That was no pun, so I have to ask: "What's so funny?". What I wanted to say: I will not get the boy into my room (into bed, my hands into his pants, ...) (=happy end), I will simply forget him with time (=peter out).
-
I went there twice, trip reports pending. You can get there by ferry from pier at the wat next to Klong Toei port. On the Bang Krachao side, you can rent bicycles for 100 Baht per day (or 50 Baht per hour). Well worth visiting! It was a peninsula, but on the smallest part they dug a canal, so now it's an insula with one bridge to the mainland. It belongs to Samut Prakarn Province.

Update from my last visit in Soi Twilight (Monday 03.06.2013), with a Thai friend (who worked in Sunee as a waiter for years, but now changed profession to chef in Bangkok, because Sunee became boring!). We had a drink in Scorpion bar from 00:00 to 1:30. Vietnamese boy still working there, with new haircut less attractive (anyway, if there are any difficulties, I quickly lose interest, it's a miracle that this infatuation lasted that long). There will be no happy end, it will just peter out. I saw him massaging and touching and chatting with another customer (should have asked the customer in which language they talked!), later I saw him washing glasses in the sink. When we left, I asked the bartender if all boys are Thai. He confirmed (either a lie or bad memory). I then asked if all boys can go with customer. "Most boys can off, some cannot off, this one cannot" (pointing to the Vietnamese boy who was standing next to us). But there is blonde boy in Scorpion who appears more and more attractive to me. Regarding the underage. That has never been a problem in my limited experience. I had mamasans pointing out to me "Do you want him? He 17!". I have been googling in vain for a picture of a sale of paintings to illustrate my point. There is a corridor with paintings, people stay in front of the and look and discuss, and one painting has a big red ribbon with white script "SOLD". All other paintings are still for sale, this one has been sold and the buyer just didn't take is with him immediately. You see this picture, find it nice, but you are too late. Now without this ribbon, you stand in front, find the price ok, marvel at how it will look in your room, aks to buy and someone tells you "sorry, sold already". During the hours when sale of alcohol is prohibited in Thailand, staff at 7-11 lock the places where alcohol is kept, and there is a note. You don't have to put it in your shopping basket and go to the till to be told "sorry, cannot".

Can you give us some numbers, please? As far as I know, 1500 is the expected short time tip.
-
The Thai script on the T-Shirt says "May I get the Thai price, please?" I don't like tipping, if in doubt, I don't tip. When I tip (rarely), only because I think it's expected. Tipping is like right- and left-hand traffic: it doesn't add any value, it just makes things more complicated and opens the door to confusion, bewilderment, under- and overtipping and cheap charlies. (I wrote extensively about tipping on SGT a while ago, but don't remember where exactly so I can't copy or link to there.)

Just followed the link to Zanottis, and read this: Does this mean they allow smoking? (If yes: Disgusting!)

Whoever tries to get F1 to Thailand, I wish them failure! (A very rare sentiment of mine, but here it is appropriate.)
-
I had this in another bar. But now that you mention it, there was a mamasan in Classic who asked me how much I would tip the boy. I couldn't think of a polite way to say "Fuck you, that's not your business", so I said "1500 Baht" instead. But I have to look for a reply should this happen again.

I like pizza, and I have been to "Mama Dolores" on Soi Yen Akat (Sathorn, about 1 km from Malaysia Hotel) several times. It's a pizzeria (i.e. all they have on the menue is pizza) and it's completely open, no walls, just a roof, so you can see how they prepare your pizza.

I have no plans what to do with my body after death (apart from registering for organ donation when I studied in England three years ago). I prefer burial to cremation, place of burial (i.e. country) is not important to me. I want my body to be buried in a forest, in a bag, no coffin and and gravestone.

