This time, I noticed something different about K., who used to be the star of the bar and who came back from Laos just before New Year. Ooh i know him. In 2023 my Myanmar friend introduced him to me at freshboys bar. His name is wayan or something like that. Frankly, I didn't like his attitude very much and I didn't take him out of the bar.

My friend gave some information about him and told intersting story: He is new, young and very popular, he does not save money, he spends too much, he is partygoer everday. He has got spoiled manners.

Once no 7 was sitting with Chinese customers at bar, he suddenly stood up and said "I don't want your money", threw the money on the table and left the bar. everyone was shocked.

On another day, another customer returned to the bar angrily and demanded a refund of the off fee given for no 7. Because they went to the hotel together, but #7 said that the bathroom was dirty so he would not take a bath unless it was cleaned . They started argued at room and customer returned to bar. 😆

Interesting gossip. I didn’t see that coming. I have several comments though

1. The boy certainly wasn’t new in 2023. I think I saw him even before Covid, or at least right after.
2. I have to give him credit though for giving a piece of his mind to a customer. Whether that kind of behavior could be justified, we need more data. The Chinese customer could have been way out of line or incredibly rude, we don’t know.
3. He’s obviously of great value to the bar because he wasn’t fired after such incidents.
4. All these make me wonder what exactly is his appeal? Why he has been so popular? I’m certainly a big fan of the twink tribe where he belongs but I don’t see it and never have the desire to call him down. Cute face, but not that cute. Nice body, but not that nice (and he’s been getting a bit chubby last year). And it doesn’t look like he goes out of his way to please customers either. He looked pretty bored sitting with them.

I don't know, I just reported what I was told. However, the guy who commented was a very knowledgeable and entertaining person who had been working in Bangkok bars for a long time. He was more knowledgeable than the mamasans. He had interesting and entertaining comments so I loved going to bars with him but he left the bar scene last year. Lately my only interests are Dreamboy and Moonlight bar.

From my own experience and what I hear from others when comes to compensating boy for travel  it's free run all over the place, from guys making very demanding requests all the way down to asking only to pay off fee to the bar and expenses on the tour,  which goes without saying. 

I think Tiny Lao summarized it above the best - getting away from the work and getting paid for that.

Expectations and requests  may vary depending who initiates an idea, us or boy. If it's his , request may be tempered by that fact , if we want him to go , he may shrewdly milk the situation. 

I suspect guy like an idea of travelling as it's not an opportunity awarded to them  often and  may be very reasonable in their expectancies. 

I liked  proposal Pattaya boy made when he suggested I take him to Bangkok for few days: off fee , expenses plus 1000 spending money per day and 3000 per night but only if we sleep together ( he wanted   trip that badly that he suggested if I bring other boy he will sleep on the floor, I ended renting cheap room for him in nearby hotel but it was needed only for one night).

If somebody asks me what I consider fair for trip of at least 3 days - Long Time fee minus 1000 per day as long-term discount plus of course expenses and off fee.
