Pantherz Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on different forums about how bad the air pollution in Bangkok is right now. Some people are saying it’s the worst they’ve experienced in all the years they’ve lived there. I’ve also read that schools have been closed because of it. For those of you currently in Bangkok, is it really that bad? Is it messing with any outdoor plans you had? I’ve got a trip coming up soon, and I want to be able to walk around and enjoy the city. I’m definitely not planning to wear a mask, so I’m wondering how manageable it is. Quote
vinapu Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I'm on my way there from.Chiang Rai and will update here in the evening. Unless of course I die from polution first or, more probably will find somebody to shield me from all that menace. Last weekend was manageable in my opinion and so was Chiang Rai which was hazy but far from poisonous. Certainly some of posts in politics forum here are more poisonous than air up north reader and Ruthrieston 1 1 Quote

Members sydneyboy1 Posted January 25 Members Posted January 25 As I’m reading this I’m watching a news bulletin on Bangkok’s air pollution. According to this report Bangkok is the world’s 5th most polluted city. It occurs during the cool season and is now an annual event. Quote

Serving staff are wearing shorts and polo shirts at night in the open air seating areas in Boyztown. Edited January 25 by daydreamer clarity Travellerdave 1 Quote
khaolakguy Posted January 25 Posted January 25 In Bangkok it’s hazy in the distance but I haven’t noted any issues with being outside for hours at a time. However my “exertions” are more normally indoors! reader 1 Quote

Ruthrieston Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Pattaya also has dangerously high levels of pollution, the air is so hazy that I can hardly see Koh Larn. Quote

Visited Moonlight with another member but did not off anybody We were last customers to leave bar though. Upon coming to the room, went straight to bed and slept till 11 straight , fortunately did not pee in the bed. As for air in Bangkok, noticeable hotter than week ago but I did not notice anything out of ordinary. It's always hard to breathe here because of humidity. So pack your things and come here Quote

It's not that bad, just bit of cough and running nose but certainly not appetizing so I spare boys my prolonged company until I feel better. Quote

Closest I came to "outdoors" was being squeezed between two Thai uni students on the BTS Green line at rush hour. I had intended to get off at Phloen Chit but stayed on until they departed at Thong Lo. khaolakguy, Ruthrieston, Min and 1 other 4 Quote

In the old days I stayed at the Dusit, convenient for Lumpini Park, but I preferred my bedroom, with a big mirror. Quote

Last December I had lunch there and had look around the place. It’s very nice and I would keen to hear a first hand report from anyone has stayed there. Quote

However, in my younger days friends and I would often wander the banks of the river in Tokyo and enjoy mutual jack-off sessions along the way. Unlike today that area was undeveloped - you probably couldn't do it now. And in those days Tokyo's air quality was probably the worst in the world - there was a constant white haze hanging over the city. Not any more. As for sexual encounters on the train, it was something I looked forward to practically every day! Ruthrieston and reader 2 Quote
