Popular Post vinapu Posted Wednesday at 05:25 PM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 05:25 PM Reading few recent reports I have feeling that I was is some bars last weekend exactly at the same time some other members were. On Sunday I visited Freshboys first. Arrived just as show started. Bar was full, actually they asked some customers to move over to create first row room for senior citizen I. E. me. As usual tipped best looking guy just for looking pretty and my taste was confirmed as almost immediately he was called over by some farang and soon enough they both marched out. I was thrilled few good looking guys were trying quite hard to draw my attention. But I had other plans/ hopes so left with show still going out. Arrived at Jupiter at 11. Again bar full and I got some seat to the right of the stage. Not great to seat but with great view of changing room across. In Jupiter I always enjoyed being unknown as I neither patronize them often ( usually once per trip) and rarely off from there. This was naive as soon one of mamasan appeared with his phone, showed me Line profile of 18past19, our member I usually go there with if we happen to be in Bangkok at the same time ND asked whe my friend is coming. So obviously he connected dots we'll. So I'm not that anonymous there it seems. It seemed to work this time as his next question was whom I like and I told him. He made some laser movements and soon told me guy will come to seat with me after he will be done with show. So finally I nailed my guy I tried to bring attention to myself before in vain. Nice sense of achievement. It worked surprisingly well, chiefly because I preemptive some discussion by telling him his name and where he is from which surprised him a lot but in nice and thrilling way. Fact that he agreed for long time improved experience even more. Great encounter, much better than expected as I expected some primadonna behaviour but no, nothing like this. Obviously he knows on which tree money grows and made sure I'm happy. Only thing which may keep me from repeat was tip asked for but that is issue for future trip in November of 2032 or later this year, whatever will come first. Soi it looks my lucky streak at Jupiter continues. On Monday it was time for Goodboys. At 10 pm bar was pretty empty but show was going on. One of Viet brothers working there imedistely recognized me from my visit with ichigo at Atlas last weekend. Seems he likes, at Goodboys better. Feeling amorous and charitable after conquering K2 last night I invited him for a drink and warned him I won't off him tonight. Nevertheless he made sure I was properly entertained and I made sure he was properly compensated for his truobles. At 11 moved to Moonlight. Shockingly empty. Only 9 customers for the show time ! There were more waiters, and mamasans. And not many guys either. One I was looking for, Y, was absent and so was, recently discussed number 10. It must be some desperation for business as both guys I had sitting with me last weekend approached me, Tawan style asking how I am. And so did Nut, one of their models. Even Babe for the first time smiled and waved at me, no doubt because I tipped him 100 baht during dancing routine. So bar seems to be in trouble but I can't explain why. Guys are great looking as, always and show, while not flashy is still decent, it's boy bar not La Scala after all. Since my resolve of not going home without offing Y, Mamasan offered to call him and he confirmed his arrival soon enough. So second night in row great guy perusing my stamp collection. Not a bad for otherwise celibate trip. BL8gPt, ichigo, spoon and 3 others 6 Quote
Popular Post reader Posted Wednesday at 06:23 PM Author Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 06:23 PM Dropped by Midnight bar (formerly Hot Male beer bar) about 11:30 tonight. Hotmale show bar and HM upstairs bar have been sold. The buyers were reportedly former manager of HM and two other locals. They purchased it from same individual who owns Moonlight. Bartenders and waiters now wearing more casual attire. Bar staff was asked whether they wanted to remain downstairs or go up stairs with new owners. It seems that just about all opted to remain below. Other than that, you won’t notice any difference. BL8gPt, jamiebee, floridarob and 3 others 6 Quote