Weekend in Chanthaburi province Last year, I met two boys from Chanthaburi on Camfrog, we then proceeded to chat on facebook. One of them had plenty of excuses every time I wanted to go to Chanthaburi (“we cannot meet because I might get a lot of home work and I might be very busy the weekend”) which is an indication that he isn’t really interested. But the other one really wanted to meet me. I have never been to Chanthaburi, but last year BaoBao posted about Wat Kao Sukim (วัดเขาสุกิม) and Nam Tok Pliu National Park (น้ำตกพลิ้ว) which I kept in mind: http://khunbaobao.blogspot.com/2012/09/trip-report-pt-24-wat-khao-sukim.html http://khunbaobao.blogspot.com/2012/09/trip-report-pt-24a-wat-khao-sukim-2.html http://khunbaobao.blogspot.com/2012/04/nam-tok-phliu-national-park-getting.html My friend lives near the bus station in central Chanthaburi and said I could stay with him, which is a good start! Friday 07.06.2013 Bangkok to Chanthaburi I finish work early and take bus and BTS to Ekkamai bus station (arrive about 17:03). I go to the first counter with “Chanthaburi” and am in the process of purchasing a ticket, but then the lady mentions “small bus” and in addition, I ask about time of departure (18:00), so I back-pedal and take a look at the buses first. I do not want to wait an hour and then spend 4 or 5 hours crammed in a minibus. There is a big bus, I ask for time of departure (17:30) and name of operator (Chedchai เชิดชัย) and get a ticket at their booth (205 Baht). Now I finally understand the system used at Ekkamai bus station: several operators have their own booths, even if they have buses to the same destination. I used to go to the first booth that caught my eye, now I know that the person who sells tickets there will not tell you that there is a more comfortable (big bus versus minibus/van, my opinion) bus that leaves earlier (17:30 compared to 18:00) from a different operator. They all seem to have the same price. The bus leaves 17:30 in Ekkamai, a bottle of water and a custard cake are distributed for free to all passengers. We arrive in Chanthaburi bus station at 22:09. I call my friend, he comes to pick me up on his motorbike. Judging on his pictures on facebook, I was not sure if he is my type. Now in real life, I think he is rather not my type. We have dinner on the way back to his place (not that close to the bus station). His room is minuscule (about 10 sqm), but he pays 3000 Baht per month rent and even a joiner fee (He asked me for 200 Baht for staying with him over night). A very basic bathroom (no wash basin) is shared with others. The mattress in his room is small, but we manage to fit on it. I try to sleep, but my friend initiates hanky-panky, followed by rumpy-pumpy. I manage to fall asleep on that small, hard mattress after some adjustments (change the direction of the fan that I am not in the air flow). Saturday 08.06.2013 Wat Kao Sukim, fruit garden, Nam Tok Pliu waterfall About 7am, my friend wakes me up. His teacher is coming and I have to get out of his room and check into a hotel. He takes me there on his motorbike. The hotel’s name is Kiatkachorn Hotel (โรงแรมเกียรติขจร) on Ta Luang road, close to Bangkok Hospital. The cheapest rooms are all booked out, I get a room with aircon and hot water for 350 Baht per night. Excellent value for money! Large and clean room and bathroom in central location. The only disadvantages are a hard mattress and a window above the door to the floor, so there is light from the floor all night (I cannot sleep well with light). Pictures of my room (contrary to other’s hotel reports, my stuff is in the picture): Bathroom has the sink built in kind of tiled table. So I have enough horizontal space in table high to put my stuff on (contrary to Thai friends’ bathrooms, the sink has only bend surfaces so you can’t put anything there, the tray below the mirror is usually full, as is the cover of the toilet water reservoir, I have to put my stuff on the floor, where it gets wet and I have to bend down). I sleep some more hours and get up around 10am. I call my friend to join me for a daytrip to Wat Kao Sukim. On the internet, I found information about a minibus that drives past the Wat. http://www.kookgiggstour.com/wat-khao-sukim.html I ask my friend to take me to the market (Nam Pu) to inquire about minibuses, but there are no buses in that direction (he asked a driver, I asked a passenger). My friend takes me to another place where he had organized a driver (that was his original suggestion, but I had to check if there are public buses) for 450 Baht. My friend will be busy studying all the day, so I have to go alone. I thought he would be free for the weekend and join me, but I am prepared for sudden changes in plan and as he is not so much my type, I don’t mind travelling alone. Now that I can make myself understood in Thai, it even has some advantages. It takes 30 minutes (10:45 to 11:15) to drive to the wat. I stay there until 13:05 and have lunch at the market around the car park while my driver is waiting at the car park. Entrance area Main stairway to the wat (314 steps, you can take the train instead) View from a nearby pavilion onto the existent wat (right top, covered by trees) and the construction site of the new building (left top) This is what it will look like when complete (from the wat’s website): http://www.watkhaosukim.com/sara/images/p1.jpg[/img] (according to a poster I got there: Burapha Thitha Wiriya Pracha Samakkee pagoda 99 meters wide, 99 meters long, 119 meters high) There were no opportunities for me to get a picture of the wat area I visited. That’s the problem with travelling by car: we should have stopped 100 m back so I can take a picture, but now it’s too late. But they have several halls that are filled with handcrafts and other stuff: After the wat, we drive to Suan Sadetyat (สวนสะเด็ดยาด) a fruit plantation that is open to visitors from April to June. It is five minutes drive (13:35-13:40) from the wat, entry is 100 Baht all you can eat (and in my case: all you can carry, as I filled a bag with some mangosteen and rambutan and asked if it’s ok to take them with me). I learned about the plantation here: http://www.laemsing.com/14_wat_khao_sukim_laemsing.html The rambutan are spectacular, the branches bend under the weight of the fruit. This confirms a long-hold suspicion: these fruit simply grow on trees, just like apples back in Europe! Mangosteen is less spectacular (tree in front, no fruit visible on the picture). Tip: pick the fruit from the ground, they fell down because they are ripe. We leave 14:20. Too early to go to back to Chanthaburi, so I ask my driver if there is anything of touristic interest along the way back. We end with Nam Tok Pliu, which is not on the way, but I read about it before. We arrive there 15:15. My driver waits at the car park. Entry is 200 Baht for adult foreigner. There is a Nature Trail, which leads you around the and above the waterfall. After a few minutes, I am alone on the Nature Trail (which is the longer way and requires good condition). There were many shirtless boys, some of them even my type. If I had thought of the waterfall, I would have brought swimwear and a towel (which leaves the question: where to store my valuables?) and joined in. There are many fish, you can feed them beans. The waterfall is on top of my list of places to visit if I go again. Back to my hotel (17:15-17:45). The deal was just Wat Kao Sukim, which I then extended to the fruit plantation and the waterfall. So I ask the driver how much it is for all together: 900 Baht. That’s a price I am happy to pay. I even consider to do this again (hire a driver, in this case for 7 hours and about 100 km drive) elsewhere when no public transport is available. I have a shower and change clothes and call my friend to join me for dinner at the Fruit Fun Festival with night market. He is still busy, but will call me when he is at the festival/market. After two hours, I mentally switch from (“I am here waiting for a friend” to “I am here alone and we can go to my hotel room if you want” for the case I should meet a cute boy who is interested in me – I didn’t, but at least I had a plan). My friend calls about 11pm, I am preparing to go home, so no meeting tonight. On my way back, I discover a bus station diagonally opposite my hotel. (http://pornnipatour.com/ in Thai: พรนิภาทัวร) They have buses to Ekkamai and Mor Chit, this will save me 10 minutes’ walk to the main bus station. Sunday 09.06.2013 Chanthaburi town, back to Bangkok I get up and check out (instead of paying 50 Baht per hour for late check out after 12 pm) and leave my luggage at the reception. For economic use of time, I spend most of the day walking through Chanthaburi (without paying for another night). Fruit play an important part in the province, they have statues and fountains dedicated to them: King Taksin monument in the center of a peninsular in a lake in the center of Chanthaburi. Finally I reach the cathedral (the largest in Thailand, the spires were removed during WWII and were replaced in 2009 http://www.thai-blogs.com/2009/07/12/cathedral-in-chanthaburi/): Return by bus uneventful, leave Chanthaburi 16:33, arrive in Mor Chit 21:18. Cost for the entire trip (from my room back to my room): 2694 Baht. The weather was good, I didn’t get into rain, there were clouds on the sky, nonetheless I got a very weak sunburn (can’t feel it, but skin looks a bit reddish on arms and if I press my skin, I get a light spot). My friend is another addition to my long list of Thai who are just not my type. Apart from that, no complaints: fluent in written and spoken English, good manners, efficient communication (apart from not being free on the weekend), on time, in the course of getting an education.

