Hotel other than palacio?

When I visit, I prefer to stay in the colonial zone. I stayed twice at the palacio, and I don't want to return. Could anyone recommend other visitors friendly hotel?

And / or a good abb?

Shower problem of hot water; breakfast is limited and boring; they dont respond to emails;

And it's time for a change.

makes sense, Breakfast was always a poor selection. I used to use it but switched to Airbnb a few years ago. Travel well

This airbnb is where I've stayed three times, and will again on my next visit. It's on a quiet block, very close to Marlowe's, the Apollo bathhouse, and when the renovation currently underway is finished a short walk to Parque Duarte. The host Orlando speaks English, responds quickly, and has a mono-lingual manager on-site. It was convenient also for Manny to deliver two BBC rent boys to me. Check it out!
