Club 117: new entrance and suite prices for 2025.

As of January 2, 2025, the new, increased entrance fees and suite fees for Club 117 in Rio are now (in BRL):

Entrance fees:

96 BRL — if paying with credit or debit card.

88 BRL — if paying in (Brazilian) cash.

Suite fees:

77 BRL — for 40 minutes.

[Editor’s note: Before any tourists complain about this slight increase, the prices for almost everything in Brazil are increasing, and the exchange rate for the USD, the EUR and the CAN are currently at insanely favorable rates for foreigners (currently above 6:1 for the USD).]

Yes, this is all true. Also it’s worth noting that 117 also raised the entry fee for the garotos from 35 R to 50 R. Not long before that, it was 25 R.

Inflation is a serious problem here in Brazil.

Will there be enough boys that can afford to front a 50 R entrance fee, not knowing in advance how or if they will earn it back? Keep in mind that many if not most of the boys travel a long way to work at the club.

Also, Brazilian clients (who earn their money in the Brazilian currency) have always been the most consistent client base. They also will feel the squeeze of higher entrance fees and cabin fees (and probably drink / menu prices, too). How this will affect attendance or spending at the club remains to be seen.

Then again, with prices rising everywhere in Brazil, and the exchange rate being less and less favorable for Brazilians, there may be no other choice for these venues to keep the engine running but to go with the trend of raising prices. It’s either this or close up shop.

Lagoa prices are very similar this days.

That and the overall boy inflation (heard the older guys working in the trade are pushing newcomer guys to increase their asking price, so more common to see R$ 200-250 starting price and like 400 with cum) is surely having a toll on the Brazilian clientele.

Going for a two boys sessions will look like spending R$ 700-800 overall, not something that middle class Brazilians can do 2-3 times a week.

So pick up your passports and down to Brazil, the saunas and the Brazilian hunks are needing the “gringo” tourist money more than ever to survive

Do not forget, Gp's pricing system is wiser than we, foreigners, know. They have differentiated rates for the locals, considerably lower than for us.

Each GP has he's own pricing model. Recently I brought a masseur (from one of the massage places in SP) to Lagoa. I let him roam free to pick someone for us. He was getting a lot of attention. Three GPs approached him and all quoted him 400. I had to step in to bring the price lower. The GPs can smell a newbie from a mile away.

So I would say the pricing is as below (for most GPs)

  1. Regular local
  2. Regular gringo
  3. New local
  4. New gringo

Obviously, you can negotiate for a lower price but personally I'll just pass if the first price is ridiculously high. Most time they will just do the minimum as they are not expecting a repeat.

I do not think so. You cannot expect the saunas to keep their prices in an inflationary context.

Rent is a huge fixed expense factor, especially for Lagoa.... she's owned the building forever. Does it look like she's done much in renovation in the last decade?

She can raise the price of consumables, but the entry fee gets out of hand, and then 50 for the guys, omg.... without them, what does she have?

If I remember correctly, suite fee was 50R in 2024? They increased it more than 50% then

I understand that it is necessary for business to increase fees to match inflation, but 50% increase feels too much

also why increase entry fee for boys, Brazilians are not famous for running business anyway, so whatever

Based on my observation, 70% of clients are locals.

I do not know how can they keep up with current price. Maybe their pension/salary also increased with inflation?

For those who wants their money worth, hiring from garoto com local might be more economical. Even if they charge 400/hr (one of my regular charges 200/hr standard for everyone). Its an hour with gozar minus the entrance, drink and suite fees.

I believed I saw a poster last week at 117 that the suite was 40 (not sure if its an old poster)

That was last week, which was still 2024. As mentioned above (and also as displayed above in a photo), the price increases at 117 began January 2, 2025.

I know. I was just stating that it might be 40 and not 50 as quoted by @babybear2

As a permanent resident, homeowner and brick-and-mortar business owner here in Rio, let me assure you that there are other costs besides rent or mortgage or menu items — and all of those costs have gone up with inflation. Electricity, water, gas.

This is going to hurt the Brazilian clients and the working boys the most. The boys will probably feel they have no other choice but to try to bump up their prices, to go with inflation and cover the increase in entrance fees for them. I think it’s foolish to think that the garotos’ programa prices will drop as a result (not that YOU who I’m responding to might be thinking this, just anyone who might be).

However, I do agree that Monik should invest in sprucing up the place — starting with updating the suites! As a longtime, regular customer, I’d feel a lot better about the price increases if I could see that the money is going into bettering the client experience — which includes aesthetics. Those round beds, plastic mattresses and flimsy linens are just awful!

oh boy, from 40R for 50 min => 77R for 40 min, 100% fee increase

inflation is Brazil is high, not no where near this high ...

202 probably will do the same soon

To be fair, I noticed a few rooms upstairs went through renovation in 2024. They even have sex chair now

Their upstairs rooms are big enough to do themed rooms with slings, and other stuff.... Rodolfo doesn't have the space or the imagination. I tried to talk him into putting sound absorption panels, like they use in DJ/sound booths especially for Karaoke nights...zero interest.

inflation is a pain everywhere. But can i ask a question not to be crude and definitely not trying to be rude either. But do you all really care that much about one of the boys "busting there nut"? Don't get me wrong its a wonderful feeling of accomplishment while I am trying to get my nut off if they get theres in the process. But I would not necessarily pay extra specifically for that. But in all honesty all I am trying to do with in the 1st hour of having my feet on the ground is plowing some tail. Enjoying young handsome vibrant cuisine of Brazilian men. But to make it clear I want them to enjoy and nut. But I am not paying extra. LOL is all.

We're all different... some like dick, some like pussies, lol

Once I've nutted, I don't care if they cum...some guys like to eat the cum 🤢 Some like feet, beards, smooth, tall, short...kissing is too gay for me, more than a cock in the ass 🤷‍♂️

The list is endless and thank goodness we're all different...imagine the competition if we weren't 🥺

117 in Rio did not offer suite rental for 50 minutes. 117 has used “40 minutes for suites” at least for the past 15 years. In 117, if you return the room key to the front desk at the 50-minute mark, then you wind up paying for two 40-minute suite rentals.

Lagoa in São Paulo offers a 50-minute  rental on its suites.

Respectfully, the non Brazilian friends complaining about this increase are thinking with their wallets (and being greedy). Of course, we can complain about the saunas' business model and the lack of investment (even if we blind ourselves to the improvements, like the new rooms in 202), but we cannot expect local prices (from the saunas entry tickets to the boys' fees) to remain unchanged when all other prices are going up in an inflationary context.

If you are actually concerned about the GP's welfare, pay them more. It is just a few dollars for you that would make a huge difference for them.

…. and if you’re truly concerned about the employees at the saunas being underpaid, tip them (bartenders, bar backs, front desk attendants, locker room attendant, cleaning crew).

Exactly, plus in Rio you may lose 8+ minutes round trip from the front desk to the room upstairs!

Now, as soon as I get handed the room key at the front desk, I immediately say into my phone: "Set alarm for 33 minutes" to make sure I do not get double charged and have evidence. That has helped me avoid some debates we had in the past.

One more thing, to the friends who give advice to Brazilians on how to run their business. I may be wrong, but I bet you have no idea on how to run a business when inflation is running crazy. The causes of inflation are in the policy makers decisions, not in the business owners' behavior, they just have to adapt to survive.
