High tippers: Are you just generous, or going after muscle boys, or other boys you perceive as top notch talent ?

I can't remember the last time i offed anyone in Bangkok.

I usually start my trips there and off someone on the very first night.  

However, it's usually short time as I'm jet lagged.

Same for me. Bangkok is currently too expensive for me ,In my past trips went straight to Pattaya.

I always have started in Bangkok, but due to the higher expense of the bars, the stay there will only be 3~4 nights, with perhaps 2 offs from the bars and the remainder from the phone apps (depending on who is on offer)

 

However, I do figure that I have spent 11 months working and splashing out a bit extra in Bangkok for 2 nights really isn't going to break me.  So I budget for it. 

 

The same trips have had over 2 weeks in Pattaya, with an excursion somewhere else in SE Asia squeezed in.

I wouldn't like to spend that length of time paying Bangkok bar prices.

Same with Me, I love visiting Bangkok but going to Go Go bars there is just too expensive for Me.

 

I usually just head straight to Pattaya.

I'm just too poor.

My votes is data from a few years ago. My last short time was in 2015 (?) and I paid 1500, my last long time in 2013 and I paid 2000. The rare occasions I go to bars in Surawong, with friends who come to Thailand for holiday, I see boys I would instantly off if it was in Pattaya, but as I'm neither willing to by the boy a drink for 400, nor pay an off fee of 500 (?), nor negotiate tip expectations from 2000 down to 1500, I consider these visits window shopping.

 

But that doesn't meant I will never take a boy from Surawong bars again. Some day I might feel generous and try. Next time I go I should ask mamasan about tip expectation, and see their reaction when I counter with 1500 or even 1000 I would be willing to pay.

 

(The above refers to bars around Surawong road, after several businesses moved away from Soi Twilight. Bars in Silom Soi 6 not included, prices there are considerably lower and I offed a boy in Super A last year for 1000 short time.)

ChristisnPFC since you are a long term living in Thailand I understand your practice but for short time travellers whom don't have the time for chasing boys in the internet and the apps it's very convenience to off boys from the bars .
