What ever happened with the lawsuit between Monty and the Marina? Is the pool opened yet? Would be nice to see the pool area reopened as it gave some a way to spend the afternoon hours.

I have no idea what happened, but as far as I know the pool has not reopened.

From what I have been Informed is, Mr Monty is being sued for 1.5 Million baht for damages to the pool area, with Videos taken before by the Hotel owners...who took it the day he took it over, also on the day Monty was evicted, for also non payment of rent and damages.

 

I understand there was a hold up owing to getting the wrong name for Monty, owing to his Dual Nationality, I'm also Informed Monty is counter suing on what grounds, I don’t know....... So it should be fun, when we hear the end of this sorry saga. The next stage is for the judge to come to visit the pool or the court officials.

 

Well I would of thought you know all this luvthai, you are one of Mr Monty's Close compatriots.

 

Hopefully it will be open soon as the case is over, as I hear from the owner, there, has two Germans Interested in opening it, if they can wait long enough. Hope they have better luck then the ‘Crazy Pub’ next door to Krazy Dragon…. but to be fair the German Drag Cabaret Star, who took over the Crazy Pub and spent 500,000 baht refurbishing it, after parting with 1.5 million to use the name and take over the bar, has had a drama with his Mother dying, so is not much in the mood to be happy….I understand hopefully it will be more successful in the high season, it needs a mine host to get it jogging along better.

I m sure Monty does not remember me as I am not a regular to his business. Other than going to his show once and staying a week at his guest house a couple years ago I have no contact with monty. I admire his ability to open a business and then move on if it doesn't prove profitable and not just throw in the towel and go home. As far as the pool area goes I enjoyed going there once in awhile. But since the pool area was never properly secured after Monty left I don't see how a judge can go there now and see what state it is in. Every night to can see kids crawling over the fence to party or sleep in the area.

Yes luvthai, that was my very question to the owner of the pool, he tells me 10 days before he had to evict Monty for none payment of rents and damage, from the Pool area and padlock the gates, he took some very concise videos of the whole pool area, warts and all, so who knows what will happen, I'm sure 'Metal Monty' will sort out something, he is an amazing guy.