Why is everyone thinking about ashes? I am decades away from death (at least I hope so), but if I die, I want to be buried in a forest. No grave, no flowers, no raking of the sand around my grave.
-
No joke. The sentence before was "motorsport", so I mean (motor)boat race. My concern is about noise and pollution (oil, exhaust fumes), so if you can contruct a motor that makes no noise and needs no oil or fuel, go on, you have my support! Sailing, on the other hand, is a laudable activity.

What kind of drink did you have in X-Boys and Classic? I am pretty sure the drinks were 300 when I was there not long ago. I had orange juice, as far as I remember.
-
(I have read only part of the thread, but still want to add my opionion.) I think all motorsport is utter nonsense and would immediately abolish it if I had the power. That includes F1, motorcycle race, boat race. Pollution and noise! Around the Grand Palace? Then I won't be able to go there to look for street hookers any more!

Smugglers drive Thailand's grim trade in dog meat
ChristianPFC replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I think I could eat everything that looks and smells acceptable (including dogs, cats, snakes), as long as it is raised and killed by animal right standards and if someone else eats it. -
How to squeeze lemon and peel shrimp without getting your fingers dirty? When I get a dish served with a slice of lemon, I squeeze the lemon with my left thumb and index finger, pressing it against the fork (hold in my right hand). So I get the juice on my dish, but my fingers become dirty. How can I squeeze the lemon without getting my fingers dirty? (Well, I could try to clean them with some of these flimsy tissues – that’s a different subject. I first lick them clean and then wipe them dry on my handkerchief.) In Europe, we have devices like this to solve the problem: but the slices of lemon are cut in a different way in Thailand. Why are shrimp usually in their shell? Mostly it’s just the tail and the last segment, but sometimes the whole shell, often cut open at the back to allow easier peeling. I manage to peel shrimp with fork and spoon without getting my fingers dirty, but I wonder why they don’t remove the whole shell.

