Meridien would certainly be a very convenient location for the bars of the suggestions. Perhaps another alternative would be to take a two bedroom service apartment.

Are you and your friend a couple? On the one hand you write about splashing out, on the other hand you want a twin room, to which you want to bring back guys. Are you planning to share the guys? A bit more information would help us help you more with your choice of accomodation.

Dear Vinapu, very much enjoyong your daily blow by blow accounts. Keep it Up!

Some guys get very adverserial here when contradicted. Saxophone clearly shouldn't be listed as gay. Other restaurants that are not guy but are listed, have it specified that they are not gay but gay friendly. You need to be consistent. If you are listing restaurants on a gay site it would be assumed that they are gay friendly anyway. "Gay men love blues and jazz" is one of the silliest generalities I've read recently. Gay men love cock, that's why they are called gay. They aren't called gay because they love jazz!

Have you thought of a blog? Not that I want to stop you posting, as they're a good read, but I'd read your blog too!

I stand corrected. Lebanon and Turkey are indeed in Asia, although wasn't there something about Europe and Asia meeting in Istanbul?
-
It's a strange map of Asia that includes Lebanon and Turkey

I think that Khor Thot should just apologise full stop! Is he trying to insult all the posters in turn? Who's next?
-
More casually thrown abuse from KT. Does he have some sort of dispensation to behave like this here? Why does he always think that someone he doesn't agree with is some kind of secret shadow following him! I had a great time at Adams Apple, and with a versatile guy from there, last year.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed this. It's great fun for a few years, but the novelty wanes. The cleanliness of the water is often an issue leading to infection. I remember about four years ago when the main coast road in Khao Lak was blocked by fighting villagers at Songkran. It had started as a gentle tradition, but it reignited old trouble between two villages. Traffic was held for twenty minutes while the road was cleared.

Scottishguy, I don't know what you are getting so defensive about and personal with me. My response was to the OP post, and didn't reference your comments at all. Anyway it seems that we all agree that these desires and relationships do exist, to a greater or lesser extent. Statistically you are obviously less likely to encounter them if you surround yourselves with rent boys, than if you mix with people who don't need your or anyone else's money. No judgments, just probabilities.

If you think of yourself as a wrinkly old and unattractive person, then that's how others will see you too! If your imagination limits your partners to guys selling themselves, then that's where you will end up, nothing wrong with it. However you really have to be wearing blinkers to not see that there are guys and relationships as the OP has described. I had one Thai friend who wasn't interested unless the farang was over 60, and he was not looking for a relationship either, just hookups, and neither needed nor wanted any financial support.

Agree with most of the posters here that the least bad result in this situation, is to get the guy out, without either of you losing face. 500 - 1,000 Baht would be the compromise. Now you have one very pissed off guy out there, pissed off at you, and he won't forget you. Hopefully you'll never come across each other, although he does know where you live.

Oh right, so just a casually thrown insult. I know my posts aren't shakespeare, and I have less knowledge of the commercial scenes than most posters, but that isn't a reason to belittle every post that I've made here, by casually suggesting that they are all fake. Don't think you would do that to my face.
-
I've been posting here for more than five years, and I don't know why you suddenly think that I am someone else, or who that person is. Could you put some substance on your comment please. It's easy, and very hurtful, to make such a wild claim without any substantiation.

Guess I must have been responding to a bit more of your promo chat a month ago. Sorry about my intervention, but if you don't like it, I don't know why you keep reading. Like those people get shocked by something on TV but keep watching, then later they complain how terrible it was.

This Scotty Guy really seems to know what's up on this bitch board that he's always going on about. Is he their PR guy?
-
Devin, you misunderstand me. I am not doubting that these events will take place. I am just pleased to see that such a full programme has been arranged, which means that all are collaborating.
-
Devin, thanks for this information. It sounds like quite an occasion, and I think that it can be read into the programme that all the clubs are collaborating again. There was a period when dominant Gay Paradise personalities were at such loggerheads that the event barely took place at all!
-
Thanks Firecat for your reports, and a really good and varied selection of Thai Guy photos. Great faces.
-
I don't really understand why you guys keep visiting this other site to come back here and complain about it!! All you're doing is publicising it, and if it as sick as you say, who wants to do that.
-
Ditch the paranoia, the fear that you might be taken for a ride, the dread of being sucked into a whirlpool of future commitments. You had fun with someone who, by the very nature of living in Thailand, has a much lower earning threshold, who, never having asked for anything since you have known him, asks for a little help............ Help him NOW! And don't labour the "it's only once" bit either! Just make light of it. "I've never paid anyone's rent before, but making an exception this time....." and do it NOW, what's to think about?!

Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort: A Review from May 2012
khaolakguy replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
The old Railway Hotel was indeed used as a location for The Killing Fields. In fact the production built the swimming pool there, so that it matched the Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, given the film was set in Cambodia. -
Good information from Aussie and James! Is the beach and the sea there still good quality? It was about ten years ago, that I went there, and it was beautiful then.

I thought that the Deluxe Suite was excellent value. An enormous bed, and a separate sitting room for 3,000 + per night was good value, and good room service if you bring guys back at night to make a party.
