Bangkok -Specific Questions

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all,

Lol I am back with my specific questions topic. I always go through and read posts after post to gather as much info possible and then if I have any remaining questions about a location I create a topic. Because I understand it can be annoying without reading anything then just creating a new topic and asking people for information.

So after reading and reading for hours and days about Thailand [Bangkok specifically], I have some questions that seems unanswered for me and I would some guidance from the forum members:

1. I see the term "OFF" being used only in Thailand forum and no where else. Now I know it might sound dumb but what does 'off' mean in Thailand context? Is it only handjob or only BJ or what? Can someone please elaborate? I see people saying they get a guy from the club to 'off' him.

2. If I go get a guy from the gogo bar, does my hotel needs to be close to the bar/club?

3.  What is the process of choosing a guy from the bar? Do you wait for the show to end? Do you ask mamasan? How does it work?

4. Is there a gay concentrated area in Bangkok or is it spread all over the city? I do see 'Silom' being mentioned a lot.

5.  is the new 'Atlas Bar' same as Tawan? [I am into more hunky guys]

Thank you all.

This forum is treasure and I am so thankful people are always ready to share information to guide others.

[BTW I am planning between February or April, Not sure which month is better weatherwise for first timer in Bangkok]

Er, 'off' means take a boy off from the bar.

Hahaha

I completely understand you, as I am a big edging guy, where the art of getting off in an edging context is the ultimate slow teasing prize

1. As Keith said above , in case of girl bars you barfine them , in case of boy bars you off them. It's why you see term only on gay Thailand boards.

In order to take boy of premises you  must pay bar " off fee ", it's usually 500 baht but some bars may ask for more. In Moonlight bar it's 500 for go-go boys but 1000  for "models" , That money goes to bar , not boy. Boy will be tipped by you in the room

2. No, there are taxis available and you can take him wherever your hotel is although it's not unknown to science that some boys may not feel like travelling too far , specially to unknown area with after all, unknown customer

3.  You see guy you like , you can ask mamasan to bring him to you or , like I do, just motion him yourself to come to you . Usually you offer him a drink to know him bit better and discuss terms of engagement but it's quite possible that you do 'dry run if you are decided. Just ask him if he goes with you and he will go to dress in street clothes.

If you notice some suspension of reaction  , its better to offer that drink and talk to him over drink about what you guys exactly want to do together .

You can take guy at any time but those who are in the show (not all boys are)  may not be permitted to leave before show ends. The same goes with waiters , thay may be free to go only after bar closes

4. there's recent super handy map in ShamelessMack  blog

  https://shamelessmacktwo.travel.blog/2024/12/30/map-of-silom-surawong-area-december-2024/

there are basically two areas where massage shops are concentrated - Silom and Saphan Kwai and one area where bar are-Silom. You see map of other area also in Mack's blog.

Keep in mind that massage shops of our interest are spread all over the city

5. no, Atlas is in Patpong 2, The One )it's how Tawan is now named is in soi 6 (Tartawan ) about 300 metres away - check map ,mentioned above. There's word that lots of Tawan guys, but not all,  migrated to Atlas so you must check both bars. And of course report your findings here.

Idk why I always thought 'OFF' meant like offing someone [like releasing of semen, ejaculation] LOL I was so far off 😆😅

not really, your "off"is step next after our "off", after all you won't be offing guy to show him your stamp collection for simple reason that you left your collection at home

If the distance from the bar to your hotel involves a taxi, you should pay him the return taxi fare back to his bar.

Occasionally a boy will transport you both to your hotel on his motor-bike.

As they say in Thailand, same-same, but different.

Thank you for all the information everyone, that helps a lot.

I guess my one confusion is about massage shops. While I have noted some Gay massage shop names by reading different posts.

I wonder how do you actually identify a Gay massage shop in Bangkok? and to what level do they offer their services? by level i mean how much open they are to more intimate services?

I would argue that a massage shop does not need to be labeled as being gay.

In Thailand, things are much more fluid and naturally interchangeable then our more rigid western stereotypes.

I would even venture to say that the majority of the males working in these massage shops (even if there are also female masseurs in the same shop) are open to some kind of, what we would label in the western world, "gay adventure". The more important issue is to discover their menu of offerings, such as:

S = soft lite fun like handjob happy ending

SS = soft fun that does not include anal sex penetration but may include blowjob, kissing, handjob, B2B (body to body humping), etcetra

H = hard sex where anal sex penetration is on the menu. The guy may be Man (top only), Gay ( can bottom), both (versatile).

In closing, the price schedule is that H activities cost more than the S and SS activities.

I just now checked the Thai Massage_Insider LINE chat group and I see that some of their forum members list from lowest to highest the below pricing heirarchy:

B2B

S

SS

H

I was surprised, as I had thought that B2B should cost more than S - as it can be more intimate than a handjob happy ending.

Who knew?

If a shop is discussed here in this forum, it's gay enough 🤣 . Members here are laser-focussed. We don't waste time on girl shops.

Consider this: Men, whether straight or gay, tend to have little interest in therapeutic massage in itself. For lots of straight men, a "massage" without an offer of pussy would be pointless. If I have to hazard a guess, I'd say about 95% of "massage" establishments catering to straight men (with female staff) offer more of erotic relief than therapeutic relaxation. Ditto for gay men. A huge majority of massage shops with male staff would know that without the erotic, they'd be out of business. Of these, some would decide to serve only straight women, but I think the market for gay men is much bigger, and so if an establishment has male staff, then it can be assumed that it services gay men unless it clearly states that it only caters to straight women.

The ShamelessMack map of Silom referenced by @vinapu above has many massage shops in the Silom area marked. Its twin map (of Saphan Khwai area) has several more, marked in dark red (dark red = mostly or exclusively male staff). You can do a search of this forum or within the ShamelessMack blog itself of visit reports to any of the named shops, and you should be able to discern from the visit report what kind of "programme" the shop has.

I think, of the shops marked in medium red or dark red on the maps, only Prime is a non-erotic place. Prestige is likely also a virtuous establishment, though I think there was a report (was it you, @spoon or @vinapu?) who reported that exceptions can be made.

@Menaughty - you may be over thinking this. I understand this is your first visit, but I am sure you'll be fine.

This message, or something equivalent, ought to be a pinned post 😀

It may ease your mind if you keep in mind that all the guys working the shops know exactly why you're there if you request oil massage. Granted, some customers may have greater interest in the actual massage portion of the session but all are focused to varying degrees on the afters.

The masseur will take his clue from you. If you believe he's spending too much time on your legs, ask him to move on to your back. If you think he's spending to much time on your back, simply turn over.

When working on your front side, many masseurs will position themselves within in easy reach of their goods. This presents you with an ideal opportunity to communicate your intentions.

+1+1+1

Hope menaughty takes your advice seriously

My advice  for first timers will be go to Arena  for start. Has all advantages - close to Silom ghetto, discreet, well staffed, modestly priced and whatever one is looking for, almost guaranteed to deliver. And they likely saw and heard it all .  After the experience there one becomes immediately old hands, ready to brave  other shops like a pro and even dispense advice here.

Menaughty- just go ! There's no visit like first visit, years later you will remember every day clearly