X-Boys Friday 31.05.2013 (The common thread is the Black Woman.) Black Woman calls ChristianPFC in the afternoon, so we make an appointment at 9pm in Soi Twilight. Black Woman is in fact a man. Under better light, I could her facial hair is clean shaven, I saw the razor in the bathroom and more important, saw her naked twice before and after shower, which left no doubt. That’s no pussy that’s hanging between her legs (although my knowledge of pussy comes only from pictures). However I shall refer to him as her or she, as she considers herself as a woman, dresses like a woman, uses women’s public bathrooms and is looking for hook-up with straight men. She says the gay dating scene in Thailand is strange to her, as she is used to being invited for drinks by straight men. She says other tourists approached on Sukhumvit Soi 4 asking “How much?”. Black lady wants to have dinner with ChristianPFC, but ChristianPFC usually has dinner right after work, when he is hungry, so this time, so we skip dinner and go to X-Boys. Simple lack of communication and assumption, ChristianPFC enjoys dinner with friends, but you have to talk about place and time before you meet. At 21:05, we are the first customers. There was light rain outside when we entered. Drink 300 Baht. Tattoo count: No tattoos: 47, 31, 7, 555, 28, 60, 45, 009, 22, 52 Few tattoos: 44, 55, 33, 10, 2, 51, 37, 888, 14, 21, 38, 53, 666, 002 Many tattoos: 24, 444, 56, 6, 27 Aircon and light ok, music a bit too loud, smoking allowed. There is one cute boy, number 33, whom she calls over to sit with me (again miscommunication, I call over a boy when I think so). Mamasan presses me for drink for the boy, no way. I tell her the music is too loud and ask her to lower the music, she does not move. After a few minutes she hints the boy has to go back on stage, so I tip him 100 Baht. His English is ok, but the hand-on-skin test was negative: When I put my hand on someone’s skin (in gogo bars usually the boy’s knee or shoulder), I can feel if skin temperature und dryness is to my liking, and sometimes I even get a slight reaction in my trousers if everything is fine. Not in this case. Black woman leaves to have dinner at Maxis’. I stay in X-Boys until the show starts at 22:15. I walk through the soi (cute Vietnamese boy is still in Scorpion Bar, this day white shirt, before always dressed in black). Then I join Black Woman in Maxis’. My Thai friend W is there as well (the one whom I housed and fed for two days during Songkran when he had no place to stay and no money for food) and invites me for a drink, now that his situation is better. This is a first! By coincidence, there was just one empty chair between Black Woman and my Thai friend W. We leave Maxis’ and Black Woman tells me she wants a massage at a place not far away (Proud 66 as it turned out). Why didn’t she tell me earlier, so I can plan accordingly? We walk there together, with a short stop in Heart Beat Club (just looking, no drink). She gets her massage and I chat with the other boys outside, and one of them is my type. Unremarkable at first, but when I watch him move and interact with the other, he sticks out in a positive way. I buy them two bottles of Leo (one boy asked me for it). I make a stroll to Soi 6 bars, nothing new. I return and hint to the cute boy that I would like him to come with us (Black Woman and I) to her hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 4. For dancing and drinking it would be possible for him to come with us, but to hotel room cannot. I get more direct and offer 1000 Baht for short time. He does not accept this offer. Sukhumvit Soi 4 is so far away! Are they kidding me? Another boy in the group mentions 3000 Baht. I don’t know why it’s 3000 Baht, I heard this number several times. From the non-available boy in Saranrom, from a Taxi driver with whom I talked about Saranrom and who said that his son went there and got 3000 Baht (maybe I misunderstood that, but it was about 3000 Baht). The boy from Dreamboys whom I met in G.O.D. I wonder where they get this number from. Black Woman chats with two other boys, both of them are very reticent about going to hotel, clearly not for 1000 or 1500 Baht, they would consider it from 2000 Baht onwards. We have a walk to Soi Patpong and return to Proud 66. Around 1:30 am, they are still there, shop is now closed. I offer 1500 to the cute boy. No way! He says he goes home to sleep. One of the other boys suggest we come back tomorrow, and he can massage her or me for 2000 Baht tip. This is the tipping point, where I realize that everyone here (including me for increasing my offer from 1000 to 1500, never did this before) has lost his/her/their mind. The boys about tip expectations and Black Woman and I for negotiating about tips. Side note: The cute boy had fingernails on his pinkies about 1 cm long. All other fingers were cut short. I wonder how he can give a massage with these fingernails. There must be something wrong if these boys reject a short time for 1000 or 1500 Baht because they want to go home to sleep, but can commute to and from work by taxi (the cute boy lives in Thonburi and commutes by taxi - that’s what he told me, I saw him leaving on a motorbike). I prefer it like it is in Sunee or Saranrom: “Can I go with you?” “No, take me!” “No, take me, please!”. Now these are massage boys and no prostitutes, but I am sure they know what’s going on in nearby places and know what to do to increase their tip for the massage. The only problem is I don’t want his hands on my body, I want my hands on his body, and if I pay, I want to dictate place and time. We go to Soi Twilight and there, after most gogo bars have closed, are a few boys around and one of them is my type. I think it’s the same I saw on Monday at the food court. He is from Cambodia and is happy to come with us for 1500. Black Woman hooks up with another boy from the group and all four of us get a taxi to her hotel. Each of us has sex with his boy. Sex is so-so. It’s a bit too dark, the music is a bit too loud, and I have cold feet (when aircon is on, I always have to wrap my feet in the duvet during sex so they stay warm). I pay my boy 1500. Black Women quickly realizes that her boy can’t fuck her because he can’t get it up and it’s too small by her standards, so she switches over to get a massage from him. This does not work well, too. She dismisses him with 500 Baht. Black Woman’s voice and actions show that she is used to give commands and does not accept contradiction, the boy accepts without saying a word. I wonder what the boys talk about us. The two boys leave at 3:25. Black