point we must bring the hammer down on Trump, because the only times he backs down is when he is Challenged.... If a law needs changing, CHANGE IT But at some point we must put an end to the massacre. Trumps loves changing the names of things. I dont want to live in TRUMPMERICA.. The man is a hasbeen Reality star who WE allowed to rise to this unchecked power. Time to start CHECKING him again, and all it would take is EVERYONE, Dems, GOP and Voters together to push back, defy him and make him a failure. We would have the numbers, and without enablers, Trump WILL FAIL. Quote
Stable Genius Posted February 17 Posted February 17 If the SCOTUS lays down, and it's at least even odds that they will, we're cooked. Trump asks Supreme Court to allow him to fire independent agency leader The administration is seeking legal support from the conservative high court to back its efforts to expand the power of the presidency. stevenkesslar 1 Quote
