Is there some kind of trade-off btw explicitness and politeness? Or shpuld the client b as graphic as possible? 

I use highly diplomatic and circular approach and we we settle on program I shyly ask ' how much you want ?'

there may be two kinds on answers:

1/ he quotes  or

2/ he asks ' how much you give me?'

if 1st case I either approve or counteroffer and that's the end ,if he doesn't agree we just go for vanilla massage during which most likely although not always he whispers "ok, ok  xxxx baht"  

in 2nd case I quote and we are in underscored part

we all are waiting but one of secrets of good reports is they must be written when poster feels like and not pressed or rushed, specially when he reports while still on vacations