Woman wants to go out again, dressing up takes about half an hour. She asks a taxi driver to take us to a disco. It’s “Spicy” where we stay 4:05 to 5:10 (300 Baht entry including one drink, she pays for both of us). After disco, we have whatever you call a meal between 5 and 6 in the morning, before going to bed at 6:20 in the morning. We sit down and each of us gets a menu, Black Women immediately starts chatting with people on the next table (two youngish Farang and two Thai girls) for about 15 minutes while I fend off the waiters saying that my friend hasn’t chosen yet. Then they leave, and Black Women suddenly gets back to ordering food, clicking her fingers and waving her arms at the staff: “Hello, is there anyone who can take my order? I want to order food now!” I don’t remember when I last time went to bed that late or saw a sunrise, but I don’t want to repeat this experience. This completely screws up my wake-sleep rhythm. In front of the restaurant, she asks a standing taxi for the fare to Sukhumvit 4. He quotes 100 Baht. She then turns to a random passer-by (youngish Farang, probably previous customer at Spicy): “Why do they always overcharge foreigners?” (stupid question, with a bit of experience you know that standing taxis in certain locations refuse to use the meter and overcharge). I don’t understand his answer, but her reaction is funny: “Honey, I’m not flirting with you. Calm down, nobody is trying to pick your scrawny little white ass up. I just asked you a simple question!” Hilarious! We are back in her hotel at 6:20am and go to bed. We wake up in the late afternoon and Black Woman starts touching my dick, gets it half hard and continues with sucking. Good technique, but I have no imagination, I can’t get my mind around that there is actually a big black guy and not a Thai twink on my dick. But if I could get my hands and eyes on a Thai twink, that would make all of us happy. Maybe next time. She gets me hard enough to pull a condom over and insert my dick into her ass. But then I lose my erection, so she just has a wank. Both of us get up (17:45) and shower (separately). She takes pictures of me while I walk in her room in underwear or towel. (She takes pictures of everyone everywhere when she feels like it, without asking and even after protests from doormen at X-Boys.) She needs half an hour to get ready, we leave her room 18:30. Black Woman asks me what I just wrote down (on my expenses sheet, which I use for general notes as well). “I just wrote that we got up at 17:45 and left at 18:30, which implies that you need half an hour to get ready, whereas I need just 5 minutes.” “Did you take any more notes about me?” I scroll through notes from previous days “No, nothing special” “So that’s all, that I need 30 minutes to get ready for going out?” “Yes” I didn’t tell her that I share our adventures and her character flaws on the internet to a growing worldwide readership of gay men. That’s my revenge for her taking pictures of me semi-nude (or even nude?) in her hotel room without asking me. We have dinner in a Pizzeria not far away from her hotel on Soi 4. All meals we had together, she can’t just order something from the menu like normal people do, there is always some fuss. In this case, she doesn’t even look at the menu, just asks the owner (?) “Do you have pasta? Is it good?”, in other cases she wanted more of this and less of that and so on. Or she tells me “Try this! Don’t you think this food is too salty/sour/spicy/bland?” While we are eating, she is watching the people who walk past, commenting on who is handsome and who not, and even knocking on the window from inside to get the attraction of someone who is walking past and whom she considers handsome. When we pay, Black Woman asks me for 60 Baht because she has no small change. (Oh no, we had this before, she still owes me 40 Baht I lend her to purchase fake eyelids, but I got back 100 Baht for taxi.) I tell her: “Listen, you pay with your 1000 Baht note and give you the 360 Baht my meal cost. That way, you will have small change. I always have small change, because I know I will need it, I am speaking of experience, I got into unpleasant situations because I had no small change!” “But you didn’t have small change when I paid your entry at Spicy!” “That was an invitation, I would never have gone to that place and especially not at that time!” “But I would never have gone to that Twinky bar and thought you invited me. Actually, that’s what I’m used to from America”. Communication, communication! After almost 24 hours with her, I am exhausted. I feel like being entourage or an escort (without pay). This difference in character is interesting for a while, but then it becomes strenuous. She can chat up everyone and has music in her blood. In gogo bars, she starts singing and dancing on her seat. ChristianPFC on the contrary has a policy: no singing, no dancing. Maybe I can learn from her: if the situation had been the other way round (i.e. if I had had a sexual interest in her, but am not her type), I would have been sitting in the bar waiting for the right moment to approach her and looking for the right words to say until she had left the bar. She on the other hand, got to kissing within five minutes and got me into her bed within five days. That women know what she wants and how to get it, and she doesn’t take “no” as an answer! While we stay on the sidewalk and say goodbye (kisses on both cheeks and mouth and hand-holding), a Thai friend whom I have known for over two years and met several times (in Pattaya, Bangkok, and his home town) walks past on the opposite site with his Farang boyfriend. We wave at each other. Black Woman goes back to her hotel, ChristianPFC joins his Thai friend and his (ChristianPFC’s Thai friend’s – “his” is ambiguous in this context) boyfriend for a drink in a restaurant not far away. You have to be careful, I wouldn’t wave my arm at a Thai friend who is with someone else, I wouldn’t even acknowledge him in a way that others notice, but my Thai friend initiated it and invited me to join them, so it must be ok with his boyfriend to meet other Farang friends. Finally some normal people! ChristianPFC takes BTS and bus back to his place to get some well-deserved rest. He calls a friend (Lamlukka hairdresser from Singapore former ICK) to ask if he is free on Sunday. That will be a separate topic. Next week (i.e. this week), I will take some rest as well with hopefully uneventful meetings with old friends and new acquaintances from gayromeo. I have to get away from areas of prostitution and meet some normal people.

