  1. Thanks for your reports. I think there is no need for *, we have read it all before.
  2. I had two negative experiences with Vietnamese boys, and on the forum negative reports outweigh positive reports. Hence I stay away from Vietnamese boys. Hank75 is to be congratulated to come to this conclusion after just one negative experience, whereas it took me two! Back to the OP. Sleeping and eating habits of myself and the boys vary a lot. I sleep midnight to 8, I had boys who get up 15. One of my recent overnighters got up around 10, but wasn't hungry and left 15. Whereas I had two meals when he left 15. Nowadays I do long time in my room only after positive short time, and only when I have no important plans for the following morning to early afternoon. When I'm staying in a hotel it's a different story. I tell the boy in advance what time I will leave, and if he is still sleeping I let him sleep (happened one time in Pattaya, a boy I picked up in the disco was still sleeping when I left, so I told hotel staff to let him sleep when I checked out).
  3. I don't care if they are dancing or not. If you want to see dancing, go to a ballet! I'm here (gogo bars) looking for prostitutes.
  4. Great report! I should try apps for taxi or other transport next time I'm abroad. Good points: no haggling and no confusion about destination when you can put starting point and destination in. Whenever I see a foreigner showing an address to a Thai taxi driver on his mobile phone, I cringe because that's just crying "OVERCHARGE ME!". But I'm not much better when abroad, I still remember that awful encounter in Vietnam in 2016, where I showed an address of a sauna on my mobile phone (the website was grey letters on black background), to a mocy taxi, and he couldn't read it or didn't know it, and had to pass my phone around all other mocy taxi drivers to find out the location, followed by negotiation of price. Now I write all addresses down on paper. The sauna scene in PP is good by my standards. Which apps did you use? On recent trips to Myanmar I found that blued is more than 10 times more popular than hornet there. The railway in Cambodia is expanding. A friend said there is now a train running between airport and railway station. With new rails having been laid, as there was no rail before. The railway station in Poipet and railway line are all new (visit in Sep 2018), and it looks like the connection to Thailand will open in the near future.
  5. When I travel to Cambodia, I bring EUR and exchange them to USD there. Unless you get a better rate for GBP to USD in the UK, it doesn't make sense to change there, as you still would be carrying cash with danger of loss or theft.
  6. Not much to do for me in Phnom Penh during day. Sights that are interesting to me can be covered in a few days. But I like the sauna scene in Phnom Penh, could easily spend a week! Siem Reap has various gay massage, bars and freelancers.
  7. I use the sachets of lube that are provided by saunas. A bit too liquid for my taste (figuratively), about half of it is lost by dripping. I never had problems to get it out of bed linen in washing machine. What I don't like is the smell (not a bad smell, close to indifferent), that sticks to my fingers, even after washing or showering, and stays for hours. anddy: [silicone based lube] also, it lasts longer because, unlike water-based lube, it doesn't dry out I was wondering what you meant. You mean storage, not usage?
  8. Yes. I once passed on a reconnaissance around 19:50 and was thrilled with seeing the boys appear and change clothes in the bar, under white light, without paying attention to me. (Locker room fetish? Similar happened in Eros.) But then there is a long wait, from 20 to 21 or even 21:30, until all of them come in and you have a full stage.
  9. I flew at least twice, maybe four times, with Turkish Airlines Berlin-Istanbul-Bangkok and they are fine by my standards (which is, I and my luggage get to the destination airport on time and in one piece). I have no strategy. I have flown Berlin to Bangkok at least ten times, with at least 8 different airlines. I want a departure time after midday (so I can get to the airport without having to get up early); arrival time in Bangkok is irrelevant. As there are no direct flights from Berlin to Bangkok, stopover should be between 2 and 4 hours. Every time I fly, another airline comes up with optimum between (price)(stopover time)(departure time).
  10. When I come to Thailand from Germany, I use all the hold I'm allowed to bring (in case of Egypt air that was 40 kg in two suitcases) to bring as much German cheese and chocolate to last me for months. On visa runs around Thailand, I usually fly with hand luggage only as that is cheaper and I can just manage to get all I need into hand luggage.
  11. Thanks for your report. After long absence, it inspired me to go to Sauna Mania again to inquire about show, or even better watch/join. So I went on Sat15dec2018 and arrived 18:35, and I was lucky: preparations for show in progress. And I like what I saw and touched later. Receptionist says show is Fri Sat Sun 19:00. I will be back!
  12. When I eat in Silom area, it's mostly in Sukiya Japanese Fast Serve or Madrid restaurant for pizza or Sizzler Salad bar with a vegetarian friend (to my surprise, they have pasta and other food so I can have a full meal there).
  13. In my vast experience, there is no correlation between level of service and money paid. That's why I do street-trade (rarely nowadays) where the chance for good sex short-time for 500 THB is similar as in Pattaya (where I take all my business nowadays) for 1000 or in Bangkok bars for 1500++ (which I don't do any more).
