Since I've been such a prig here, let me try a fun poll. I don't suppose it has much to do with Thailand, but it might give some insight into us all. From the list of choices in the poll select the three you would most enjoy having a dinner with if all of you were to dine together. Remember to pick 3 (and only 3) and please feel free to tell us why.

Nice poll! I voted for Madona, Jesus Christ and Leonardo di Caprio - oops - da Vinci.

Madona because she is one of the great icons of our time, a stunning artist who, like all great artists, breaks down barriers and extends horizons, a gorgeous woman, and I think it would be fun to see if she turned me on - sexually, that is.

Jesus Christ because I think he must have been a pretty lonely guy for most of his 33 years on this planet. I'd ask if he was ever happy, and I'd really like to know what he got up to during his 3 years in the desert. I'd also ask if he had even the remotest inclination of the long-term effect of what he was doing and preaching. Would he be happy that more than a billion now worship him as the son of God, and a billion+ more regards him as a prophet? What would he think of the slaughter of billions in his name over the centuries? And I'd sure like him to tell me the secret of turning water into wine!

Leonardo da Vinci because he was not just an extraordinary painter and sculptor. He was a talented musician, and one of the greatest innovators of all time. He actually visualised a helicopter, solar power and a calculator way back in the late 15th/early 16th centuries. He was also gay, and I'd like to know what gay life was like in those days. I'd ask how he found time to do all he achieved and all his experiments. I'd love to know what it was like working in the Borgia household, how he found working in Rome alongside Michelangelo and Raphael . . so much! Oh! - and who exactly is the Mona Lisa smiling at?

I chose Obama, DaVinci and Gates. I think they would make for an interesting conversation.

So did I. Come to think of it... I might swap DaVinci for Madonna. I admire how versatile and dynamic she and her career have been.

Obama for sure.

Gay Button is a foodie and it is a meal afterall.

And Jesus washing our feet is even better than a Thai boy with a wet towel.

I know I am probably in the minority, but I wouldn't walk across the room to talk to Madonna.

I guess you are not as gay as I thought you were. :) jk

Since I have traveled on several tours with Madonna and saw her in at least 20 cities around the world, I had better not even get into a discussion on the greatest pop singer performer (not voice) that has ever walked the earth (other than Michael). ;)

I chose the 2 Bill's and Fidel. I have met Leo. I have dreamed of Da Vinci. So, dinner with the 2 Bills and Fidel would be great for me. Naturally, I'd have to keep my IPad hidden from both Gates and Fidel.

Magnificent...

GT - I am certainly as gay or more so than you. Well, maybe not. LOL It may be a generational thing, but I think she is over rated.

I've never been a big Madonna fan given some of her earlier behaviors. She's no doubt a pop icon in the world but that alone doesn't make her anybody I admire. The current top icon is probably Lady Gaga and, in my book, she ain't no lady and I'm certainly not going gaga over her; in fact, I wouldn't let her in my home as even I have my standards! (as low as those may be....)

Back to the topic, I voted for Obama and DaVinci. I could think of a whole lot of other names (Mandela or Gandhi, for example) that I'd want to have dinner with other than the remainder of the list.

[if GB reads this, no offense intended - but my guess is you would acknowledge that Rich wasn't really too serious putting you on the list in the first place].

I could only find 2, Gaybutton & Bill Gates.

For the record, I doubt Jesus Christ ever existed & even if he did, then I'm not going to dine with a leading representative of what has become the world's largest officially homophobic organisation.

My choices -

GB - because he sounds like someone I'd really like to get to know personally, even if he's occasionally tough and no-nonsense.

Leonardo da Vinci - one of the greatest creative minds ever...and I wanna find out how he persuaded so many good looking guys to strip and pose for him, too.

Thaksin - before hubris brought about his downfall, he made Thailand one of the four Asian economic tigers.

There is no doubt Jesus existed, but whether or not he was who he said it was is another matter altogether. I don't think he would recognize the organization that has come to bear his name. This "teacher" taught love for fellow man, not the hatred that is spewed out in his name.

I dont fancy any of these people apart from perhaps GB one day to get to know what makes him really tick lol

And one I have already met.

That reminds me also some of the stars

I have met over the years are:-

Elton John many times, can be very moody, but great fun very generous, when not stoned I hear he is very boring now but david his Boyfriend has worked wonder for him, elton is the Husband by the way in case you was wondering, as he wont go any where drugs or alcohol are served don't blame him.

Rod Steward Great Fun, not as mean as protrayed but quite aggressive when stoned.

