  1. seems it has been taken of the www. How did scooby get it? Made a screenshot at the time? By now pretty dated though. (PS=-the nickygaybangkok site-by now also severaly outdated, is a parafrase of shamefull mac re massage places in central BKK).
  2. no/yes, its mostly national-asian. has (IMHO) much more to do with that its looked at as bad habits to show too much of emotion. Also-just money is not the most important thing to buy gratitude-sustained longer commitment to that guy more likely is. In fact many guys may be embarrassed by too large gifts: as its also part of the culture that you have to ''payback'' that sooner or later-putting him in an impossible situation, that he has been bought as a slave. Have had several thankyou's ((appreciation if you talk american) in other ways- much more enjoyable. Again mostly a case of cultural misunderstandings.
  3. the best way to find them is asking others. But that wont point to persons available. But I am more pessimistic as above: finding such a PA it will not be an easy job, as TH as such has very much of a very low jobless % and those being able to speak fluent english are in very high demand and get much higher wages. MOst of the few wanting such people start from scratch and train a prospective candidate. |Or hope for some slightly semilegal ASEAN national, as they can work in TH from 1/15 without all the working-visa fuss etc. (think Pinoy, Burmese, maybe Malay). You should have chosen the Phillippines, but Manila pales compared to BKk in poverty and squalor.
  4. Where is the best REAL THAI MASSAGE ( no sex ) ANYwhere-on any street, in any shopping mall and by the dozen in any touristy area. Prices for Thai msg from about 150 bt/hr and for oil from 250 (but go for higher price-then you get shower and other freebees included). Fully hit and miss, and for the larger part lady staff. Recommendations are useless-staff will have changed and there is no need to cross all of town for that. THe higher priced the hotels around, the higher the price will be-and the more luxuruous the rooms. Has no relation whatsoever on the real quality of the massage itself. Sama-same for Thai food.
  5. there are around 50 of such massageshops with only male staff and sure to offer more. They are spread all over town. Chris, es gibt auch schon einige on Chaeng Wattana/sideois. For those in the tourist belt-Silom and lower Sukhumvit, go to a site of nickysgaybagkok-it still has conscripts of the old shamefullmack reviews. For those shops it does remains hit and miss and its quite personal. My 1 visit to that shop in Ngam Duplee was so bad I'll never ever return there. Arena is often said to be dirty and unkempt, which I found true. In general one may expect that boys working in such msg-shops are better trained at doing msg as an average gogoboy, if comparing big groups its probably true-but its certainly not universal. Many msg-boys are ex barboys and thus a bit older. As it allows more part time work, often loads of young students.
  6. Its an urban legend. However, kwaay=buffalo are certainly NOT all dead or extinct. Just see how much of meat from those beasts is for sell at local markets. It also appears to me, that about any story about it comes from that seaside resort named Pattaya. Stories that are successfull in getting money out of farang are very often-always passed on, maybe even also for a small donation. Same for winning lotteree numbers. Or maybe its even more simple: PTY is sooooo utter boring, that people staying there have nothing better to do as recounting old folktales. Same as all USAers-who always tell they are so time-conscious, can spend/spoil hours discussing the right amount of tip. Others never cease to discuss if beer Chang or beer Singh is better.
  7. Hello from a springg-time Eur. Its fr-so why not peek in
  8. Selamat datang di negeri TH-untuk studen antarabangsa. Saya perangkot sudah. But the RKH area is THE prime major BKK-studentsy area-there are well over 100.000- and there is more as 1 uni. If you want specific gay places: there are plenty along RKH-but at the other side of that dreaded traffic jammed road (but if youre dari Jakarta/JaBoTaBek traffic may even seem calm), near the Sri Nakarin-is called LamSalee. take any bus along Ram-rd, like 60,71,92. Only open from 21.00-busy not untill midnite. If you stay longer time-there are plenty of cheap student rooms along the road-just go into a soi and walk/ask/see. rents from 1500/bulan+ listrik. In the evening, after dusk, there is a giant pasar malam along that road-between uni and the busstation, buy your food and sit down on the fields and chat. As you pos on this gay forum: there are also 3 gay sauna's in side-sois, in soi 46 a brand new ZUGA, Farose 2 and some more in other-find adress in gayscout or asiaout.com. Banyak sukses yah. And holidays start already this weekend. z909 is a bit over-optimistic. My best teman also studies at Ram since 2 yrs and barely speaks a word yet of angkrit. Nor do many of others Ive met.
  9. What do you mean by ''safe''? Robbery? ONly a very few sauna's do open late=after 2.00 Most say on weekend nites then: till last customer goes out. But by 6.00 thats mostly it. Still too early to check in for the new day. BKK has at least 40 male sauna's, but none is very close to Swampy airport. IF packs too big-leave at reception (but thats mpostly for shopping things done)
