  1. LOL. Well, I am just so happy that he spends so much time here! It makes me happy to know he loves reading all the threads. We do appreciate his support.
  2. >I'll explain it all to you OZ right after you decide on your >next destination. :+ Now, that is a conundrum.
  3. >Agreed Deej. The COI is always a concern. Also this >situation has been discussed before at M4M and as I recall if >an escort was a paying client hiring another escort it was >accepted. If the escort reviewer was playing on someone >else's dime, it wasn't. OK Barry. Ok Deej. I am a bit slow. All these letters are getting confusing for me. COI, M4M, ISTR, MC. Perhaps I need a new stickie for my computer to keep track of it all. It took me a week to find out what ROFL and TIT stands for.
  4. >There isn't a "win-win" situation here. Someone will >always squeal. Deej, You are right. It is not a win-win situation. For me, a win-win situation is choosing between Taboo in Montreal and Future Boys in Bangkok. Now, that is a win-win situation.
  5. >Its rare that an >escort would actually hire another escort. I don't really think this is the case. When I ran an escort agency many moons ago, I told all my guys to hire at least once. That way, they would know what it is like to be on the other end of the stick. I know many escorts who hire and I also have a very good friend in NYC who has escorted for MANY years. He is also a well-known porn star. He hires weekly. He is in great shape and sexy. He says it is a lot easier to hire than to go to a bar. I know of escorts who are hired by 18 year olds. It is not often, but it does happen. Again, I had a friend in NYC who one of his regulars was an NYU student. He went to the boy's dorm room oten. While, I don't think all escort hire. I do think it is a good idea for them to try it at least once.
  6. >to become a contributing member of this community but I guess >it's been decided here that escorts aren't eligible to submit >reviews > >Oh well. You can contribue in many ways Scott. May I ask, how many reviews did you submit at M4M?
  7. Scott, Thanks for the post. We welcome you and hope you post more often. You are young. We learn as life ages us. I wish I knew what I know now when I was your age. If all my comments I made when I was your age were taken as law and unchangeable, I would not have survived. When you put yourself in the spotlight, many will talk. Many will say good things and many will say horrible things. It is part of being in the limelight. Don't let anything anyone says get you down. Do your job well. Life your life to your own happiness and don't worry about the rest. I go to bed each night with a smile on my face. I love my life and I have great fun every day. If I let the RockHard’s of the world get me down, I would be throwing a pity party often. I don’t. Why? He is insignificant to my life or me. I actually find him (or her) amusing in the way he plays his games with the minds of others. My feelings are not hurt with what he or others say. Many need to put others down to feel better themselves. Many need to make others appear inferior. It has always been that way and always will. You are intelligent and sexy. Many will envy you. Many will hate you. But, don’t let Rico or Rick or Roger Rabbit or anyone get to you. Read the words; shake your head and then move on. Not easy to do, but possible. ? Hugs, Oz
  8. LOL I have been accused of being a conspiracy theorist in the last week. So, I have decided to take the Oliver Stone approach. Your post gave me another chance for enlightenment. You seem to have a grasp on Rockhard. I don't think he is a new poster. It seems to me that he has been around for a while. What other characters does he play?

I think it comes built into every Mac. I love it. When I open my browners, it gives me all the newest news from a varitey of places and I can choose to click them or not. It also tells me the latest ITunes offerings etc. I have enjoyed having it a great deal. Speaking of Mac. Did you see their latest Quad Intel computer? That is fucking awsome!
  10. Your words were perfect. I hope all reads and heeds. Oz
  11. >But SA has constantly told us how he doesn't escort for the >money, he doesn't need it. For him it is fun, something to do, >a Hobby. Really? My apologies to you and to Scott. I really did not mean to offend him. As for me, I'll stick to knitting. I made this great afgan last week. It is a beautiful rainbow of colors.,
  12. >Find out if he Sucks as well as he Sucks up on the other site >and let us know.;-) Jesse, are you up to the task?
