Popular Post ichigo Posted January 13 Author Popular Post Posted January 13 Gulf of Thailand 'stint' - part 1 Months ago when organising my Thailand trip I had the idea to break it up into different sections - Bangkok -> Andanman (so Phuket etc.) -> Bangkok -> Gulf of Thailand (Koh Samui etc.) -> Bangkok. I just finished half of the 'gulf' stint - I had wanted to visit Koh Samui as I hadn't visited it yet and I was going to combine it with Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, but decided that would be a little too much so in the end I decided Koh Samui -> Koh Tao -> back to Koh Samui. I arranged it this way to give myself some buffer space incase flights or ferries were delayed. Note: this section isn't too sexually exciting so feel free to skip. I feel like Koh Samui is similar to Phuket in a way, but just smaller and a little less busy. But wherever I went, all I noticed is there were so many farangs (both male and female) on motorbikes. Probably a combination of tourists and expats I would guess. It's a beautiful island though. Places of note (Koh Samui): Alpha Gay Resort and Spa - I've never stayed at a fully gay resort before so I decided to try it out so at least I could say that I did. For me, as I am quite introverted, I don't think a place like this is my vibe. There was a pool area where everyone hung out but I am not the type of person just to go hang and meet random people. I'm fine with meeting forum members because at least there is a common interest there or a place to go together (bars, dinner etc), but I'm not the type of person to randomly talk to people (although I am sure that they would all be friendly). Enough about myself though, the guy who ran the place (owner? manager? I'm not sure) was amazing. He always was always easily available through WhatsApp and nothing was too much. He organises events at the resort as well as pub crawls to the nearby gay bars. The resort itself is idyllic, the rooms are decent and priced well, and the pool area is clothing optional (although I did not partake in this). The website is also super clear and up to date - this is a big plus for me. I ended up going on a private tour (organised by the resort) to some of the famous touristy places on the island since it was my first time. There is also a night market nearby. Emerald Green Men's Club - this place is rather pricey but I thought I would give it a shot. The owner (farang guy) is quite chatty and talks you through the different options available and distinctly mentioning that there are no happy endings or sexual service. I opted for a 3 hour package which included a body polish (kinda similar to a body scrub), a face treatment and a massage. It was nearly 5000 thb, but I thought I would splurge a little. The therapist assigned to me was pleasant enough, did a good job and exceeded my expectations tbh. Chanothai Health Massage - this is a gay friendly place (rainbow flags out the front) and just a short walk from Alpha. I originally made contact through Hornet asking for a price list and engaged in some conversation with the guy on the other end (no face pic though). It's a regular shop, a little run down and not sure how many guys work there. The night I went in, there were only 2 guys there, the one I was in contact with and another guy. Tbh he wasn't really my type, but he was pleasant enough, spoke clear English and I was horny. Extra services were offered (at a similar price to Saphan Kwai shops) after maybe 15 minutes of massage. It was quite good and he was very engaging and eager to please. Koh Tao: So this part of my trip was partly inspired by @bkkmfj2648 and his trip report from some time ago. I caught a ferry from Koh Samui which was booked in advance and pretty straight forward and it took around 2.5 hours, making a stop at Koh Phangan part way through. Arrival at the pier was hectic but through the chaos, it was well-organised. I found my hotel shuttle (which was just a songtheaw) and I and a couple of other tourists were on the way to the resort up some quite treacherous terrain (well, just some quite steep and windy roads). Jamahkiri resort was stunning, however there were a lot of stairs to navigate (which I didn't mind too much) but if you have mobility issues, I probably wouldn't recommend this one. I didn't do a lot here tbh as the main focus on this island is diving which I am not really interested in, so I just spent time relaxing. There seemed to be a lot of people and more to do in the area nearby the pier, but the resort is a little more secluded with not much in walking distance - apart from a restaurant called Eagle View, which is on the top floor of what looks like a half finished abandoned building. The food and views were really good though (and much cheaper than the hotel food). The apps were a little quiet here, so BYO if you come visit. So that's it for now. Currently doing Jomtien/Pattaya and then back to Bangkok for the final part of my trip. 10tazione, vinapu, reader and 2 others 5 Quote

The sea in front of the hotel is amazing, especially if you take the kayaks offered by the hotel for an adventure. Did you hang out with any of the wonderful resort Myanmar staff? some were very interesting. vinapu and ichigo 2 Quote

What is it with this "Death Island"? Is his death number 25 or 26 over the last 10 years? I truly enjoyed my time on Koh Tao (Turtle Island), as it is so beautiful and unique. But, I have to say that there were moments when the hairs on the back of my neck did stand up, as I reported in my Koh Tao trip report: ichigo, reader and khaolakguy 3 Quote

