I'll be returning to Brazil in November for a few weeks, starting my trip in São Paulo and ending in Rio. This trip will be a little different because I have some dental work to take care of. I need to have a crown repaired. I was originally planning to get it done here at home, but with my vacation fast approaching, I figured I might as well take care of it while I'm in São Paulo. It will also give me an opportunity to see whether Brazil might become my destination of choice for future dental work. Last year, I had some dental work done in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The cost was low, and the quality of the work was top-notch. So much so that I decided I would return there if I ever needed a procedure that would cost me more than $1,000 here in the USA. I'm hoping Brazil will become another option. Aside from that, I'm curious about what's going on at Point202. The last time I was there, they didn't have a drink price list. I asked for one, and they told me they didn't have one. Well, I wasn't about to spend money without knowing what things cost, so I went without drinks. I actually visited two or three times without buying anything. I mentioned here that I would never purchase anything without knowing the price, and wouldn't you know it, the very next day there was a drink price list sitting on the bartop! I have no idea whether this forum had anything to do with it or whether they simply managed to find their missing price list. So, on this upcoming trip, I'm wondering what I'll find. Will there be a price list waiting for me, or will I get to save my money? (I'm not much of a drinker anyway.) You would think that with all those hot guys walking around in towels and casually waving their erections around, my attention would be focused elsewhere. But what can I say? The job I love is in procurement! Haha!

Here’s a helpful tip for Windows and Android users! Install Google Translate on both devices and make sure you download the Brazilian Portuguese language pack. When visiting websites in Portuguese, use Google Chrome, which can automatically translate the content into your preferred language. If you run into any difficulties, don't hesitate to ask an AI assistant for help. Simply explain the problem you're experiencing, identify the apps or devices you're using, and ask for a step-by-step solution. **And here's the best part:** If the instructions seem too complicated, just ask the AI to "explain it to me like I'm five years old." You'll be surprised how much easier technology becomes when you know how to ask f or help!

This coming trip, I am thinking of getting a sim or esim just so that I don't fill up my phone with temporary contacts. It's been years since I have been to Thailand and I still have over 100 contacts in my phone from my days of stomping around the Kingdom. For now I think I may try Vivo. The later model samsung phones allow the use of esims even if the phone takes a physical sim card. Vivo launches 5G eSIM plan for tourists ⋆

Joe Biden issued 806 individual pardons during his presidency, according to the Justice Department’s final clemency statistics. He also issued 4,165 commutations, which reduce sentences but are not pardons. There is an important complication: Biden also issued categorical pardons by proclamation, particularly for certain federal marijuana offenses and certain former service members convicted under an old military law. Those people are not included in the DOJ's 806 individual-pardon figure, so the total number of people who benefited from pardons is larger than 806. Biden family members pardoned: 6 Biden pardoned six members of his own family: 1. Hunter Biden, his son, on December 1, 2024. 2. James B. Biden, his brother. 3. Sara Jones Biden, James Biden's wife. 4. Valerie Biden Owens, his sister. 5. John T. Owens, Valerie's husband. 6. Francis W. "Frank" Biden, his brother. The final five were pardoned as Biden was leaving office in January 2025. The official presidential record confirms all five names and Biden's statement explaining his decision. Hunter's separate December pardon is also recorded in the presidential clemency records. So, in short: 806 individual pardons, including 6 members of Biden's family, plus thousands of commutations and additional people covered by categorical pardons. If you'd like, I can also break down exactly who Biden pardoned during his final 48 hours in office, including Fauci, Milley, the January 6 committee members, and his family.