  10. most people somehow have a ratio of like 25% bad-50% average-25% top. For about anything in life. I do not really think with more exprience you can lower the ''bad'' rate. Looks say so little (just read that other topic about leave a shop without choosing). In massageshops I will ask the receptionist-esp. when you are forced to choose from a fotobook. Better shops are better because they can tell you more about their staff. I have not found those in the tourist zone of BKK. One of my recent worst duds was a guy who later told he had his (or friend-does not matter) birthdayparty the nite before and indeed he was still tipsy. Should have been banned from work in the west, but TITs. Great looks, most of you would say. In general, staying here for longer time and no urgent need to go out daily, when I find a real good performer (most of them do not look stunning) I stick to him. Has worked out very good, turns gradually into a longtime friend. In a 1st time meet-can be awkward, maybe they are shy, whatever, I talk to/with them-the usual things, and as I mostly can say a word or 2 about where theyre from, this breaks the ice.
  11. From an ad in MAX-mag. Surprised that none of you who only stay in that area did not see it?! D-Blu is a new gay sauna (that makes it the 3d in the small Silom area, beside Men-Factory and Sauna mania) and 3 more a little further. It is in soi Saladaeng 1, between Sldg and Ram IV roads. It says it is underground (as the one so named in Sapan kwai). For now it should have soft-opened and offers entry for just 100 bt-or free between 19-20 hrs. Many of its advertising is in Chinese, so it may aim at that vastly growing group. Big opening party on 11/4-to start the Songkran season. Post this here as news-administr may open a post on the only positive bisnis promoting site if so liked.
  12. as above-AirAsia can connect you back to the place you fly into-find the place with lowest ticket price. Book wisely to maximize the time you are allowed in each country before you get into visa-trouble. In between TH-KH-LA-VN you do not really need to fly-unless you are spoilt for luxury-and can use bus or train in between. Overnight trains are fairly pleasant and save a long day of travels-or half a day spending go to/fro and wait in airpts. Seat61.com has the info. Are you Israeli? in That case some of the muslim countries (Malaysia, Indonesia) may be out of bounds of have many restrictions on entry. Visa for China are increasingly harder to get for ANYone from the west-easiest to do on the spot in hKG. Re time of year-you do not specify that exact-how can we know when your BD is? Assuming its about the wesetrn summer; thats rainy season about anywhere. That does not spoil too much-but the later in the year-(sept-oct) it tends to get wetter and wetter and may lead to flooding.
  13. Well hello and sawasdee then for Sam in Siam But: KL is in fact a very long stretch of main road (BKK to PHUket) pretty close along the tsunami-prone beach where every 100 mtrs or so a new resort has its space. There is not really even a village with market and all that. Have never ever seen any hint for gay places about there. Closest by would be Phuket town and many more at Patong beach. As it lacks any local Thai atmosfere, there will also be no cruising. But of course TITs-its always possible that another tourist in the same predicament or some lonely resortworker, working far from home, is open for some adventure. Note that many of the more lowly placed workers will be Burmese. KL seems to be mostly populair among Scandinavians.
  14. We;ll I had one of the greatest duds I ever met there. He looked nice when choosing, yes. AQUA had lower prices when it was still open-450 bt/hr, incl 2 big soft towels and even a JPNese style kimono to wear for the walk from shower to room. For just a little more, not that far way and a nice clean and well-kempt location, try Adonis: 600 bt for 1 hr (Arnea 490) in Convent, close by Satorn. Masseurs to choose from roughly comparable-incl. the tattooed near ex-prisoner looking ones.
  15. START with giving full details-your nationality-it differs per nation. Do NOT expect any exhaustive info on a site like this, it may surpirse you, that the Thai do not make any difference in this if youre gay or not, but nationality does. So find much more elaborate info on a site like thaivisa, which is made for this. AND think about your options-its not a matter of yes/no stay indefinetlly, but there are multiple ways to stay ''forever'' with short ''borderrun'' trips as they say every 3 or 6 monthes. A real working visa is quite another matter-this has to be organised by the employer. To the utter surprise of many a USAer, you are not at all free to just come and work, as is the case in most other non-US countries too, and in fact also for non-USAers visiting that country.
  16. Again something that is explained in about any mainstream guidebook, and in that old faithful TMOT. A or 1 (neung) is usually the 1st (child-or son). For the 2nd its only B and not ''song'' though. Its also a fad of modernity and hipness-some years bring loads of ''Bank'', then we get the ''Kitty'' (mostly girls or katoeys-from helloKitty), and that old faithful Lek seems to diminish. Often these nicknames are changed at certain stages of life or when it is felt bad luck is too much. Or there may be more as 1 to use in separate circles. Just like the chase for the this time surely winning lotteree-nmbrs, monks can be consulted-for a fee- to ask for an appropriate new name. Even close friends wont know the official first name that is printed on the ID or passpt.