I am pretty sure I once went to Tawan, must have been three years ago. It is very low in my list of gogo bars to go, and after this report, and seeing their adverts in gay publications, it stays at the bottom of my list. I once had a pushy boy in Wild West Boys, took me a year to overcome that experience and be prepared to enter WWB again (however every time I had a look there was either show in progress or too few boys on stage). Recently, I had a pushy boy in Eros. He finally got the message that I am not interested and said: "I see you don't like me" which is not true, I just have no interest in conversation with him, but I didn't explain. It can't be that hard to figure out if someone is interested or not, I would say one minute is sufficient.

Fresh Boys 28.05.2013 (The common thread is the black woman, so I post it here.) She calls me in the afternoon, we agree to meet at night (20:30 in Soi Twilight). I am in Soi Twilight at about 20:45 and call her. She will be there at 9pm. I walk around inside and outside the Soi, waiting for her. 21:20 I call her again, but she doesn’t pick up. So I go to Fresh Boys and wait there for her. I barely ordered my drink, when she calls and later joins me in Fresh Boys. Fresh boys has new underwear for their boys. Last year, they had hideous underwear that deterred me from entering. That was changed to acceptable underwear, and since a few weeks ago they have underwear that is ok by my standards. Tattoo count: No tattoos: 4, 6, 16, 26, 28, 29, 10, 33, 30, 31, 8, one boy who was offed before I could see his number Few tattoos: 34, 9, 24, 18 Many tattoos: 1, 17, 21, 2, 32 There are three boys that I might take for free: 18, 17, 30. I think number 30 is the Vietnamese boy I had last year who asked for 2000 Bath for short time and whom I had to shove out of my room with 1600 after hard negotiations. The music is too loud, aircon and light are ok during the rotation of boys. During the show, the lighting is horrible, mostly too dark, but then there are flashes that blind you. During show, most boys disappear into a back room. At least there are no ladyboys in the show. Show was from 22:18 to 22:48. Sprite is 280 Baht. On average there were five customers in the bar, when we were there (21:25 to 22:55) there were a total of 15 customers I guess. We kiss again, this time staff express jealousy and disgust. There is one boy whom I had two years ago (via gayromeo, but who is not so much my type, won’t take him again) who is jealous. She puts her legs on top of mine, but later I have to ask her to remove them, they are too heavy! We pay and leave (I give 20 Baht tip, she doesn’t tip, same as before in Screw Boys, so there are US-Americans who do not tip!). After a stroll through Soi Twilight, we end in Maxis’ for dinner. She has two full meals (same yesterday at the food court), I just have dessert. We ogle at X-Boys, and she takes many pictures of Soi Twilight and X-Boys (open door), despite protestations of several of their doormen. The Thai boy from yesterday walks past, she invites him for a drink and asks him why he didn’t come back yesterday. I am pretty sure she has facial hair on chin and neck that is clean shaven. We pay and leave at 00:55. On Surawong, she hooks up with a Thai boy (I think I saw him in Fresh Boys) and we say goodbye and they leave on a tuk-tuk. I am tired, so I can’t join them in her hotel in Sukhumvit (she would like me to stay with her overnight, even if no sex is involved, a wish I will be able to fulfill on the weekend). Before going home, I stroll through the food court and Soi Twilight. I have the following chat with the Vietnamese Boy (translated from Thai): “Do you speak Thai language?” “No, I don’t.” “Do you speak English?” “I don’t know.” It seems the communication problems on our first encounter (non-offable boy tread) were due to loud music (I had to shout when talking with the owner). But he is not interested in conversation with me, or he has instructions not to talk to customers? I take taxi home from Rama 4. Today and tomorrow I need a rest, so we will probably meet again on Friday, hopefully for mutual benefit (this time her company was more of a burden).

That’s right, these pictures are from the top of Sathorn Unique. The idea of climbing Sathorn Unique has been in my mind for over two years, and last week I finally made it. It took several visits (I stopped counting, more than 5 and less than 10, alone or with a Thai friend) and total expenses of more than 500 Baht (travel and tips). Speaking to people in the main building, have a Thai friend call the numbers on the warning at the gate, first I did not get in at all, then I got into the main building, only to discover that on the the 2nd or 3rd floor, all stairways are blocked (lock and welding). This leaves me wondering how the advertising is attached to the building, they surely don’t open the welding every time? View from Wat Yannawa: My friend at the main gate (different visit, see date stamp in the picture), calling one of the numbers: View from Saphan Taksin BTS Station: In the main building, ChristianPFC on the escalator: As it will be shown later, this is the way in: Then on a walk around, I noticed the multi storey car park next to is has no locks, holes in the fence and there are makeshift bridges over to Sathorn Unique. That must be the way to go. When I was in the area, I always walked past hoping to get an inspiration. Last month, someone appeared in the in the park building. Full story: Sunday 21.04.2013 I am near Saphan Taksin bridge, so I have a look at Sathorn Unique. Main entrance locked, nobody inside. I check the unfinished multi-storey car park mscp (separated by a soi, with two makeshift bridges to Sathorn Unique) as well, there is a man inside and beckons me to come in (through one of the many holes in the fence). All further communication takes place in Thai. He offers to take me upstairs the mscp for 100 Baht or Sathorn Unique for 200 Baht. Exactly what I am looking for! He needs a key from someone else and he has no phone, so we call the person with the key from my phone. My battery is low, the call is interrupted and he asks for 8 Baht to call from a public phone while I wait. There is a problem, the key is not available today (Sunday), but will be available Monday to Saturday. He lives in the mscp. I ask to see his place, he takes me up to 4th (?) floor, there is a mattress with some personal belongings. He has no job and no place to stay apart from this. A floor up is another person who joins us on our trip to the top floor of the mscp. There is one bridge to Sathorn Unique, but there is no door with a lock, the access is blocked by a sheet of steel that is welded to the bridge. The other bridge is on the roof of the mscp and the roof is only accessible through a small opening in the ceiling of the top floor, you would need a ladder to access it. On our way back, he hints that he needs money, so I give him 50 Baht. Technically, he is an intruder in the same way I am, but knowing him might come in handy in a future trip. So I am left wondering: where is the lock? Who changes the advertising banners on Sathorn Unique and how do they go there? At least I have a phone number xxx and name xxx of the person with the key and know someone (name xxx, no phone number) who lives in the park house. Fast forward to present: On 18.05.2013, I picked up my passport at the German embassy, took a bus to Saphan Taksin bridge and shouted out B’s name outside the mscp. Nothing. Walk to the main building, ask a person there: no key. Walk back to the mscp: suddenly B appears. Today is the day! Now I finally learn, there is no key necessary, you just climb over the wall, walk over bridge and climb around the fence. Not for the timid, weak or those who are afraid of hights! We are in! I give B 100 Baht for this first part (you never know what comes next, the deal is 200 Baht for getting me on the top). Get to the next stairwell and up. Alas, after some floors, it’s blocked, with lock and welded together! But I don’t give up that quick. There is another stairwell, this time it’s only locked, but no welding. I try my room key, it fits into the lock, but cannot open. Then I start removing the chain, and to my great surprise, it was not locked! I can open the door! B refuses to go any further, if I understand correctly, he is afraid of ghosts. “Abandon all hope ye who enter” and an unlocked chain, this is supposed to deter ChristianPFC? You have to try harder! So I continue on my own. The stairs are unfinished, uneven and with some debris. It gets dark, I take out the flash light I carry with me all the time (now I finally need it!), otherwise I would have lost time to adapt my eyes from sunlight to the pretty dark stairwell. Up and up with an occasional walk in a floor, nothing special. Finally, the last floor, light comes in from above, I am on top! My joy lasts only for half a second as I am stung by two wasps or bees and can fend of two more. From a few meters apart, I can see that there is a small wasp or bee hive exactly over the exit. There are not many flying around, so this must be a vicious species, and fast as well, I didn’t see or hear them. One stung my naked arm, the other one my back through my shirt. Fortunately, I am not allergic and the poison isn’t strong, the pain goes away quick and I can walk around on top and take many pictures. There is plenty of plant live as well. My full album is here: http://s1084.photobucket.com/user/christianpfc/library/Sathorn%20Unique?sort=9&page=1 On my return, watch out for the bees or wasps, close shirt around neck and arms and make the passage quick, nonetheless one more sting. On the way down, check some more floors, I come across the abandoned office of the construction management. Souvenir time! Back to the bridge and across. Give B another 100 Baht (he wants 200 more because I spent 1 hour in the building instead of 30 minutes, but we didn’t talk about time, so I refuse). I would have loved to get in by telling the owner I wanted to buy Sathorn Unique and want to inspect it first, but I think this way is easier. As I was alone, I had nobody to take a “Victory” picture of me on top, and I didn’t see that you can climb on the circle and get a few meters higher than I was (it’s in the videos on youtube), so I will have to go again! Not recommended for imitation! If this warning does not deter you, you will need solid shoes (there is dirt, debris, wood with nails pointing up), a flashlight, good condition, and some protection against the wasps or bees. There are several videos on youtube, this one is the most useful (coincidentally, I downloaded it the day before I went and watched after I went): http://www.justonewayticket.com/2012/12/13/exploration-of-an-abandoned-skyscraper-in-bangkok-the-sathorn-unique-building/

