On the weekends, the tourists are Thai people. The farang are a combination of expats and others who are on visas that have been extended, over and over. Jomtien bars are not full at night, actually quite empty. Most of the customers are expats and others who are also on extended visas. Your assumption is correct, few are choosing the two week quarantine other than husbands/wives with a Thai spouse.

Farang customers are scare in the go-go bars these days so there are many boys waiting and waiting for someone to off them up until closing time.

Now, as I recall, the off fee is now 400 at any time. Actually there are many boys at Winner after 9 pm.

For the best of both worlds, there is Winner Bar in Sunee where the lads do sit outside during their breaks in skimpy briefs as well as dance on the stage, inside. And the drinks are inexpensive.

Toy Boys is in Boyztown and I don't recall any host bars in that area where boys mingle with the customers. BBB does have outdoor seating and the staff there are often outside prior to the show, if that is what you mean?

Green Bar ( known as Green Chairs Bar) in Sunee Plaza is closing shortly, probably by Nov. 1. Lack of customers is the reason. In its heyday, Green Bar was a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and observe the people milling about on the soi.

Vessey, when you say "bars" are you referring to go-go bars and/or host bars? For me, the go-go bar to go to is Winner Bar in Sunee; there is nothing else comparable. For host bars, it is Diamond Bar in Sunee where hosts and conversation are good but sadly, at present, customers are scarce.

In Thailand they are available at most pharmacies; cost is 1200-1500 Baht per 50. Also sold on the streets at about 1000 Baht/50 In USA a prescription is required although they seem to be available on-line; you can google for more info.

Finally my login issue has been resolved (almost). As mentioned . I was able to login using the method prescribed above. Then, a week or two ago, I was not able to login at all! I am in agreement with you z909, my preference is the skinny lads at a go go bar. But many in the gay community, with partners, don't ever visit the gay venues and even more so with Covid. Until tourism reopends it will be up to the expats and gay Thais to keep things open and alive.

The only life in Sunee is Nice Boys and Winner Bar (go go clubs); and Diamond, Green and One Bar. But the go-go bars do offer boys on stage and inexpensive drinks which is a plus. Just need some more customers!
