Bangkok 5th report: moonlight and banana

On monday night I went to Moonlight. There were only about 7 patrons. I sat at the center of the highest row. On my left was a big asian (korean?) middle aged man, who invited boys for a drink with him, changing them every 10 minutes, without talking with them.

On my right was an elderly local lady, probably known by the staff. She was surrounded by 3 waiters, and almost monopolized #10: lean masculine body, handsome face, circular tatoos on his chest beneath the shoulders. He was by far the hottest and most indifferent boy there: didn't invest any energy or gestures in drawing attention to himself; didn't move or smile on the stage; skipped one of the three rounds of off-boys parading. I couldn't take my eyes off him.

The show itself was the weakest I've seen in 6 bars. There was no energy, nothing sexual nothing creative, 3 of the guys moved on stage like understudies. Music as usual too loud.

I didn't off #10 because his apathy on stage would probably continue in bed. After the show I decided to test my theory. Before I left I went to the stage side curtain and asked the guy there to call him. When #10 came, I gave him a folded 100 b bill with my number written on a note inside the bill. Spoiler: he never contacted me.

I asked one of the papasans to come out with me, so I could talk without the deafening music. I told him in three polite ways that they are losing money because of the volume; I would have loved to invite for drinks 3 boys, but I didn't due to inability to hear and converse. His repeated smiley response: "he he he music too loud he he he".....   )-:

 

Feeling a bit disappointed, I decided to continue  the night in Banana. WOW, what a difference!

The place was packed; they had to 'improvise' a seat for me. The first thing I saw as I entered, contrary to moonlight's chastity, were 6 guys standing on stage with cock-ringed condomed erections. They stayed there for a long time. Doesn't that hurt and/or cause damage?

The show was good and energetic, one of the dancers really professional with quick precise moves. The participants came down to the stage from the second floor, but departed walking to the back of the club through the audience - allowing them to collect tips on the way.

I didn't find anyone offable, but the show lifted my spirits. As it ended, the good dancer positioned himself near the exit, so I voiced my approval to him accompanied by a 300 tip.

Note to self: banana rocks!

When management casually dismisses feedback from customers, those customers are left to draw their own conclusions about where future baht will be spent.

You mention 'papasan'.  I have never  (25+years) heard the term.  They are all 'mamasans' regardless of sex or gender.

Unfortunately, recent comments and observations show that their business is not going as well as it used to.

#10 is one of the cutest and most polite guy, despite of  he looks serious on the stage. l know him very well. However his disadvantage is that he doesn't know english.

A - why does he behave in an offputting manner?

B - he got a tip with an invitation to call; obviously a way to earn money. Why not follow up?

I am now suddenly very curious about this number 10! I didn't take notice of the other guys at Moonlight in early December last year because I had my Laos twink (number 1).

I agree with the assessment of Banana room. I took my regular from Moonlight there on my last night and it was a very fun vibe, with customers both gay and straight genuinely enjoying themselves. I would have thought 500b would have been more appropriate if you wanted him to make contact, you have to grease his palms, make what my BF calls a "landmark" and make him greedy for more. After all he's a moonlight boy, not a Soi Sunee boy!
