We tried Atlas and the rumours are true - full show with drag, muscles, candle/wax show, pole, 10 or so hard cocks coming out to the audience for touching, suck show and fuck show. The fuckers came out to the audience around every table for tips without disconnecting, that’s a skill! It was about half full at 10:30 at the start of the show and full when we left at 11:40 or so.

I walked past the One to a hook up just after and it’s shut.

The guy outside was loudly calling people in with promises of muscle boys and drinks, but whispered in my ear that there would be hard cocks and a fuck show. I assume the authorities are against these elements so best to get there soon before they become too well known for this….

no, that bar doesn't have rooms  but you can take guy to your own hotel room or if for this or that reason it's not suitable  guy will know where short time room will be avialable, this is  Patpong after all. Most likely it will be Pavillion Place just across the soi, 15 meters walk and it should be about 500 baht for 2-3 hrs.

Of course when you take guy from bar you need to pay bar off fee of 500 baht on top of whatever drinks you and possibly your companion consumed. After you done you need to tip guy and hunks from there may look at 3000 baht for short time.

Wow! 3000 baht for short-time?  In Brazil that will get me 2 or 3 hot guys or 1-1/2 porn stars haha!  Thailand has gotten expensive since I last visited, which was before the epidemic. How much are the drink prices now? When I left, they were 400 baht, bordering on 500 baht, at the Gogo bars. I'm thinking about taking a short visit to Pattaya this year, but I am not looking forward to the high cost of the nightlife.

We are talking about Atlas bar, home of hunks which may be everywhere in say, California but kind  of rarity in SE Asia so obviously their market price reflects that. Guys from other Bangkok bars may be happy with 2000-2500 and Saranrom guys are still asking for 500. Drinks are mostly 500 in some bars bit less , off fee almost uniformly 500 , only Moonlight from models is asking for 1000 and they may ask 6000-7000 for a tip. 

As for Pattaya  drinks there are 200-300 but BBB wants 1050 of fee for their guys and apparently XBoys wants 800. Classic boys may be the same. 

In my opinion it's hotels in the Silom and Sukhumvit area which went up the most  so when you will be coming  use old travellers advice " bring half things and twice as much money" . Rest assured fun is still to be had in Thailand. 

Comparing prices to what it was 5 years ago is counterproductive and only helps to make you bitter although it's favorite sport of all of us. I noticed that when I change subject to earnings comparison , subject tends to be changed.

I compare those prices 5 years ago because I have to have a point of reference.  People who are doing the job I did 5 years ago are still making the same wage I was making when I was in that role.  Thailand was going through a money-grab period in the gay community when I was last there and I am of the opinion that it's all overpriced.  You can get similar prices here in my small state of Delaware here in the USA.   But I am not going to complain.  They have not gone over the pain point for many customers it seems.  They ran me out of Thailand when the bars were licking their lips at 500 baht beers.  For now, I am content with Brazil, but I truly do miss the delicious foods of Thailand. The sexy guys found in the Jomtien complex, the weekend markets and oddly enough the cable news.

This may be just me, but I believe you can tell a place is becoming expensive when others start justifying the costs in ways that defy common expectations.  But it may just be me...  I am an MRO buyer for a living haha!

Cost of living, rent, food, transportation, guys PAY to go to work at a sauna, no customer that day, they're already in the red. I'm not aware of many guys that have "sponsors" in Brasil, not saying there are none....but nothing like they have in Thailand, some having a lineup of sponsors that think they're the only one 😳