  13. A lot has to do with point of origin. When I book from Thailand to USA, it is about half of what the same trip costs coming the other way. What I did last time was book a one way and then when I got to Thailand, I got my return. If you use NWA, if you get a full coach fare, you can always change the dates for it. This only works well if you go over a few times a year. If you are ever trying to get upgrades on NWA you can always try 2-3 days in advance of a possible trip and they work. I usually book that way as most of the business class is booked until Toyota releases the seats. I always have luck 2 days before departure. Cathay Pacific has great deals going over there as well. I noticed that Singapore Air had great prices on Business Seats and the Thai Air has nice Premium Economy on its non-stop from NYC. It is 17 hours so not sure worth it for many but I want to try it one day. As for me, I am trying to decide between Brazil, Spain or Mexico as my next adventure.

    >What's the income generated for the owners of this site? And >the others that they own? The income generated from this site to date has been zero. The revenue generated from others sites I own is substantially more than zero. I hope this helps solve the mystery. Seriously, running a website is a business. It is much like the restaurant business. Many people dream of opening a website one day and making it the most popular in town. Most fail at it. There are thousands of sites that open up every day. There are about as many that close or just stay in cyber void. It is not as easy as most think and it is not as cheap as most think. To date, we have put in well over 75k in this site. Do we hope for a pay off one day? Of course. What happens if we don't get one? We keep going with the site as is. We hope to make money but if we don't, we are ready to live with that as an end result as well. For me, this was more something I felt I needed to do than something I had to do to make a living. Yes, we hope to make money. Yes, we are prepared if we don't. Yes, we will keep the site going in either case. Were you looking to invest? Oz
  15. After a long, over-one-year, battle between the estate and Daddy, it looks like the stand off has concluded. I am sure that the estate got what it wanted out of the past year. I am also sure that Daddy also got what he wanted from the past year. It seems to me that both parties got what they wanted in the end. The people that are screwed are the guys that put the content into the site without knowing what was happening behind the scenes. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I don’t believe Dick Cheeny had anything to do with 9/11. I don’t think Elvis is alive. However, for anyone not to believe that this was not planned all along, you are not living in reality. Within 24 hours of Hoo’s death, the battle began. It was quick to commence. Many parties were involved and they eventually drifted away. I was one of the parties. I knew from day 1 what was to transpire. I knew as I heard it with my own ears. I have said this before and I will say it again, nothing that went on here should surprise anyone. Daddy now has over a years worth of reviews. He has his own domain name that was registered over a year ago. He has an active user base and an active escort e-mail base. He has all the roots to make a successful business. However, if you honestly thought there were motivations involved here based on a friendship or love for the dead, you are misguided. Money is the key factor that motivates people around the world. When Hooboy died, he left a very valuable commodity. People have been sucking it dry every since. When the site was closed, I made a last ditch attempt to purchase the name from the estate. I made a very generous offer as well as an offer to just rent the forward of the domain name. A representative for the estate responded: The estate “does not wish to sell or forward the M4M domain name now or anytime in the future. (It) wishes to keep the name and will not allow anyone use of it.” Perhaps money is not the motivating factor behind the decision. Perhaps a sense of rest is needed for those involved. Perhaps, it was solely a business decision. Perhaps it was one that just brought closure to them. I don’t know what the reason behind their decision was. I don’t know what Daddy’s decision not to renew the ISP agreement was. I am not privy to their thoughts or motivations. All I can see is the result. Perhaps now, many will be able to sit back and take a different look at the whole situation. As I said to those involved in the estate yesterday, I did not envy them. I would hate to have been involved in what they were the past year. I do not envy Daddy, as I would not have wanted to be in his shoes the last year either. As Doc Severinsen said, “Well, the thought came to me that, for many of us who did this show, and for many people who watched the show, just because Johnny left there, didn't give them the closure they needed. But I would say that his passing gave us that closure, because I think we all realize now that he's not coming back.” I think that the site being down brings the closure that many needed but that none wanted. HooBoy’s Male Escort Review has made the transition to History. Oz
