I'm never afraid to share my opinion. I'm a DEI guy. I like diversity. DEI, before it was called DEI, has served LGBTQ+ America very well, for decades. With corporate America, in particular. Because Gays and lesbians pushed for it, and earned it, that we were going to make an affirmative effort to hire and support queer people in the workplace. The critical thing I can say is that, like all justice movements, it can go too far and become jargon. By the time we get to where Kamala Harris is explaining why she supports using government money to pay for prisoners to have operations, we've gone too far. The right wing Trumpers saw an opportunity to attack LGBTQ+ people, and took it. Thank you Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski for voting against Gay hater and bigot Pete Rapist Alcoholic Hegseth. They did make him back down on his Gay hating "Marxist agenda" bullshit. What a hateful asshole. What an alcoholic. What an awful loser. Ugh! Why do you respect this Gay-hating piece of shit, @bucknaway? What is it, specifically, about his contempt for Gays and women that you admire? So the attack on Gay Pride, Asian American Pride, Black history, and all that "identity shit" is well underway. Cruel arrogant assholes like Hegseth and Musk have not had long. But they are proving how many people you can hurt quickly. And of course they will take the most marginal people, like transgender or disabled people, and throw them immediately under the bus. Long live White men who drink too much, abuse their wives, ruin their families, and whose Moms have to walk back calling them a disgrace on national TV. That's diversity! I'll go data geek on approval ratings here, simply to make the point that Americans did not vote for, and don't support, this anti-diversity Gay hating crap. For context, Trump in YouGov has 50/48 approval, very close to the actual vote results. Musk is 44/48 net disapproval, so pretty well known and not exactly beloved. Gabbard is 29/29. Rubio is 37/37. RFK Jr. is actually one of the more popular, at 47/40, because a lot of Independents like him. Hegseth is 27/35. So one third of America doesn't pay attention. And only 1 in 4 Americans view this asshole favorably. And the people who are paying attention do not like this guy. Even by the low standards of this administration, this guy is a loser and a drunk and will gradually become an obvious liabiity, like Musk is becoming. I can't wait for Trump to fire his Gay-hating womanizing drunk ass. Quote
