I just return from Thailand. I went to Pattaya since my last visit almost 10 years ago. I was completely amazed by the vibrant night life and how wild it is! i don’t think your recommendation about Pattaya Walking Street and a straight sex show  will attract many adherents from this forum. We are a gay board after all . I disagree.

I used to go to the strip shows in a city called Funabashi, not far from Tokyo.

They had audience participation with the girls and I loved to see the university students losing their virginity. 😂

Threy were run by the yakuza and so disappeared during the government crackdown on yakuza illegal activities.

You could find out what was on at these theatres - called gekijo - by picking up a copy of any afternoon sports newspaper.

Yes! They are the shows I was telling you about!

The theatres that we frequented were a lot smaller and intimate than the ones shown -  which I think were in Shibuya. The girls and customers never wore masks.

Our favourite one was on the outskirts of Funabashi, sitting next to a rice farm. Being away from everything gave patrons complete privacy - not much chance of running into a neighbour - and all inhibitions went out the window. The strip shows were only advertised in the sports newspapers and certain magazines  so if you can't read Japanese, you wouldn't know about them.

you mention walking st but that location is not known now for gay life. Most of the action is now in Jomtien in what old timers like me refer to as the Complex which is being rebranded as Super town

several of the many gay bars there have shows which is step towards having gogos. I went there last night and struck up an encounter with a twink, of which there are many across the Complex. Didn’t off him because I was v tired hsving just arrived from England. I’m on Dongtan gay beach just now - many other gays in evidence enjoying the sunshine and warm weather, but few boys. Probably resting before the evening activities. Will go there tomorrow to check it out more.

YES YES YES - this is what the Jomtien Supertown Complex needs and I am VERY happy to hear that this trend is continuing.  Please note that there are 3 bars in the Complex that are pushing this limit.  They are (at least in November and December 2024 they were):

• M Bar,
• Club Lounge
• Best Bar