  16. >Ultimately we are all >interested in the escorts and their reviews and not pissing >contests with other old men! Yes, I totally agree. Also, my mother always told me, "never get into a pissing contest with a skunk." Rarely do I loose my temper online or in person. It happens. But, not too often. When it does, you bet your bottom dollar that I was fed up with something. You are right Lucky. We are all interested in the escorts and the reviews. That is why I was always loyal to Hooboy and his site. That is why I travel as much as I do. That is why I post new people when I find them. That is why the site was started. Marc Anthony taught me a long time ago, when you meet a nice guy just starting out, you review him to let him make more money and to let other people meet him as well. Many people find a new guy and want to keep silent to keep the boy to themselves. Without people like Marc, TY, KYTop, SilverDollar and many others, I would not have met some wonderful people I have met. When NYObserver was doing his posts on M4M, I was always in attendance to try to find out if there was a new guy dancing at the Gaity. When some of the guys from the South of the Border forum posted about some new guy that was hot, I was always standing in attention ready to listen. Many people contributed to a community. You are one of them Lucky. We have not always seen eye to eye and we will not always see things the same way. That is what is so great about a message board. It lets you hear others peoples thoughts and reactions to things. It is a buffer before a new experience. It is sound bit for a new adventure. Thanks to M4M I was able to get information on my first trip to Brazil and my first to Thailand. Firecat introduced me to the only guy I see everyday when I am in Montreal. Marc introduced me to a boy that practically lived with me in NYC for 2 years. Tri was able to share with me about Brazil and argue with me about what a sauna boy should be paid. Not all experiences were great but all were a learned adventure. When all of the above is accomplished through one site, you have to give credit where it is due. Hooboy's site helped me to live some of my greatest adventures and meet some of my best friends. Hopefully, this site will allow me the opportunity to continue with that adventure. And, hopefully, it will be a site without all the men pissing at or on each other. (On the boards anyway, if that is your fetish, it is ok ) Asparagus! Oz
  17. >A gem? Yes... a good analogy. I've always said that twinks >are attracted to the most shiny object in their line of sight. > And Oz is the twinkmaster. haha. Thanks Marc. Perhaps I should reveal that the shiny object is some a pair of diamond studded glasses I purchased in Italy. There are at least 20 nice stones on each side. The shine is amazing isn't it? But, please don't tell anyone that I got them in Italy and had the diamonds put on in the night market in Bangkok. Some may begin to suspect that the diamonds are not really diamonds. Also, I was in Montreal with you last week. It seemed to me that all the boys flocked around you and not me. Did you sneak into my purse and borrow anything shinny? Thank you Sin Say
  18. >Though a regular lurker Wonderful! Was that you perchance lurking inside my hotel room last week in Montreal. I tried to motion you to come in. There is never any need to stay outside in the rain. Especially when it was 25 stories up. jk Welcome and please feel free to lurk, post, laugh and learn. Oz
  19. >Scott Adler refers to this site as "inferior" in the >old message center that remains Virginia Woolf summed it up nicely: “Without self-confidence we are as babes in the cradles. And how can we generate this imponderable quality, which is yet so invaluable most quickly? By thinking that other people are inferior to oneself. “ I do not now, nor have I ever thought MER was inferior to M4M. In business, it is always good to have alternatives. If there is only one store to buy at, that does not benefit the consumers. Scott has a role to play at M4M. He said that the majority of his work came from there. His livelihood depends on it. I can’t fault him for trying to do everything in his power to get the source of cash flow back into his pockets. Gucci and Prada are expensive. And, lord only knows how much those hairdressers in WeHo are. There is plenty of room for 2 sites, or 3 sites or even 20 sites. Competition is good for all. It is good for the escorts, it is good for clients and it is good for the owners. TY and I are putting a great deal of time, effort and energy into this site. Since our ads have been running this week on Cruisingforsex.com and MenOnTheNet.com, our hits keep going up. The other site being closed made our numbers go up. When Daddy opens another site, our numbers will still go up. Why? Because the more that is out there the more interest there is in escorting. The more interest, the more hits. It really does benefit us all. Ty and I are dedicated to staying in here for the long haul. We will keep pouring money into advertising. We will put money into other things. We will keep busting our Asses everyday to make sure things get done fast and responses to e-mails and posts are expedient. We do this because we are committed to the project and we want it to succeed. Hoo made tons of money off the site but that is NOT why he started it. He started it to build a community of like minded individuals who wanted to communicated about one of his favorite subjects; escorts. We became friends, as that is also one of my favorite subjects. We stayed friends because we had other things in common. I hope this site gets business for some escorts and I hope that clients get the information that is needed. We will keep trying to be the best we can be and make the site even better! And to Scott, I assure you that we will one day have more quality reviews than any other site. If you are a betting man, give me a shout and we can place a wager.