Screw Boys Monday 27.05.2013 (Report about the new Screw Boys bar after renovation embedded in another extraordinary adventure of ChristianPFC in Thailand.) My plan for the night was to check out the sex-cinema near Saphan Kwai BTS station and meet a Thai friend in Silom for a chat and to give back the bag he lend me when I was moving. However, it turned out completely different. On my way from work to home, I walk past two Thai men who invited me for drink and chat many times before, but I always declined because I was on my way home. This time, a cute boy is sitting with them, so I join (and get name, age, phone number of the cute boy). The boy works in the area and lives nearby, I never saw him before. He has a tattoo (acceptable by my standards) that fills his entire back, I did not let the chance pass to look at it and even touched it when he lifted his shirt and showed it to us. So I spend 18:15 to 20:00 with them, eating mussels, drinking coke and beer (just a glass) and chatting. Then a Thai woman offers to take me home on a motorbike, I accept a drive to the market, but then insist on walking alone after shopping. She hinted that she would like to see my room, but you never know where that leads! Next time I have to get the cute boy to drive me home. General observation: In a group of Thai men, it’s usually the youngest I have a sexual interest in, and he is the one who is usually sent away to get food and drink. It’s too late for the sex cinema, so I skip this and take a taxi to Surawong. I arrive in Surawong at 22:09 and call my Thai friend, with whom I had an appointment at 10pm in Silom Soi 4. His replacement at work (hotel, 8pm) did not come, so he has to take over his shift and will work the entire night. No problem, we can meet another day. I have his empty bag which is light, but voluminous. That’s why I prefer to meet in Silom/Surawong, if something goes wrong, I can easily find other entertainment. Walk through Soi Twilight. The cute Vietnamese boy is still at Scorpion and smiling at me. All bars seem to be at showtime. So I walk to Screw Boys, their show time is 11pm and 1:30am. I enter Screw Boys about 22:30 (new spelling: Screw Boys, before it was Screwboys if I remember correctly). Orange juice 280 Baht. Tattoo count: No tattoos: 10, 4, 14, 5, 3, 12, 9 Few tattoos: 28, 20 Many tattoos: 26, 11, 29, 17 There are not may slim or twink types, the majority is well-fed. Many have stuff in their underwear, one looks like he tried to stuff his week’s food shopping into his underwear. Their number plates (with keys) say “New Screw Boys”. There are three cute boys: one waiter I met at Maxis’ a few months ago, boy number 11 and the DJ. The DJ smiles at me after a boy points out my interest in him. I can see a part of a tattoo on his chest which does not look promising (i.e. I think it would qualify for ‘hideous’ when I see it entirely). He wears a base cap (the only form of hat I find attractive, but it’s better to see the boys without a hat so there are no surprises when they take it off). Trying to off a DJ is just crying for trouble, so I don’t even ask. I saw him smoking cigarettes twice that night. Music, aircon and light are acceptable. Toilets are clean, there is one towel which is damp. From the main auditorium, you cannot see the sign for the toilets (I just observed others and concluded where the toilets are). Boys and customers smoke in the bar (however I could not smell it, so no annoyance). Food is permitted, a group of customers on one table ordered food from outside. The majority of customers are Asian. There is one black man and a black woman among the customers (total three women as customers in the bar). I think the seating is unfavorable, half of the seats, you have to turn your head 90 degree to see the stage. Altogether, there is nothing that entices me to come back soon. The show starts 23:16 and lasts until 00:08. There is some Sado-Maso (whipping with a rubber hose) and a fire show. One boy (external performer? Didn’t see him before) is a fire-eater and does other tricks with fire. The rest of the show is as in other bars. They have fuck show, the performer walk through the auditorium to ask for tips. Around midnight, the bar was full. During the show, most of the boys dress in street clothes. The black man (Australian) and I sit on the same bench, with a lot of space between us. The black woman (US-American) comes in later, sits somewhere else first and then moves to sit between us. She starts a conversation with me, which within a few sentences turns into flirting with me. For better understanding, she speaks directly into my ear, then starts nibbling it, making moaning sounds and tells me her sexual fantasies that involve me. She asks me to kiss her, which I do (I never kissed a woman, but I am open to new experiences, even fucking a woman would be interesting, however I think physically impossible as I can’t get it up). I end up with her tongue down my throat. Some of the other customers and boys (I have known one boy for a long time and I know the waiter who used to work at Maxis’) look amused or bewildered. All of us have finished our drink, the waiter asks if we want another one (two or three times), then asks us to pay, finally they even move the table so we can exit easier. When I am alone in a bar, I pay and leave quickly after finishing my drink (but one drink can last 2 hours!), however in company you don’t know who is waiting for whom, so we get into this embarrassing situation of overstaying our welcome. We leave around 1am. I recline offers to go to her hotel room (with the black man, who would be interested in watching us having sex), or at least to the bar at her hotel (in Sukhumvit Soi 4), but I am not averse to go to Soi Twilight. There we end up at Scorpion Bar. The cute Vietnamese boy is sitting with three women and has his arm around one of them. Unfortunately, I sit with my back to him. The black women shows us pictures she has taken at Senso Massage with her iPad (no photography allowed, but with an iPad nobody notices) and of a massage boy she had in Pattaya, who has the largest dick in Pattaya. I am not that interested in cock, so I can’t judge, and there was no scale. I miss the chance to arrange kind of a threesome between me, the black woman and the Vietnamese boy. Scorpion Bar closes at 2am, we are asked to pay our drinks and to leave. Each of us pays his drink (I was waiting to see if the black woman picks up the tab as it sounded like an invitation). They close the metal roller blind and switch off the light while we are still sitting at the table. The Vietnamese boy is included in the cleaning up (put chairs on the tables, take out the garbage). He is still smiling at me, but I miss this chance to talk to him (to find out if we can communicate in Thai, and where he will go next). On our walk to the food court at the Montien hotel, she meets a Thai boy she known, so he joins our group. She definitely knows how to chat up people, now she has us three as entourage. The Thai boy says he has to take his motorbike to a friend’s place before he can go with her, but he never comes back. So we three are left there for dinner. There, in better light, I think I can see clean shaved facial hair on her chin and neck, but I am not sure. That would add another twist to the story, and from face and voice I cannot determine gender with certainty (sounds familiar? Burmese woman who turned out to be a gay man?). Best to ask for her passport when we meet again. On the neighboring table, there is a cute boy, we smile at each other, but I miss the chance to ask where he works, then he leaves with his friends. We leave at 3:30 (again more being thrown out than leaving, as they are closing). I take taxi home and am in bed at 4am. I exchanged phone numbers with the black woman in Screw Boys and we will probably see again today. Let’s see where this leads. I like her voice and she is quite entertaining (however with hindsight, there was nothing intellectual or sophisticated in our conversation). Several boys I know saw me kissing or hugging her, that will lead to some chatter. She fits the stereotype of an US-American, sometimes a bit too loud and too self-confident, and a few kg heavier than necessary. I had an interesting and fun night.

