Accomodation in Bangok when staying in Thailand for 2 months
khaolakguy replied to gytis123's topic in Gay Bangkok
Err, that's not even one month! Sadly the serviced apartments that I would have recommended are closed for refurbishment. For extra sheets etc, you are thinking too much already. I am sure that you will normally be able to obtain a change of sheets etc in serviced apartments or Airbnb. Just explain that you have had an "accident". Anyway first find your apartment and then you will find a shopping mall nearby where you can buy this if you prefer. Regarding washing clothes just ask the apartment supplier and if they don't have an on site service they will surely be able to advise you. If there is no safety box you can lock valuables in a suitcase. In the areas that you mention you will be asked if you want tuk tuk etc if you look like a tourist. It's just part of the soundtrack. Ignore or say "no thank you" without stopping. -
I also had my important passport pages photocopied and laminated in this shop earlier this year!

For over two decades, President Vladimir Putin has squeezed dissent in Russia. Critics, journalists, and defectors have faced dire consequences after opposing him. From poisonings to shootings, mysterious falls from windows, and even plane crashes, there is a long trail of silenced voices. This list is just a sample. Relevant to discussion on Ukrainian corruption is the fact that when Magnitsky exposed corruption by top government officials in Russia it was he who was put in jail where he subsequently died from torture and medical neglect. https://www.newsweek.com/putin-critics-dead-full-list-navalny-1870692

Breakfast at Le Meridien is usually very entertaining with both the long term and very short term gay couples mixed in with their straight clientele who are often in a minority!

For me BBB was best when on the left hand end, as you entered, it was turned into a small gay disco/bar from where you could watch the guys displaying or the shows on stage if you wished but you could also socialise with the freelancers and their fans who gathered at that end. Kind of a mix of both worlds. I guess that was the 90's.

A very dickensian turn of phrase and also I feel the object of some posters' desire!

Funny that! He also omitted the fact that Tusk said that one of the men had previously been convicted of sabotage.

If your interpretation of this action is correct it wouldn't be required unless a significant number of Chinese were following the government guidelines. This is incompatible with your previous assertion.

I assumed that he didn't ask and that was the reason that the event was described as "Unusual Happening"!

Two Ukrainian citizens who have long worked for Russian intelligence have been identified as the suspects behind two acts of sabotage on Poland's rail network, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said. One of the suspects had already been convicted in absentia of acts of sabotage in Ukraine, Tusk told Poland's parliament. From the BBC and other sources reporting what Donald Tusk actually said. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gknv8nxlzo

Wow, you should work for the Vietnam Tourist Board, I am thinking of rewriting the itinerary for my next trip! -
Wow, that's impressive research and very useful to others. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps this should be pinned and could be updated by others as time goes by. Kind of Wikimassage!

Asian boss (youtube): The hidden industry that runs Thailand
khaolakguy replied to macaroni21's topic in Gay Thailand
I would say that it is generally a consensus in the entertainment industry that international touring shows do not usually match the standard of the originals for the following reasons. Limitations on Casting/Performers caused by the travel, lower profile and status of touring shows, which also limits the appeal to the best directors, choreographers etc. Set Design and Construction are limited by the need to be made flat packable for transport between venues. The variety of lay outs in different theatres is a negative against creating the staging and audio for a specific theatre and its acoustics etc. etc. Perhaps the shows you saw at the Rajadalai were the exceptions that prove the rule but I doubt it. And no I didn't see those shows either in Bangkok or anywhere else. Not my idea of an evening out. While I am sure that expats attended these shows the contention that the availability of touring versions of such shows will attract middle management to relocate to another country is laughable. Although you state that Singapore and Hong Kong have invested heavily in theatres and travelling shows for just such specific purpose. I can imagine the conversation now: Him "Darling my company want to relocate me to Hong Kong" Her "Do we really have to go?" Him "It will be great, if we go we can get tickets for The Lion King" Her "In that case let's pack our bags now!" -
Although I can't speak for the guys at Fresh Boys, a bowl cut looks like someone put an upturned bowl on their head and cut around the bowl, so everything below the lip of the bowl is short or shaved. Seems to be quite a popular style in the last year everywhere.

I thought your point was: to attract expats(not tourists). My point was that expats would probably prefer to see the original rather than touring versions of these shows, and as such they would hardly be a draw to relocate to Singapore or Hong Kong. It's not like saying moving to London/New York gives you access to the variety of London's Theatreland or Broadway and shows with their original casts.
