Pattaya Beach - USA Beach

I often wonder why I don’t feel as if I am at the shore when I am in Pattaya.  When I am at the shore in Atlantic City, Wildwood and Rehoboth Beach, you know you are at the shore and the shopkeepers try to cater to the tourists.  Everyday seems to be the start of the party with the weekends pushing the fun over the top with the large crowds that seem to come from nowhere.

 

I think I would enjoy the shore more here in the USA if the beach was run a lot like Thailand.  

I would love to find umbrellas and chairs rented where the staff also served food and drinks at competitive prices.

 

In Pattaya, it would be nice to have a place along the beach, not far from the crowds where friends could drink, play games (Electronic or otherwise).eat and hottie watch.  When the sun goes down that same spot could turn on the disco light, Serve drinks, have the staff perform a well practice dance and do the things that remind people they are on vacation.

 

In the USA.  I would love to see Massage people offering massages on the beach like it is done in Thailand.  I would also love to have a vendor selling fresh cooked shell fish next to you as you lounge on the beach.  My friends and family always ask me if I had shrimp cooked and served for me at the beach.  I only had it one once and after all the flies I decided to never do it again!

 

I would love to see more entertainment attractions along the beach.  I think in every beach boardwalk in the USA there is some little amusement park area that has a haunted house and bumper cars.  I would love to have that in Thailand.  Something I can do with friends there that does not have to do with sex, eating, drinking or shopping.  Maybe even put-put golf.

 

In the USA, I want a Thai Style Walking Street.  A wild street where anything goes or just gives the impression that anything could go.  I also want Thai style Baht buses and Motorbike Taxi’s.

I would love to see some change in Pattaya…  But I don’t want to change Pattaya.  I would hate to go there and feel like I am home in the USA.  Yes I would love to see more general entertainment to draw fun crowds to the beach, but I would hate it if the feel of Pattaya resembled that of western culture.  I want Pattaya to be Pattaya but just more beachie….

If Pattaya Walking street just totally disappeared, it would be a substantial improvement.

 

I'm content with the terrific service on the existing gay Jomtien beach & the nightlife in Boyztown/Sunee.  Add in a morning coffee at Gafae & it is a perfect day's holiday.

Went to one of the islands...maybe ko samet???...and they had a night/dance club right on the beach.  Was a great deal of fun and often wondered why there wasn't the same type of setup in Pattaya somewhere. 

 

Maybe due to land laws or something.

 

Of course, I often wondered why some of the beach vendors don't operate more like a beer bar...with staff available for offs and such.  Would seem to be a natural, but again, maybe would run afoul of local laws or something.

without walking street where would all the straight people go to be entertained?  I guess they would come to boyztown to walk past, take pictures and watch a show or two to be able to go home and exaggerate what they saw!

I think that would be great.  I'm surprised that no-one setup a tiki type of bar on the beach to serve the guys that want to be social but not rent a chair.  They can just belly up to the bar and be served by the speedo wearing bartender and strike up a chat with others and then go back to his rented seat or so....

 

Maybe he could help setup beach massages with hard to get massage guys.

Perhaps the spending power dictates the happenings.

Compared to the beaches here in Singapore, Dongtan lacks privacy and proper shower facilities. 

 

I've been Dongtan beach many times and yes, over the years, my interest in this place has declined.

I used to get there mainly to tan in my minimal swim-wear but I prefer to do nude tanning at Sansuk Sauna now.

You have a point, I often forget about the beach aspect of pattaya. Sure I'm reminded of it when I'm looking right at it but it seems under appreciated and not fully taken advantage of.

 

One thing for sure, the place has a lot of untapped potential.

The vendors aint improving either.

None has upgrade their skills at all.

 

Imagine a drink kiosk selling cocktails and mocktails and non-alcoholic concoctions. 

I would like to have "sex on the beach" (pun intended but disallowed) .

I reckon that most of us should be able to hold a glass or two and drowning by drinking is mission impossible!

 

To be on the safe side with water and ice, one drink that may go well is Cold Ice Lemon Tea..heaps of ice and make in front of farangs/customers by Thai guys. I think the ice is made in the factories so it must be safer/perhaps approved by authorities.  Here in Singapore, no hawkers made their own ice anymore.

forget about it , over-regulation and lawsuits would kill that idea  before gestation.

 

Western countries became so sanitized and regulated that fun factor  is  gone or hidden and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that sales tax is being charged by some brothels.
