I suggest just enjoying the experience of the moment and not worry about planning too much.

I agree. I look forward to visiting on my next trip.
  3. Always liked the tight police uniforms.
  4. yes. I am only half way there.
  5. I have always used the same barber on Silom that reader mention above. Always had a good haircut here for price mentioned. One barber I used there had worked in a major hotel and spoke very good English.
  6. I would stay out of it unless personally knowing the facts or personally involved. The Thai have their own ways of taking care of such matters and are quite effective at it. Some underestimate how desperate some workers may be and the violence that can so easily follow from them directly or their friends. I was once in a Bangkok club we all know when one of the boys abruptly and perfectly punched a customer in the face. bloodying him quite well. The story was that the customer had not paid the boy the week before for services rendered and had done so in a way the boy lost face. The customer had his face rearranged for it.
  7. It depends on your definition of "very good muscle" to make suggestions for best approach. For my personal tastes I have seen very few guys that attract me at Tawan. I find most to be bloated or just big rather than leaner muscle with symmetry. I have had much better luck at regular bars and massage places by telling the management what I was looking for. I agree that using FB may give them a feeling of being stalked. Just going up to someone at Lumpini may also result in undesirable result.
  8. Thanks for sharing the website and Robin. Great story. Nice looking young man.
  9. I like Siam Paragon and Central for movies, eye candy and sweets. Also enjoy a night at Tawandang Beer Garden with friends to enjoy show, dinner, and beer. Walk through Lumpini early evening. Try one of the many cooking schools for a morning adventure followed by an afternoon real massage. Personally I like to pay a bit more and have at my room for two hours. Cleanliness, privacy, and more relaxed masseur are my reasons. I like to try some of the more international restaurants (such as Indian Food) and sometimes I splurge at Somboon seafood place or similar such as Seafood Market/Restaurant in Sukhumvit.($$$) I like to see something cultural/historical such as Jim Thompson or museum/exhibit.
  10. It depends on why they are looking, what you have on those devices, and how easily you worry, even about legal but private activity. It also depends on what definition you use of "boy sex". As you know that term has a different definition in USA than Thailand. Quite simple.
  11. I always had great experiences at Dental folks at BNH hospital on Soi Covenant.
  12. I am considering a trip to Cuba and wondering if anyone has any recent experiences to share?
  13. You may want to consider the concept of "face" in an asian culture. Being viewed by you as a money boy and being CALLED a money boy are two different things. They may also view accepting money as more akin to sponsorship as opposed to requesting a specific amount upfront. Subtle differences in presentation of a comment can be received very differently. Just as many Thai boys may say "up to you" when accepting payment.
  14. I initially avoid the Loperamide and prefer to let my system rid itself of the problem if possible. But I carry it also just in case. I find the Electrolyte drink packets useful for fluid replacement as mentioned above. I also occasionally use one if the heat and humidity are out of control and affecting me. I don't know if anyone else has had the experience, but I have had several episodes of kidney stones in Thailand, never at my home country. It can come from dehydration and inactivity and can also happen during flying. Not a fun experience waiting for those things to pass.
  15. I also carry the electrolyte packets available at 7-11's for such emergencies. I have always been happy with the treatment received at major city hospitals in PTTY and BKK.
  16. This is an interesting post that shares a lot of different experiences and viewpoints. I am glad I read it. I like that it involves some different and significant cultural and individual differences including: Communication/Language Sense of Time Level of Commitment Honesty Face I think many Thai are different on these areas just as we are.. I know upset some Thai when I use the word "maybe" which for me is a combination of #1 and #3 above. But that is me. Maybe someone else would ignore their request or someone else would say Yes and later renege. I also have to work at it to keep myself aware of #5 and am still sometimes surprised or blindsided by it. On a positive note I have had Thai friends who do a great job of managing the five areas above, keeping me informed as to time and meeting up for travel. I have have been able to travel both within and outside Thailand with them and find it creates some great memories for both of us.
  17. Thank you for taking the time to post all the pictures. I enjoyed looking..
  18. Yes, you will be asked to buy a beverage. Normally the host will ask you if you see anyone you would like to have sit with you. Since you are new, this might be advisable since you can find out the personality of the guy, more closely inspect his body, and find out if he will do what you would like. You can either go when they open or a bit later if you want to see a show, which likely won't be to your interest given your stated preference. Therefore, likely better to go when most guys are there and before show for best choice- so earlier. The timing of weeknights versus weekends may depend on month when you time your visit to Thailand and what waves of tourists are there at that time and whether it is high season or low season. For what you are looking for I think it is more important for you to time your visit a bit before a competition, when the guys will be in their best shape and not worry about weeknight or weekend. You can find out the contests timing by a bit of searching online or looking at Thaibody.com.
  19. I would start with either Tawan or Dreamboy and tell the host what you are looking for. With careful observation, you may find what you are looking for elsewhere as well. It is not necessary to drink, you can just get a soda your juice if you prefer. If you are inexperienced, I suggest reading the various forums like this one (and others) for posts which provide advice on how to interact with Thai guys - such as politeness, smiling, the concept of sanook, etc. It is time well spent and will help ensure things go your way. Given your interests, although most of the guys have seen and heard everything, when you get outside the pure sexual interaction they expect, some may be a bit shy at first. (The guys at Tawan are used to it.) You should also stop by the outdoor gyms at Lumpini Park for a look. You will have a great time if you approach things with an uninhibited attitude and clearly communicate to them what you enjoy. Of course, make sure you provide a detailed trip report!
  20. Having been to both, I would revisit PP and would never return to VN. I loved the Cambodian folks and had nothing but problems with the folks in VN. I had never had anything near the level of dishonesty in Thailand that I encountered in VN. Although it was back a few years, there were no places in Cambodia like you find in Thailand. From my reading, it appears there are more massage places around now than I was able to find when I visited.
  21. Great report with good detail for an enjoyable read. Thank you for taking the time and explaining.
  22. Good decision Homtom. Life will be so much simpler. Good luck.
  23. I agree with DivineMadam's comments. I have visited Roi Et. It was enjoyable and inexpensive. It is a place that does not receive as many farang visitors and therefore, the people are even more curious to interact with you. There is also a university there. Don't expect to find a commercial scene, but who knows what you might find on popular apps for meeting. It would be helpful if you spoke some basic Thai.
  24. Although normally I prefer to travel alone, your trip reports bring back fond memories when I traveled with friends in Cambodia. Sharing meals always seemed to be relaxed and appreciated. I found the people very kind and good looking. One thing that I noticed that was different than Thailand was that the people would stare at me because of my height and size whereas the Thai do not openly do so. They seemed to have a simple yet difficult life, but seemed content. I met a handsome waiter there and asked the owner if that waiter could sit and practice speaking with me for a while and tipped them both. The waiter was such a lovely sweet guy who hugged me when I left (he was straight). I am happy to see that you treat the people well. Great karma.
  25. I also like the level of detail about the interactions within the group. I think it makes it a very special experience.Great storytelling job.
