Thanks guys, something to consider. Another problem with the morning flight that I didn't mention are the annoying screaming kids, I'm like a magnet to them and a friend that always takes the later flights says there are less than the morning flights.

Started looking at dates for my next sojourn to Bangkok, so far I have narrowed to 2 weeks somewhere between mid June to mid July, been there before around this time of year and like it then. Of course it will have to line up with room availability at the Raya hotel. Choice of flights on Thai air are a morning flight that arrives around 5pm with a bit of a queue at immigration and traffic into the hotel making the freeway look like a slow moving car park (my last 2 trips the traffic was horrendous). Or I can take an afternoon flight which gets in around 11pm (less traffic into hotel as well), now here I have a question for those that usually arrive around this time, what is the queue at Suvarnabhumi immigration like late night? Not that it matters too much but just like to put approximate arrival time on the hotel booking AND maybe catch a bit of fun (massage and afters) before sleep. Thanks in advance.

Good point buck, last I was there that complex looked very quiet, wonder just how much is not in use there. Could certainly house Bonny and Bangkok massage

Any available places in or around Silom soi 4? I haven't been down that soi in a long time but if there is space it would be the logical choice

So it looks like the gay bar scene is going to become very splintered, I can't see them finding a new soi to all relocate to and set up soi twilight 2. More than likely they will eventually scatter around a fair bit, really only had two attractions for me which are Bonny and Bangkok massage and Bonny had lost some of its lustre for me of late.

Hey Bobby, as for hotels and gym, I now stay at the Raya (used to be regular at Tarntawan but have since changed to Raya) and find it very nice there with no problems taking guests back to the room and it's right next door to the boy bars as well as just down the road from the other bars. You may find the Raya is more inclined toward the Japanese but hey nothing is perfect and is still a fine hotel. For the gym, when in Bangkok I go to Clark Hatch fitness in Thaniya Plaza which is just a short walk from the Raya, straight up soi Thaniya and only 5 minutes walk. Clark Hatch may be a little more expensive than other gyms but being only 5 minute walk from hotel I have no complaints, not too sure if it's still available but the Tarntawan used to have discounts for Clark Hatch which chopped about 100 baht off each day if you bought the ticket at Tarntawan. P.S. Ladyboy lover here too but then I'm bi so it works in nicely with my fun times but my ultimate is 3somes with a girl and boy.

Cash is best for me, the card is used to pay for hotels and as back up in case of unforeseen expenses

Divine, glad you mentioned about the oil and shower, usually I have to ask the boy for a shower between the massage and sex part and some either don't seem to understand or don't care but others are cool. Never had to produce my passport but my West Australian drivers license was sufficient ID for them, it can be expensive yes, from memory it was 400 baht single visit but I always paid for a month which I think was around 3000 baht. Main reasons I liked going there was proximity to the hotel and the salt water pool

In Bangkok I use Clark Fitness Thaniya (Thaniya Plaza 9th floor), reasonable gym and a salt water swimming pool

If you want a good night out, non sexual, have a look at Siam Niramit for a bit of culture. You should be able to get a ticket at any travel agent in Bangkok, ticket also includes a banquet dinner and transport to the show and return to hotel, you just need to pay for your drinks.

Seldz, try a massage place, for first time you could try Bonny or Bangkok on soi Twilight, if you go early there won't be too many people around so you could feel there may be a bit more privacy). Try not to be too bashful and let the boys know it's your first m2m experience (if you want to) and work from there. Might pay to consider if you want a top or bottom first though, just depends on what you wish to experience really (giving or receiving hand job, blow job, anal etc). The places vinapu suggest offer a bit more privacy with showers in the rooms

Australia have done away with the green card when leaving but still use the brown card for arriving. Passports are now scanned rather than stamped and holders of Australian passports (E passports) can now self scan both on exit and arrival and have their picture taken both times as well, makes for a quick pass through immigration. And yes you must still pass through immigration if not self scanning then at the counter with an official on both exit and arrival

I believe I will be making the Raya my regular from now, got a better deal than what was offered by Tarntawan at the time and I like the newness of the hotel as well. When I was booking this trip I compared prices, there were no discounts on offer from Tarntawan at that time (used to get discounts but management had changed) and the Raya was $20 a night cheaper in comparison. Last time at the Tarntawan I had problems with the aircon and it wasn't fixed, even at one time water was dripping (more like rain than a drip) from the inside part of the aircon and all they did was to drain the drip tray and it seemed to be stuck on freezing, the only way to control it was to turn it off, They didn't fix it which was a disappointment because they used to be on top of that stuff.