Madonna she had a Black Boy friend at the time, he was about 6.6 tall but what he did not know, she also had a German girlfriend, well she was German, but looked more like man, Madonna swore like a trooper and was the greatest fun to party with, lol

Federico Fellini and Sophia Loren, was due to meet Rod Stewart at the white elephant on the river My friend who was his assistant was waiting at the airport for his arrival he told me to go and sit with these two people I had no idea who they were they had no idea who I was but I thought well it will only be for a while after telling them my life story which is amusing fun and quite gripping at time they could not believe I was just some one baby sitting them both, Rod Never arrived I have very little money and I had no idea who was going to pay the bill but as they left they said it was the most amusing evening they have both had in years, how funny was that.

Michael Jackson, he was not at all shy and never spoke in a squeaky voice, seemed to know exactly what was going on around him, and was not surrounded by sycophants as Madonna was. Nice guy.

Judy Garland met her in London just before she died and we all went to a Gay Pub, loves Gays and then to a friend of mines Council Flat in Vauxhall London, the building out side was so hideous, she thought we had taken her to some drugs den, but when we got in this Guy had a Builder boyfriend, who had transferred this Flat into the most amazing place to live, she was Gob Smacked, such a fun lady and had so many great stories to share.

The list is endless, because my best friend was a free lance journalist and use to Interview the stars, also my other best friend in Australia does the same now, but they got fed up with talking to many Stars who can be the most boring people on earth, I did not know half of them, so treated then the same as I would any one, with wit and fun dialog, so they loved it, he use to get me to go and Interview them, my friend went on to be Rod Stewarts Publicist an assistant, so through him I was with so many Stars every day.

The best 2 I can remember one was Elizabeth Taylor, the other was Liberace, to which is about to have a film made about his life and if Michael Douglas gets over his Cancer of the throat Illness, will play Liberace, with Matt Damon to be his lover, Scott Thorson, the rest of the cast is to be negotiated, so my friend tells me from the States Director Scott Soderbergh director.

Lee (liberace) as he was known, was nothing as you would imagine, he was so laid back and interesting, he use to say he was just a classical pianist, then some guy came to a show he was hosting, in the penguin suite and said they had a proposition, (They the Mafia), for him to make him into a world star, strating in Vegas, and the rest is history. There is a lot to say about him, as I flew to see him in Las Vegas and he had just had his and her face lifts with Scott, his lover, but no time here.

Liz was a different cup of tea, I met here through Rod Stewart, who said I was Elton's lawyer to her, as he likes to make out he was surround by interesting people, of note, but he is a great comic, when I said I'm not! she said thanks fcku for that, I thought you was going to be another fckuing bore of the night, after 2 hours and 7 jack denials, she was swearing like a trooper and laughing as though it was her last.

So many I should write a book.

Great post! Fascinating insights! Liberace certainly was a classically trained pianist - and a very good one, too, playing concertos with major orchestras like the Chicago Symphony before he found his true calling amongst the glitz and glamour.

You definitely should write a book. If you need an editor, I'd certainly be interested in helping!

Indeed, great post HeyGay.

You should really consider writing a book.

There are several fellas who post regularly on the

gay boards who, like fountainhall, could assist.

In these past several days there have been posts on this

and GB's board which are remembering the good times in Gay Thailand,

its history. All fascinating and informative.

Our dear GayPattayan often spoke of writing a book about Gay Pattaya,

yet he passed without being able to do so.

Thanks again HeyGay!

Now you are trying to find your match by asking:

LOL My mother always said the first one to speak is usually the guilty party. :)

I chose the 2 Bill's and Fidel. But, I would be up for a dinner IF Justin came along. :)

Canadian pop-R&B singer who is the teen girls dreams. He has done quite a bit of videos and actually had one I liked. But, I think he has little talent. IMHO

He sings all the love songs to girls. Too young to even know what love is but they eat it up.

Justin-Bieber-Favorite-Girl1-500x500.jpg

This was the one video I liked. PS as I played it both of the Thai boys in my place starting singing the words. That shows you how little I knew about him as I don't like him or his music.

I prefer a real voice: Barry White. :)

A friend of mine Interviewed him for his celebrity Colum and told me his is quite a cutie, but his Mum is very pushy as you would expect, if he is to get fame and fortune so early, but can you imagine how affected he would be now, since P Diddy Bought Him a lamborghini

Not my type at all, but I'm sure some will be creaming their Knickers for him. mind you all depends on what Country your in, if its Europe the age of consent is 16, but In most states of the USA 18 and 21 is the norm. he is 16 after all.?