This bike service has a website: http://www.punpunbikeshare.com/ (note that the two words pun pun are spelled and pronounced slightly differnt in Thai). I saw some bikes when I drove past in a taxi at their station in Siam Square. The station in Sam Yan however, has been unchanged (and is still under construction) for months. I am pretty sure I saw poles to lock the bikes there in February, then they were gone, then they were there again, and gone again. I had the impression that part of the roof has been taken away (right next to that station is the bus stop from which I occasionally drive back to my place). I would say the whole project is a stillbirth (do you use stillbirth in a figurative sense, for something that is doomed from the very beginning?).

Update on the motorcylcle boy. I haven't seen him at work for a few weeks, neither at his home. Then it seemed someone else lives at the place where he stayed. So I asked one of his neighbors: he has moved to a few kilometers away. And the other cute boy (I often saw them together, sometimes shirtless) is back in Surin! At least I learnt a new word: Philips screwdriver is ไขควงสี่แฉก in Thai. I finally borrowed a Philips screwdriver from work and assembled the table myself (now that I need it for my laptop). The bottle of Leo is still in my fridge. Sorry that I can't provide a happy ending for the story. Out of about 500 people who live in the slum I walk past every day on my way back from work, these are the only two fit for sex, and exactly these two move away! (The two fishing boys live in the same slum, but the other way, so I have to make a detour of 100 meters to walk past their house.)

I will bottom for you for half a million Baht.
