I'm sure the torture was short lived. The branches were broken while climbing will grow back, the leaves will grow back and the limbs may become even stronger. Trees often bounce back from such stresses.

A Thai friend tells me about a female friend of his. She is described as an average looking government worker that has lots of disposable cash. What o get from it is that the owner or manager knows that the customers are price conscious and offers a reduced price for the 2nd drink. That is not common practice in bangkok gay gogo bars.

The bars need to find a way to keep the patrons sitting in their seats and ordering more drinks before leaving to go to another bar and buying drinks from their competition. With these high drink prices, the bars are encouraging their customers not to buy drinks for the staff and to stay out of their bar and use the apps. The times are changing and we need to stop looking at yesterday, it's gone. We need to focus on the now. Sure I had fun on the past but I'm living on the now and these are my good times. New bars are opening, the apps make it easier to meet guys. I can be on my room, on a train or in a gogo bar and the apps are working their magic. Sure I complain about the bar prices, but I find that I spend less and less time in the bars and more and more time with the guys thanks to the smart phone apps. So why do I complain about the outrageous drink prices? I guess because I would like to go to a gogo bar and have a drink with a hot guy. But then I can log onto grindr and have hot sex and massage with a thai guy that works massage all for 500 BAHT, and he will come to me... So I complain because I want a perfect world. I know I can't have it all, but how will the bar owners know what I want if I don't let them know?

One other thing I want to mention. I met some Thai guys in pattaya and while hanging out with them, they pulled out their phone and showed me some pics from when they were in the army. The pics were of guys mostly in the nude. It was easy to tell they were in a military setting. I wanted to see more but didn't want to act too facinated. With all the guys nude in the pictures in casual situations, I was wondering what it must be like in the Thai military.

I think it all depends on the mood of the officer. I will keep my passport in the safe and just look at any police involvement as a foundation for me being able to post with firsthand accounts.

I probably should have went I to one of the twilight bars for old times sake. But I like that the bars are finding new locations and offer drinks at lower prices. One thing is for sure, I'm not buying any staff drinks at a cost of 300 baht or more each drink. But at the time of this post 300 baht is equal to $9.14.... still, I'd rather put the money in the hand of the guy I'm sitting with and letting him decide if he wants the drink or the cash. One night I was headed back to my room. I'd just finished seeing the show at Boyz... I had a date to meet a friend and needed to get back. The bad part is that the guys can't read minds. They can't tell if you like one of them and want them to sit with you u less you tell them. If those bars are the dollar bars of bangkok than pattaya must be the goodwill or thrift store equivalent of the bar industry haha
