Members Pete1111 Posted January 26 Members Posted January 26 When I heard that James Sweeney was creating a film costarring Dylan O'Brien, I was excited. I admire both quite a lot. Sweeney wrote, directed and starred in Straight Up a few years ago, a clever, funny movie. I watched it on Netflix. O'Brien has done a variety of roles. I enjoy him. The film is at Sundance, where it is having very positive buzz. I splurged and bought a ticket for the on-line screening before it sold out. Looking forward to it!! Twinless is about two grieving men that bond in support group and form unlikely friendship. Olddaddy and Marc in Calif 2 Quote
Members Pete1111 Posted January 31 Author Members Posted January 31 I streamed it twice and look forward to seeing it again. Would be a good one to see in a theater. Sweeney's first film, Straight Up, was so clever. That was no accident. Twinless has all the right stuff. Loved it. If the Academy gave Oscars to quirky, indie movies, Dylan O'Brien would get the Best Actor Oscar for this movie. Phenomenal. I loved how the movie sampled the song Crazy for this Girl. Quote
Members Pete1111 Posted April 10 Author Members Posted April 10 Good news. Twinless will be released this summer. https://variety.com/2025/film/news/twinless-sundance-sale-dylan-obrien-lionsgate-sony-1236284076/ My advice, don't read any reviews and ignore all the publicity. See it in a theater. IMO Dylan O'Brian deserves an Oscar nomination for this, but Hollywood is probably too fucked up to give an award. Quote
