TotallyOz Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I use Door 2 Door often. They are normally pretty good. Their website is often incorrect and does not show the correct items and many things they say they offer they don't. In essence, they don't know how to update their website. Today, I ordered from them and nothing came. After an hour, I called them and was told: Internet Not Work for Orders for over 2 Days. I asked why they didn't put a sign on the site saying this. She said, we don't know how to do Internet Mister. It would be nice if they can't take orders via the Internet to let customers know on the site or via e-mail after an order is placed. Instead, a delivery confirmation e-mail was sent. Get it together Door 2 Door. Quote

Get it together Door 2 Door. GT, Try these folks: WOW - Waiter on Wheels http://www.wowpattaya.com/ Heavily advertised on Sophon Cable... NO 10% service charge... I have never used any delivery service... so cannot say if OK or not. tj Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I have used both services. When I used WOW I asked them to bring a new menu and they brought me the menu from D2D. Interesting thing is the prices are higher on the D2D menu than is you order directly from the restaurant. There is also a delivery charge and with the tip it can be a lot more expensive. Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 They are owned by the same people and thus why they brought you a WOW menu. I gave up on WOW when I would order and they would say out of stock. Then, when I used Door2Door, it was (20 percent higher). Quote
2lz2p Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I have used door to door a few times - I usually order through the internet (as their site says, they will call you back to confirm the order - I think within 10 minutes, but they have always called me back within 5 minutes - they also send a confirming email) -- I quit telephoning my orders in when the lady taking the order calculated it by adding the food and delivery charge - then applying the 10% service charge to the total - it was only about 7 Baht more (10% of 70 Baht) - but it just irritated me to be paying for delivery and then expected to pay a service charge on top of that - after a bit of discussion and her saying that was the price, I said fine, just cancel the order. I then ordered from another restaurant through WOW (still had a delivery charge for Jomtien - but no service charge). Sometime later when I wanted to order from a D2D listed restaurant, I used the website, which calculates the service charge on the food price only and then adds the delivery charge. Also, as mentioned, the Door to Door price can be 20% higher - the half feast from the Great American Rib Company is shown on Door to Door as 780 Baht - if ordered from the restaurant the price is around 650 Baht if I recall correctly - happened to notice the difference when I was thinking about ordering that item through D2D - needless to say, I didn't place that order. I also have found that getting several items in several containers that you need to sort out and put in plates is just not the same as having it served to you at the restaurant . So, I usually order something simple - hamburger, sandwich, bowl of chili, etc. rather than a full meal when using D2D. Quote
Guest beachlover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Unbelievable... Door2Door can't take internet orders but their website still functions normally and tells users the order has been processed and will be delivered? And they didn't do anything about it for two days? How is this remotely acceptable? WTF... Don't know how to "do internet"?... It's an online company! Quote