  14. Payment for off fee and drink(s) goes to wait staff in general, or mamasan, whoever is first to take your payment. My underline. These people are not your friends, they are out to take as much money from you as is possible without use of force.
  15. I don't know what the bars around Surawong are doing, but I remember some years ago Farose 1 sauna had a South-East-Asian big cock contest. I chatted with one of the performers (from Cambodia, still working in gogo around Surawong) and while he is not my type, he is a friend's type and I brought then into contact and they had many happy times together. But such contests are rare, I haven't heard of one since. Not handsome man, but there is Miss Universe in Impact Arena soon. This is getting rare, and I'm happy about that. One guy giving massage (I spot it right when I enter the toilet, and decline), another turning on the water for me, a third handing me a towel, and they all asking for tip, which I happily decline hoping this will accelerate the demise of this awful custom.
  16. We are dealing with three different entities: Embassy The Thai embassy in Berlin requires a flight out of Thailand to issue a tourist visa. I always had a flight within 60 days of arrival, and nowadays don't to extension any more anyway. It remains a mystery to me why embassy asks for a flight out of Thailand, even for flight to Thailand. The starting date of the visa is not related to these dates. At least the flight out of Thailand, I would like to have more freedom when and where to go, instead of having date and place 3 months in advance. And for flight to Thailand, which has to be shortly after visa starts, but I would rather have the visa first and book the flight after. E-visa for Myanmar does not require flight in or out, only port of entry has to be specified. And technically you can only enter Myanmar if you have a ticket out, but I have done four times without and never been asked. Airline In the encounter quoted above (China airlines from Taipei to Bangkok), I had no visa, but flight out of Thailand within 60 days and a printout of website about 30 days extension, and could show all my previous visa free entries and extensions, but airline staff insisted on a flight out of Thailand within 30 days. Immigration These are whose business it is, but I have never been asked for flight out of Thailand by immigration!
  17. bkkguy is alluding to the Thai term for rimming, which is ล้างตู้เย็น láang dtôo yen literally "clean the refrigerator". So there is a Thai expression, but I have only come across it in books, never on gay contents in social networks. And rarely have I come across the activity in real life.
  18. From airline to embassy requirements to enter Thailand. While the Thai embassy in Berlin accepts bus or train tickets as proof of leaving Thailand, train tickets can only be bought 60 days in advance which is too short for my purposes. Anyway, a train ticket to Aranyaprathet or Nong Khai implies leaving Thailand by the nearby border crossing, but is still in Thailand. A bus ticket to Siem Reap would work. But you never know if the airline staff or immigration officer would accept a bus ticket as proof of leaving Thailand. With a flight, you are on the safe side.
  19. I don't understand. Please explain.
  20. Most of my flights to Thailand are one-way with a tourist visa, so no problem here. I was asked for ticket out of Thailand when I boarded China Airlines in Taipei to Bangkok. I didn't have, and I didn't have a visa either, so all I could do was to buy a fully refundable flight out of Thailand. To make things easier, I did with the same airline, a flight Bangkok to Taipei which cost me about 30,000 THB. The refunding worked, but there were losses (e.g. 1.75% by my German bank whose credit card I used to pay for the flight), that amounted to about 3,000 THB. That would have been a cheaper option! Is the waiver instead of ticket at discretion of the airline or staff? Addendum: I recently found that when you pay flights with Nok Air at 7-Eleven, there is a time frame of 24 hours during which the payment has to be made. But the document issued to make payment is not a reservation.
  21. Sounds like you are my type! Message me if you want to meet. (Might be too late, but I'm reading this thread only now.)
  22. That depends on many things. When I first came to Bangkok, I stayed in Ibis Sathorn by recommendation of a friend, and found Farang friends in that area, and have been living here ever since. But if you want to go local, you can live in the suburbs of Bangkok and save a lot on rent, or even in the villages. If you travel a lot, like I do, you need proximity to public transport. Whereas a friend of mine stays home most of the time, and tends to his garden and animals, and lives in a location that would be awful for me.
  23. That's what they (staff in bars and boys) are trying to push the short time tip, and what people who want to be on the safe side pay. I have never been in such a situation, and probably never will be, but that does not deter me from offering my two cents of wisdom: I would offer the the going rate (1500 in Bangkok or 1000 in Pattaya) for a threesome.
  24. I shower before I go out. And as going out does not involve sweating, I can go directly to bed when I come back with someone. I will leave it to the boy if he wants to shower or not. I prefer directly to bed. I like warm and dry skin, and after shower my or the boy's skin is cold and wet and it needs time to get warm and dry. These numbers are high. I do not tip at all, but if you have to tip staff that provided non-sexual service, I think 20 THB is well received and 100 is over the top. I tip 100 to boys I have to sit with me in Pattaya, in addition to buying them a drink, and that is well received (but considering there are many high spenders in Bangkok, 100 might be looked down in Bangkok for having a boy sit with you)
  25. Absolutely! I have a policy of ordering one drink per bar, regardless if the visit is 30 minutes (my average) or 3 hours (record).
