I've been to a few private islands in my day. I have a relative who has a second house on one. On the surface, all looks like a dreamy and idyllic postcard. But each time I departed the experience, I left scratching my head. For the money, I thought it would be better spent and more exhilarating had it been spent on travel. I'm all for hiring sexy, handsome escorts to work for me, especially guys with special talents and interests. Done that many times. But island life? I don't think so. And I hail from a family of boaters. Before I moved to L.A. in my early years, I thought for sure I would love daily sunshine and year-round warm weather. Ended up hating it. After four months, I couldn't wait to get back east and enjoy a cold, cloudy day. To each his own. Quote
