We tried out the new bar, opposite foodland. Won't last. Very posh, 4 semi circular  booths, 3 quite attractive  boys dancing on counter, no customers. No idea what they are doing.  Most attractive boy summoned, given vinapu tuck. I offered to buy him a drink, he didn't understand! From Myanmar.  You think he'd have learned 'would you like a drink'. He confirmed  he preferred  girls to boys! Not that that necessarily matters. @floridarob has already told the Owner, an American,  that he has problems.  Vinapu then went off to add to his stamp collection.

Having visited the bar twice, I, too, am puzzled by the owner’s aspiration. 

On my first visit, all three waiters came to table to inquire if I wanted company.

On second visit, sat at bar but was generally ignored.

Compared to the three other gay-oriented bars on Patpong 2 (the two HM bars and the one under Fresh Boys with pool table), they all have very friendly staff who speak English and are offable. 

Dragon an Koi doesn’t appear to be operating with same agenda. And if that’s the case, it’s main competition is the Crown Royal across the soi.

Thare was no plan at all this time but sad circumstance. My best friend died and I decided I owe to him and his family to attend his funeral. Since it was half way  between my home and Thailand and I spotted cheap flight to bkk I resolved  to buy it and worry about using it week later, after funeral. Which exactly happened and glad I did as it helped me to place me back on track.

Trip goes pretty well, only 1 manageable boy BS so far. Considering it was totally unplanned and decided on the whim it would be a treat but don't lose fact that unfortunately it's on tail end of my friend funeral so I'm somewhat subdued. 

But I like your comments above, thank you for cheering me up.