Popular Post ichigo Posted 22 hours ago Author Popular Post Posted 22 hours ago Gulf of Thailand 'stint' - part 2 Leaving Samui was a pleasant experience - the airport is all (mostly) open-air and is quite nice. The flight prices on Bangkok Airways are quite high for domestic flights, but I understand that because Bangkok Airways owns the airport, they can do so. There are cheaper options which involve flying to Surat Thani (or others) but it is more time intensive. However, my experience on Bangkok Airways was quite pleasant. A meal was served even though the flight was relatively short. Arriving back at Suvarnabhumi, I had pre-booked a bus from Bell Travel Service (325 thb) which took me to North Pattaya Bus Station, and then to my hotel in a minibus. The big bus was comfortable with a 1-2 seat configuration. Jomtien I've been here a couple of times in the past and tbh never really had an amazing time but I was determined to make it work. And it did lol. Zing Resort and Spa - I've stayed here before and didn't think much of it, but I decided to try again and it was actually quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were quite roomy, there was a small balcony and the price was very cheap. Actually the cheapest of all the hotels I've stayed on my trip. Bars - In the past, the host bars in the complex usually intimidated me, however this time I made it work. I just strolled slowly down the main street and checked out the guys to see who was my type. Shortly, I found a guy that fits my general 'type' (I have lots of types) at Question Mark bar, and sat down with him to have a drink. He is only 2 years younger than me and his English skills were excellent and conversing was easy. I forget sometimes how cheap Pattaya/Jomtien can be - my drink, his drink and off fee only added up to 580 thb. He took me to M2M bar afterwards where we watched the show which consisted of ladyboy lip-syncing backed up by cute dancers. Back at the hotel he told me he could 'do everything' and he certainly did. Subsequently, I visited his bar the following night as well as taking him to the beach the day after. I'm pleased that the stars aligned that night and I was able to find a connection with someone (who now is in regular contact with me). Massage - I frequented Burirom on this trip. The first time, I received a foot massage from a cute guy and whilst receiving said foot massage, there was another guy who was totally my type working on another customer in the chair next to mine. I decided to test my luck the next day and again the stars aligned and the other guy ended up giving me a foot massage. During, there was a lot of eye contact as well as cheeky smiles exchanged. Later I found him on Hornet and scheduled a Thai massage for the next day. I knew there was a high probability of extras, but I decided to test the waters anyway and not wear any underwear underneath the pyjamas which are to be worn during a Thai massage. I could tell he was well-trained as he gave me a proper massage and we did end up having some light fun and he is quite sweet. Minimal English but he invited me to go to the temple later on. Beach - I went to Dongtan beach a couple of times. I could find 2 gay concessions no. 20 and no. 28 - marked by rainbow flags. I went to no. 20 first (with my friend from the bar) and had a relaxing time. Some good looking staff members there and even better when they took off their shirts. So easy to order food, drinks and whatever. A few days later I went to no. 28 and if the guys at no. 20 were good, the guys at no. 28 were even better. I spoke to a couple of guys that work there and they are from Myanmar, and there was one that was absolutely stunning. Just note that all the beach concessions are closed on Wednesdays - I did know this a long time ago, but I forgot and when I turned up on a Wednesday, I just had to sit in the sand lol. Pattaya After a few days in Jomtien I stayed a few days in Pattaya. I've been here before and the vibe here is different from Jomtien - Jomtien is definitely more relaxed. Hotel - I stayed at The Classroom, which was mentioned in one of Vinapu's trip reports some time ago. The hotel is mostly geared towards the straights, but they are very welcoming of the gay clientele (and it is situated very close to the gay venues). The rooms are nicely sized (bathroom a little small though), and quite simple but it does the job. There is also a discreet side door to enter that bypasses everything. The cost was reasonable and if you book direct, you get 100 thb credit for food at the hotel each day. I recommend the pizzas here - they are thin crust and delicious. The website was also very clear, and drinks are cheap (I paid 85 thb for a gin and tonic which I think is the cheapest I've ever paid. I am so used to paying 500 thb at the gogo bars in Bangkok lol). The ladies at the bar downstairs were also friendly and I chatted with them from time to time. Bars - X-boys didn't have the greatest quality of boys, but the show was creative, sexy and at times, explicit. There were some quite large (non-condomed) appendages on display. There is a show at 22:00 and 23:00. Across the soi in Dreamboys, the quality was much better, however there was no show. I did end up taking a guy off, was from Myanmar and spoke minimal English but he was totally my type. He was really sweet and excellent in bed. He did end up inviting me out drinking with his friends (in some other part of Pattaya) but I had to decline. I also went to A-Bomb which is in the same building as The Classroom. Very low in customer numbers, boy numbers (there were only 2 available), however the show still went on and there were some very nice appendages on display. Most of the show boys left afterwards though. Massage - last year I went to Paradise massage (which is just a few doors down from The Classroom), and had a particularly excellent time with a guy who did everything and I was hoping for a repeat, except he had gone home. There were a few other guys to choose from and I chose a nice looking Cambodian boy. He was pleasant, but the massage was very rough, his hands moved too fast and it was just all a bit haphazard. Afters were had, he came, I came, kinda satisfying but definitely no repeat there. So all in all, I had a pretty good time here and I look forward to returning at some stage, whenever that may be. I'm back in Bangkok now for the final part of my trip. reader, BjornAgain, Kiwi306 and 5 others 8 Quote
Raposa Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Thanks for the latest installment of your series of reports. Hope you enjoy Bangkok again. Try a foot massage from around 1pm at either Avarin or Green massage. Most boys come at around that time and then you have the time to leisurely check them out. Quote
