  1. Wow now that alone may well screw with some retired expats, I think this could well get ugly
  2. Forgot my full packet of BP meds and arrived with only a few days worth once but got them in the small pharmacy just near Chula (I think AP Medical), no problems at all, just showed them the empty packet with my info on the label and they were happy to sell me some. I do like that one and Chula, if one doesn't have what I need the other most likely will.
  3. They really are some lowlife scumbags that do this shit and they would be close to if not the lowest of the scum. And I would say they are most likely in countries where it would be very hard if not near impossible to get to them.
  4. The gay scene in Thailand for me is more the massage shops than the bars, I have never really been a fan of the go go bars (not even in my straight days) but prefer the beer bars for a much quieter drink and socialising with the guys. Travel to Thailand or other places in Asia I like to move around and check places out (museums, ancient city ruins etc) and at the end of the day hit a gay massage shop for hopefully a good massage (or mediocre rub down) and some hot steamy sex. Then I can enjoy the night and whatever it holds. Costs all round are rising just about everywhere and I do wish that I could have found my version of the gay scene in Thailand many years before I actually found it but alas I missed out on what many would say were the good days.
  5. I have seen guys retire and expire in the Philippines and Thailand, one common problem with those guys is they thought they could retire there and still carry on like a tourist. Without having plans to keep busy all they did was live the high life (so to speak), drink all day and night going from bar to bar their health soon deteriated to the point of no return. Moving to places like Thailand or the Philippines to live, in my view a person needs something to keep occupied with (other than drinking and whoring around), an interest in a hobby, maybe take up a course and do some studies etc, just something to keep the mind busy.
  6. Been there twice now and visited both museums, I did prefer The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre museum (just next to the cemetery), smaller than the one next to the bridge but more my liking. I am hoping to one day do the ANZAC day dawn service at Hell Fire Pass, maybe next year.
  7. I looked at May, same price for business class but for me the best options are either Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday as they leave Perth at 09:20, the return on those days is just after midnight which gets in at just the right time for the long drive home. My trip will either be with Thai or Singapore Air, I won't mind SIA so that I can do a week in Singapore on the way home
  8. I've always enjoyed the food on Thai and looking forward to it again
  9. Well some news for West Australians at least, Thai airways has announced they are returning direct flights to Perth on March 31st and it looks like daily flights. All bodes well for a mid year return to the land of smiles, hot bodies and stiff dicks for me The link below says the 27th but Thai quoted 31st on Facebook Thai airways returns to WA
  10. I've only ever created 2 profiles on apps but became suspicious very quickly and stopped using them, amazing just how quickly Nigerians (mostly them but other Africans as well and not those in Thailand either) started messaging and wanting to make contact. The alarm bells were ringing loudly, so loud that I just deleted the apps and just rely on face to face contact when I travel.
  11. A bit early I know but I shall be sound asleep when the old goes out and the new comes in so I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and may 2024 be the best yet, I'm looking forward to my long awaited return to Thailand some time in 2024 (it's just a matter of when).
  12. Most of my friends that caught it isolated for 7 days or until they tested negative at least twice, for most of them 7 days seemed to be about the right time but a couple didn't test negative until 14 days later (probably still just shedding the dead virus cells).
  13. I suppose visual is part of my thing but seeing the body unclothed is more of a thing than seeing fully clothed (I guess I like to see whats underneath more), a nice smooth body (non hairy please) and nicely toned can get me really excited, especially if there is a nice cock attached (size not overly important but no silicone or mooks please). I do love oral whether its giving or receiving and preferably both at the same time (can't beat a great 69er), when it comes to sex I find the body on body contact to be an important part of it and a big turn on not just the penetration. I do have a very big turn off though and it's something that I just can't stomach and that's bad hygene, sorry but bad body odour and bad breath is a massive turn off for me.
  14. I have read before that the Tawanna (I think that was the former Ramada) taken over by another hotel chain (IHG) and will reopen as voco Bangkok Surawong in 2025 after a major renovation
  15. Just in my view it's a stupid idea, 3 days is more than long enough
  16. I once thought of investing in the 20 year elite visa and for me it looked a better option than screwing around with the retirement visa (a simpler version of retirement visa like the Philippines would be much better), that would of just about seen me out time wise. For me now I wouldn't even consider the elite due to the money grabbing price hikes, at the new cost it's just not that good an option any more.
  17. A long time back I had flown on old Russian jets in Vietnam but doubt I would now, granted that they were old and the maintenance could have been improved along with the comfort level but I still made it to my destinations. I would much rather stick with either Airbus or Boeing now
  18. Not to mention that Isan guys seem to be better endowed than most, must be something in the water up there
  19. I remember they did before and it was smart casual. Found this. "Both Vertigo and Moon Bar have a 'Smart Casual' dress code, requiring semi-formal attire: long trousers and closed shoes for gentlemen, no torn jeans, sleeveless tops, shorts or flip-flops for ladies and gents."
  20. The times my flights arrived it was always peak hour on the expressway and the trains, as I have the two bags (one carry on and one bag) I always caught a taxi. I hate being on a packed train and someone with big luggage or big backpacks try to squeeze on, even when there is no room for their luggage / backpack.
  21. Thanks for your report, enjoyed reading it
  22. I haven't been able to find anywhere on those sites to switch to English so I just copy the link into Chrome and use the translate feature in Chrome.
  23. Mine gets bigger when I go into the massage shops in Bangkok but then the guys there do their very best to shrink it back down again
  24. And it appears to be that the governing powers haven't figured that one out yet, sometimes it takes forever for the penny to drop but I still think they may never figure out a solution to the immigration queues, the solution of which is pretty obvious to just about everyone else.
  25. In my very limited experience and my love of Asian guys (not so much into Europeans or Latinos though, unless they are smooth twinks) I will say #1 Bangkok. Looking at the links posted elsewhere on this site for the Japanese escorts I would love to experience some of those guys, one day I'll get there and have some fun in Tokyo and beyond.
