Guest kjun12 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I had been to Pattaya once before and really disliked the place. I felt it was nothing but a filthy pit of raw pedophile sex. Unfortunately, this visit was colored by an encounter with a German who was dragging a young boy down the street against the boy's will. The kid was crying and the fellow just would not let him go. Our encounter ended with harsh words and me pushing him to the ground and the boy running away. This past weekend I returned with friends and much trepidation. With happiness I must report that my opinion is very different. We had a very good time. The show had much to do with this. The costumes and set are great and the show was very good. This time I did not even go to a bar. Return visits are in the cards. Just wanted to say this since many of you live there and seem to really love the place. Quote

Yes they say the costumes at the VENUE PUB are most amazing, but if you like shows BOYZ BOYZ BOYZ and COPA with TIFFANIES AND ALCAZAR wonderful also. So many nice things happening in Thailand now, so many Boys and very few farangs apart from Bangkok where there is so many farangs. Quote
Guest kjun12 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 OK I'll bite the show Where? Sorry, I forgot to say the show was Alcazar. Quote
Guest Mark7711 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Ok I will also run with this one as well. A German who was dragging a young boy down the street against the boy's will. The kid was crying and the fellow just would not let him go. As some body that has many straight friends here with both step children and mixed Thai farang parentage how could you possibly know what the situation was about just a question? Quote
Guest Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I'll add my 2 cents as well. My first impression Pattaya was the same as yours. I could not wait to get out. I despised the place and much preferred Bangkok and Chiang Mai. When I went back for a second visit, I met Boy Special #1 and since all of his friends were in Pattaya, that is where I stayed most of the time. I now really enjoy the city. The Plaza is a lot of fun and Boyztown is a great bargain. Mark and his team have really improved the look of Sunee IMHO. Although, I did enjoy the sleeze of the old Krazy. For anyone that gets a bad first impression of Pattaya, my suggestion is to sit in Come In Bar for 2 hours. Just drink and watch the people going by. It is fun and you realize that it is a community atmosphere unlike many places in Thailand. Quote
Guest funguy542003 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 As a farang who has visited Thailand 4 times I have always found Pattaya the most friendly of all the places visited. To sit and watch the world go by from the bar outside Boys Boys Boys is something special. Quote
