abidismaili Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 I am reading again travel stories here. This triggers the following question: Do you live there or you took the two week quarentaine option? If the last does your employer allow you to work these 2 weeks? Else it is quite a chunk out of your yearly leave days. Quote
Guest Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 I took the "two week" =15 night quarantine option. I don't have an employer, as I saved and invested for years in order to retire quite a few years earlier than normal. I've also always been happy to rent spare rooms out to some carefully selected and well behaved tenants. So even free "house sitting" when I'm away on holiday. For anyone in employment and working from home on a laptop, consider a negotiation with your employer. If you're a valued employee and the employer is reasonable, then working from a hotel in Thailand with good wifi is no different to working from home. I had a zoom meeting with a friend and a few whats app audio discussions in quarantine and all went fine. You might also want to look at the ratios. Working, 5 weeks holiday + 2 weeks from home in quarantine: 35:15 So 2.3 days of holiday for every day in quarantine. Tourist visa 60 days + extension 30 days: (90-15):15 So 5 days of holiday for every day in quarantine ???? visa 90 days + extension 30 days: (120-15):15 So 7 days of holiday for every day in quarantine Quote
