  1. Wherever you decide to retire, my advice is to learn the language. That will give you independence and save a lot of money.
  2. My general impressions from Malaysia (KL in 2010 and Penang in 2015) were ok, but all gay discos and saunas I visited in KL allowed smoking inside, which totally put me off. Singapore was not boring when I visited in 2014, unfortunately the one gay sauna I visited (Cruise Club) was not at all my style. http://christianpfc.blogspot.de/2014/11/cruise-club-singapore.html
  3. One of my areas of interest, I have a category "urban decay" in my blog. http://christianpfc.blogspot.de/search/label/urban%20decay https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruins_photography
  4. Thanks for your report. Celebrity Club seems to be the former Trinity Club which was G-Star Pavilion when I went in 2014.
  5. On my visit 31 Jan - 1 Feb, I saw boys in jeans in 360 (before I ordered - that's the first thing I look for when I enter a bar: how many boys and what do they wear) and told mamasan that I want to see boys in underwear, and left.
  6. The perennial favorite! Quote what I wrote in the other thread: In Bangkok Soi Twilight be prepared to pay 400 for a drink, 500 off fee and 1500 short time (with attempts to push it to 2000, and popular boys might ask for 2500). In Pattaya 200, 400, 1000.

  8. There is some truth in this. Unfortunately, the only common ground I have with most boys is that I want to get my hands into their pants, and they want to get their hands into my wallet. What you call "an absolutely great night out" probably involved disco, alcohol, loud music, singing, dancing, all of which is anathema to me. Every now and then I take a boy to daytime activities (temples, museums, parks, and the like), but those who are interested and can walk a few kilometer are rare. And then you have the problem of either keeping them over night or meeting them in the morning. I am grooming some boys (all over 18 years old) in Bangkok, you could call that "cultivate a relationship", and it comes at a lower price tag (500 Baht for sex and between 100 and 300 when we meet and don't have sex, although I had had soft moments where I gave 1000 for mocy repair or sick mother), vs. average 400 off fee and 1000 tip for boys from bars in Pattaya.

    NEW HERE

It will be difficult to have tour guide and sex partner in one person. For sex partner, I would meet in real life first to see if there is a connection. What is your budget? A night in Soi Twilight can quickly get very expensive, and if they realize you are new they might milk you even more. Meet regulars for a chat and drink and to get information would be a good idea. You did not mention if you want to pay for sex. With a bit of luck, you can find someone for free online or in the saunas.
  10. In dark rooms in saunas, a lot of group action goes on. In light, I had only few threesomes, let's say one out of 50 sexual encounters, always initiated by the boys. Only SM I know is in the the few fetish bars (I mean I know such bars exist, but I have never been).
  11. My underline. There is nothing wrong with that, but when I go in a brothel, I do not want to cultivate a relationship, I want to take a boy off the stage, like doing grocery shoping. I do cultivate relationships with some Thai boys who provide sex for money for me, because I speak their language and prices are reasonable (500 Baht, no drinks, no off fees).
  12. In my opinion, 50 or max. 100 Baht would be the right amount to get your point across, i.e. a polite way to say "fuck you". With 500 Baht, many boys will think "Wow! 500 Baht for nothing! Let's try this again tomorrow!".
  13. There is a book about places to visit near MRT and BTS stations, but it's in Thai and many of the entries are "where and what to eat" which is a non-issue for me. What exactly? I went part of the purple line, not much of interest around.
  14. Try Babylon sauna.
  15. I'm very comfortable traveling alone. In Thailand I have the advantage of speaking the language, so I don't need a local to help, and anyway I usually know much better the average local. (Locals trying to help can be a problem for me, can waste a lot of time talking, then pretend to accept their advice, and still do it my way once they are gone.) For other countries I would guess that the experienced traveler, even if he doesn't speak the language, is better off alone than with the average local.
  16. More like an eye in a triangle (like in the dollar note) with wings.
  17. So would I. When I enter a gogo bar, I first check if number of boy is sufficient (more than 10, or if less than 10 one clearly worth a second look) and how they are dressed. If I see boys in trousers, I tell staff I want to see underwear and leave. As it happened in 360 degree last time I poked my head in.
  18. TMB = http://www.thaimassageboy.com/ (had to look this up to be sure)
  19. An impressive list, that is more than everything I have experienced. Some recommendations: I use google maps so I know where I come from, where I'm going, and where I am (not foolproof, there can be U-turns, one-way streets, buses that don't go the shortest way). I try to be as independent as possible, e.g. buy bus and train tickets at the counter and not involve tour agencies or hotel staff, eat at restaurants that cater to locals.
  20. My reports from Jan 2015 seem to be the most recent and detailed: http://christianpfc.blogspot.de/2015/01/hat-yai-gay-bars-and-massage.html http://christianpfc.blogspot.de/2015/01/gay-saunas-in-hat-yai.html see here as well: http://llz.blogspot.de/2014/06/curiosity.html
  21. There are worse ways to die. The poor girls must have gotten the shock of her life. I stayed in Bueng Gan twice last year and didn't notice any available ladies. The man must have had local knowledge or connections.
  22. Now I know my way around Thailand, and those scams and overpricing take place in touristy places, which I don't frequent any more. In the provinces no problem at all. But scams make up a large part of my memories of Bali. (From scamming to overpricing.) And I won't go to Phuket or Samui any time soon, because I vividly remember overpriced transport and food. On the other hand, I don't recall any scams in my two visits to Vietnam (Jan and Mar 2016), but that might be because I have experience from Thailand and now can easily spot and avoid scams everywhere.
  23. That has nothing to do with being a communist country. Most countries do not allow their own civilians, leave alone foreign tourists, to enter military facilities. There is some local tourism at military facilities in Thailand. As far as I know, the aircraft carries is open to Thai public (but not to foreign nationals) when in Sattahip.