  20. Check this out, it looks like a great new hotel! http://hotels.travelzoo.com/international-hotels/252736
  21. >Well, I don't know about being a gem but he is this nice in >person, actually... ;-) > >BG Thank you. My mother always told me to be nice. It is the southern way!
  22. >HooBoy died Mar 3, 2005 > >Daddysreviews.com domain was registered on March 19, 2004. >Almost a full year before HooBoys death. My goodness man. Can't you see it? Both of these events occured in March. There is only 16 days seperating the days between these events in March. 6 is a very important number. March is the third month. 3 is half of 6. It is now 2006. Another 6. OMG Are you blind? Why can't you see the pieces to the puzzle? Oz PS. When I just viewed the topic, there were 6 posts. The topic was viewed 66 times. Another coincidence? I think not!
  23. Yes, I did. Sorry. BostonGuy said: "Nicely said... (seems like I've been saying that to you a lot recently!) It is sad, in a way, but life moves on. It was clear from the beginning to any careful observer, that it was about money and business. There's nothing wrong with that at all: it's what drives most of the things we do each day, from the goods we consume (including literally) to the services we use or provide or the entertainment we seek. I've always wished Daddy good luck in his venture. I know that some others haven't felt that way, but I have never been privvy to any details or information that would make me change my mind. And so I wish him luck, just as I would wish any new enterprise luck. Running a business can be a lot of work, even for experienced people, and many businesses don't succeed. I hope his does. From that point of view, not publicizing the new domain name much, much earlier may have been a strategic mistake. Something like 600 people have logged into the new Message Center since its inception. One has to think that there are probably a couple thousand more who have just lurked. But those numbers are a far cry from the traffic that I think M4M used to generate on a daily basis. He has to be hoping that a lot of people saw the new URL before the M4M domain was parked. But perhaps he has a publicity campaign in place or other tricks up his sleeve. Perhaps he's willing to just be patient and let it grow; there are worse strategies. But the fact that the new domain name wasn't publicized earlier makes me wonder if you are correct in thinking that all that has unfolded in the last few days was actually planned in advance. Perhaps the timing, at least, was a surprise." BG Thanks BG, I don't think it was so much a surprise. Remember 90 days is not a good number for a surprise. I think it had more to do with not wanting to step on legal toes and make matters more difficult for any party involved. Just IMHO. Oz

  25. I can’t say that I really know what one is personally. However, I have seen some out there and have always been impressed with the ones that are able to keep them. On a recent trip to my family, I looked around and saw most of my relatives in very stable marriages. My sibling has been married for over 15 years and they are still best friends and romantic. My longest relationship has been 5 years. My longest period of monogamy is 5 months. After that, we seemed to go in different directions when it came to other sexual partners. Most of the gay long term partners I have met have made rules that keep them together. Some vacation separately a few times a year and don’t discuss partners. Some have threesomes. Some are just OK with their partner doing what they want with other guys as long as their friendship is top priority. And, still others I know say it is ok for their partner to sleep around as long as it is for money and an escort. What keys, if any, do you think there are for a LTR?
