I get where you're coming from, but I think a lot of people feel like the January 6 cases weren’t handled in a fair, unbiased way. It seems like some judges and prosecutors were more focused on making an example of these folks because of the politics involved, rather than treating everyone equally under the law. It’s not about excusing what happened.. wrong is wrong.. but the punishments feel over the top compared to how similar events have been handled.