    Dear Mr. ATM

oooooohhh, soooooo utter boring- even most parrots can do better. IF you still get that message-its daft simple: come to BKK. have not heard those stories since 3-4 years and met plenty of Isany guys, at least half still coming from chao-nah-rice-farmers-family. Most I meet now are somewhere in some mahawitalayai and IF they have complaints, its due to the non payment of the rice by their own red self-elected govmt. BKKians thus call them ''red buffalo's'' for that.
  18. No-it was so long not being properly upgraded/renovated, that one sat on the springs of the sofa, and that even the tape trying to hold it together got broke. Besides that furniture, I think the whole bar as such has not been upgraded since it opened (way before 1990). Just wondering if it was/is the old owner (a former staffmember) or a change of ownership. And there are not that many bars in BKK working with the same format for ''gogo'' in the afternoon, it was firmly the only 1. But for afternoon direct on the spot treatment (masath sir?0 BKK and that area abounds with possibilities-for a quick jump in the hay, why all that fuss with drinks, pay off, then just have to wait and see what will develop, etc.
  19. Seems in this case my usual well-informed contact has no knowledge either, and I know its just a feeble chance that someone here might know more, but just trying. There used to be a cluster of about 3-4 gay bars in this area (just south of that famous touristy-weekend market-actually along Kampaeng Phet nr 1 rd, oposite the original OToKo=farmers market), which is just 5-10 mins north of the Sapan kwai area. Due to all kind of bus-diversions due to the mob along Chatuchak park, I noted a few days ago that these bars-there also used to be a few str8 ones, are now not to be seen. There is sure a lot of new development going on around there-also for preparation of an extended big BKk bus/train Terminal and new ''skytrain'' toward Don Muang airport and there is a brand new shopping mall. They changed name fairly often, but MOGUE was one of them. So if there is anyone who happens to know more?? I also noted that last year several new gay bars opened along Lard Prao road and one in the old Sai Thai terminal area, but I do not know if these replace them.

    Myanmar/Burma

Have been, but by now quite some time ago-before they started ''opening'' up. If you most likely want to ask ''howzit-howzezene''-there is a separate heading/thread on this country where there is already more recent info. If you finally after so much hesitation, decide to go, do not forget you still need a visa and that accomm, is extremely sparse now-so do book ahead.

    Gay the rabbit

Oh-forgot-this was pointed at in the weekly free mag ''BK magazine'' of 10/1/14-every friday at many BKK shops in inner city.
  22. Just some divertissimento-between all the serious things and all-the-same-repeats: A facebook page with this name got now over 55555 (ha-ha-ha) likes, started as a parody on ''Jay the rabbit''-which was basically comments on office life. A 30 yrs old Thai professional started this page-in a mix of Thai and english- with gay office jokes. LIke about ''cha nee''=girls who like gays and ''Y-girls'' who romantize that their love can put it straight. In fact women give the most likes-well over 60%. I've looked at it and most are indeed funny-and not that much ''camp'' either. And for all of you who believe that here in Th its all so open: this 30-yrs old writer has not come out to his parents (though he is with picture and all in an english magazine) and the item that got most hits was about the parents kicking Gay out of the house after he told them to be gay-lots of similar stories. Now I am not a big fan of fb-but the page opens already when you hit it via google-so no need to even prescribe (for now).
  23. Thai gay sauna's (BKK here as about 40-and there are maybe another dozen spread out in provincial towns) DO have a MINIMUM age of 21-and that will be checked. One cannot really expect to find meets for outside there-but in TH you never know and life is full of daily's surprises. But enjoy it by then: all will offer generous discounts and sometimes even free entry to young guys. Most disco's/bars/pubs also have a min. age of 21-varies with time and place how much enforced-as about anything here. IF you happen to be like an ''alternative-cool/groovy/western'' type of boy, then be prepared to adapt to neat clothes and well-cared for appearance-that means all here in TH. Its just that I happen to stay here in BKK near an enormous large bekpek type area where most young people seem to think its obligatory to walk half naked aorund. If you happen to be Chinese/Asian, you likely already know.
  24. its all the same. Has closed at least 4-5 yrs ago-moved to a location in suburban BKK-an off-off yaek of a LardPrao soi, I think then changed to massage on the spot and has closed-at least 1-2 yrs ago by now. I seem to recall it was run by an (ex) TG=THAI airline steward, for a while banning farang due to their impolite behaviour. So sorry-you have to find another shop. BTW: those places mainly aiming Thai via fone have by now nearly all turned to delivering massage straight away.