But, all reinventions of businesses need investment, and I hope they haven't spent their last bahts paying the former owner, but instead have enough left over to invest anew. The easiest and cheapest way to find out what's needed to revive the bar is to read this forum🥰. One can learn a lot about what regular visitors to Bangkok want to see in a bar. Here's a quick run-down of improvements needed: 1. Boys: The boys they have are physique-wise competitive with the market. They could be presented better (lose the red pants and T-shirts). They should be the ones bringing drinks to customers (not waiters) so that opportunities are immediately created for a personal smile and interaction. In the process, lay off the waiters and save costs. 2. Offer a private dance option, e.g. 500 baht for 15 minutes in a small screened off corner. Hands-on allowed, but no cumming. 3. Create a system for customer feedback (online platform) about boys' performance after take-out. Incentivise feedback by offering a discount code in response to feedback received. Customer can redeem the discount code for 50% the cost of a drink or off-fee within, say, 12 months. (I think McDonald's or Burgerking has something similar in several countries). Naturally, use the feedback so obtained to (a) get rid of duds and (b) give a "best performer for the month" cash award to which boy gats the best agreggate feedback. 4. Pricing: To regain market share quickly, they need to run a series of promotions over the next 6 - 12 months. For example: One free boy-drink for every customer drink. It saves the customer 400 - 500 baht, but the cost of pouring an extra drink is probably no more than 20 baht for the liquid and maybe 50 baht commission to the boy. This encourages customers to call a boy to his side, thereby increasing chances for offs. Makes it profitable for boys to work there as well when chances of off are enhanced. Another example: First 20 customers of the evening gets 50% off first drink, and 50% off the off-fee. Makes itself look busy, not half dead. 5. Make the show more interactive and fun: Example, spin a roulette or draw-a-card game with five rounds where each winner (customer) of a round gets to strip a boy of one item of clothing. Needless to say - last winner gets to strip the underwear. Another example, Hire a beefy boy. Have a lucky draw for a customer to oil the boy up for muscle posing, then have another lucky draw for another customer to wipe him down. (Can do similar for a soaping/shower show.) 6. Marketing: Post regularly on Facebook. Open a profile (and post regularly) on WeChat, Sina Weibo, Instagram, TikTok, if they haven't already. Not difficult to handle multiple languages using online translation tools. Post a picture or short video and write/translate a simple caption. vinapu, Department_Of_Agriculture, jamiebee and 2 others 4 1 Quote

I understand that sale price was substantially below asking price. Transaction did, after all, take place in Patpong. Quote

If anything, I associate Patpong with overpriced, like the drinks, boys and tips. Referring to the bargaining that tourists engage in with vendors on PP 1. As for the drinks at the boy bars, really don’t consider them overpriced when you consider your drink is admission to the show. They’re about the equivalent to movie theater admission at home. As for boy tip of 2500 baht ($74 at current exchange rate) for going with total stranger to have sex doesn’t sound outrageous. You’d spend that on a steak and few drinks. Quote

It's been in business for a very long time, so maybe if you're right that it's going to be an SM bar, somebody thinks there's a growing market for this? The existing S&M bar was owned by the same Jew who owned the Patpong Museum. He is now rotting in jail in Phuket after being convicted for his links to a paedophile ring on that island. All his businesses were shut down - the Patpong Museum, the Bar Bar S&M club, the next door The Strip go go bar, the XXX Lounge go go bar, the Black Pagoda go go bar up on the bridge and the newly-opened Delaney's Irish Pub, next door to Screw Boy. All his businesses were shut down and their names were permanently banned. Yet, shortly thereafter. the S&M club reopened under a new name - having changed from Bar Bar to Octopus - and then The Strip reopened under the new name of Kinky Girls. In both cases, the so-called buyers/new owners were women with no apparent financial capacity of their own. The word was that they were but proxies for the Jew. Now, it seems that he is confident that he will be freed on appeal (and I believe that he had nothing to do with the bad actors down in Phuket and it was guilt by association)and there is talk that the Patpong Museum will reopen if he is freed. The S&M club was actually his biggest money earner. He said that he made millions from it - millions of dollars, not baht - and that it funded most of his other ventures. So the red cage that was in the Patpong Museum sitting alongside other items from the Bar Bar S&M club is no coincidence. Let us see what happens. The reopening of the Jew's venues would be a shot in the arm for Patpong 2 and I would particularly welcome the return of the Patpong Museum. Travelingguy 1 Quote

My dear dimwit, Delaney's is not next door to anything as it is no longer in existence, as I pointed out. It was in the same row as Screw Boy - which is, of course also no longer a name to be found there. Delaney's was a 10 a second walk away - although perhaps considerably longer at the pace at which you hobble along. Should I have said "practically next door" for the benefit of one as challenged as yourself? vinapu 1 Quote
