Some guys get very adverserial here when contradicted. Saxophone clearly shouldn't be listed as gay. Other restaurants that are not guy but are listed, have it specified that they are not gay but gay friendly. You need to be consistent. If you are listing restaurants on a gay site it would be assumed that they are gay friendly anyway. "Gay men love blues and jazz" is one of the silliest generalities I've read recently. Glad to hear that you enjoyed this. It's great fun for a few years, but the novelty wanes. The cleanliness of the water is often an issue leading to infection. I remember about four years ago when the main coast road in Khao Lak was blocked by fighting villagers at Songkran. Anyway it seems that we all agree that these desires and relationships do exist, to a greater or lesser extent. Statistically you are obviously less likely to encounter them if you surround yourselves with rent boys, than if you mix with people who don't need your or anyone else's money. No judgments, just probabilities.

If you think of yourself as a wrinkly old and unattractive person, then that's how others will see you too! If your imagination limits your partners to guys selling themselves, then that's where you will end up, nothing wrong with it. However you really have to be wearing blinkers to not see that there are guys and relationships as the OP has described. The old Railway Hotel was indeed used as a location for The Killing Fields. In fact the production built the swimming pool there, so that it matched the Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, given the film was set in Cambodia.

Good information from Aussie and James! Is the beach and the sea there still good quality? It was about ten years ago, that I went there, and it was beautiful then.

I thought that the Deluxe Suite was excellent value. An enormous bed, and a separate sitting room for 3,000 + per night was good value, and good room service if you bring guys back at night to make a party.
