I honestly do not know the visa type he is on. But, he has to leave to get a stamp and return. I don't know much about visas for family. He does have a Thai wife and children.

There are tons of people who work in Thailand and get work permits and are non-Thai. If you own your own business, you can get a work permit. I have friends also on visa for family but they have to leave the country. However, now, they cannot even do a visa run without 14 day quarantine. Things are not going to be easy for anyone right now.

I have friends moving to Thailand and have approved work permits. But, they are stuck in Chicago as the embassy is not certifying them for travel. The government laid out a process but this process is slow and not going to go fast for anyone. For those thinking of visiting, you need to wait until the government explains to all the consulates and embassies around the world how to follow the protocol laid out for them. Also, even if they were given clearance, air tickets through South Korea (Delta) have been cancelled 3 times. It is not easy to get to Thailand from USA right now. At least for multiple people I know.

You have companies like Netflix who are going to do great. Amazon has been great. The world is right now a digital world and tech stocks will be OK. Brick and Mortar stores are going to suffer and I see so many closing. It has already started happening in the USA. Friends from NYC are saying so many business are going out of business.But, they are Mom and Pop stores. You know what happens when they go out, bigger ones come in and take over. I am not good with these things, but I see a switch in the base and not a depleted base.

I don't see a collapse. I don't think the government will allow that to happen. At least before the election. Yes, I put 10 times more than I had. But, I put them in companies that I believe will do well in the next year like pharmacy, health, energy.

Sure. As the stocks dipped to low levels, I put in 10x what I once invested in the stock market. I chose carefully and am in for the long haul. There are many stocks that will rebound after the recovery and for anyone in for the long run, you aren't going to loose your money. I hope. Also, many stocks are doing better in Covid19.

It truly wasn't bad. The face shields made them entirely visible. A face mask would cover their face up. But, the shields allowed for full view. Now, in Super A, they did have on face masks. It was hard to tell what they looked like. But, buy a whiskey for them all and they take them off to drink. Problem solved!

True. But, I like the new gay area just as well. The gogo bars are nicer IMHO. Lots of seats and mostly new. I don't like they are mixed in with all the lady bars but I'm OK with it. It seems more of them are turning gay. I also don't like the cars going down the Soi. But, I do like the bar sets up a bit more. Also, no place to watch boys go by like before.

I did not get over to Soi 4. They had some guys there. But, I was headed to a bar around the corner from Mango Tree. It had about 14 guys there but none on stage. I always forget the name as no big sign there. I think it is called Super A. That is exactly the word I was looking for!

I went to the gay bar area tonight. Most places are still closed. The two gogo bars open in the area were Hot Male and DreamBoys. Hot Male had about 15 guys working and they had some customers. They are practicing social distancing at least by putting red x's on the seats. Boys had plastic face shields. Dreamboys has one boy on stage so I didn't try it. There were several beer bars open but they were very slow and not many customers. A walk from that area to Tawan was so quiet as no street vendors and no one begging me to come in for massage. A soft opening for sure, but look like some places are starting to try to open back up.

I am glad you are back and posting. Your voice was missed. But, to clarify, I believe what I said was I was not going to ban a poster because other posters wanted me to. And, it is ironic, that the biggest issue was with the person that this entire thread is about. That is the true troll and the person who created over 30 names over the years to reek havoc. I realize you and he were friendly, but I will never regret taking Rockhard's side against him. Running a board is not easy. But, one thing I know, is that one person that has caused more issues over the last 15 years does not get preferential treatment. And, I have lost many posters over the year because people threaten to leave if they want someone banned and I don't ban them. I just don't do it. I never have and I never will. I want a variety of voices and opinions and I feel every site needs them. But, make no mistake, I'll ban anyone I think (with probability) is the person creating so many names over the years.

I think it is definitely a two way street. The one thing I always ask for is honesty. I can forgive anything else. But, honesty is important. Also, let me just say, when any relationship starts with money, it will always be about money. I know people will say their boy is different and not with my guy. But, I stand by that 100%.

I told him what he lost out on. But, have no intent on spanking him. BTW: I didn't consider myself a victim. I knew from the moment he brought up his father's accident 2 days before rent was due where it was going. I gave him the "loan" knowingly and knowing the outcome. It saved me more money in the end as I don't normally like a regular all the time and I didn't know how to let him down easy. Worth it for me!

Yes, it was a "loan" to pay for his father's funeral. Yes, I could have let him offer to pay off in time but I'd never trust someone who went through such an elaborate scheme to get money from someone. Just like he should never trust someone who would set up a fake LINE account, message him and ask for a date saying we had met at a bar just to test if he were in the same city when he was supposed to be in Chiang Mai. So, I don't think another meeting would be good for either of us. Trust and verify. But, never give money unless you are willing to loose it. IMHO

In the end, I thought if it was true and he had no one to turn to to help, I won't be able to sleep. 5,000 baht was a small price to pay for my guilty conscience if there was a real issue. I gave him 2500x2 times per week. So, the money just didn't add up for me but it was the end of the month and rent was coming due. However, I knew when I saw him the day his dad died and he told him that his dad had a motorcycle accident. I knew at that point. But, knowing and knowing are different.

Yep, all complete bullshit. The funeral. The trip. Everything. But, not smart on his end. I was seeing him 2 times a week for 2500. He got 5k for "the funeral." I caught him in the lie and he is now blocked. Yes, I loose out on seeing him but I am OK with that and it saves me money in the long run. But, the extent he went through to show me photos of the funeral, the flight info, etc. was amazing. Very planned out. I am sure I was the first one that he ever prepared all this info for.

So, he sent me photos from his father's funeral. Nice lad. He flew to Chiang Mai (emergency) and needed money for family. He will be there for a week. But, he forgot we met on Grindr and I watched him over the last 2 days log in 6 miles from me. So, I created a new LINE account and messaged him and tried to book him for a date in Bangkok tonight (although still in Chiang Mai). Guess if he was actually in Chiang Mai or is willing to meet a new date tonight in Bangkok?
