  1. This bar in Pattaya is one of the best-run bars I have seen. I have never been into the bar when I wasn't greeting with a hundred smiles. The boys there are nice and sweet. The waiters are friendly and the mamasans are helpful and knowledgeable. I find that this bar really does raise the bar when it comes to atmosphere. They have TV's on both sides of the bar with music video on part of them and a video stream of the boys dancing on the others. The drinks are reasonably prices and nice amount of liquor. It is a small bar but very tastefully done. Jimm Jimmy James, Corner Bar, Crazy Dragon, Kaos and the new Clubber bars are truly taking Sunee Plaza out of a darker area to a more hip, stylish arena.
  2. I have had several problems with dishwashers, electricity and etc. I find that getting anything done in Pattaya is a total pain in the ass. I can't seem to get anyone to show up and fix problems. I want to hire a DoItAll man who can take care of anything I have a problem with. Anyone know of a service like this in Pattaya?

    Thailand Coup

People from USA are allowed to enter Thailand without a Visa for 30 days. If you stay longer, you need to either go to the Immigration Office and request an extension or go to another country to get another 30 days. You are only allowed to do this for 90 days now. Previously, you were able to do it indefinitely. If you stay is less than 90 days, you have no problem. However, you will not be able to return to Thailand for another 90 days without going to a Thai Embassy or Consulate and pay for a Visa stamp. That is often a 60 days stamp. The new law is really only aimed at keeping people from living and working here without the proper documentation. This does not affect me, as I don't stay here on Tourist Visa for more than 30 days. It does not affect anyone over 50 who want to live here as they can easily get a retirement visa. It does not affect business owners as they can apply for a work permit. It does not affect those have money as they can buy a special Thai Elite Card. It does effect those that are under 50 and want to live here year round. www.thaivisa.com and the forums there are the best source for visa info. I hope this helps. And, yes, you do need to come here in Dec.

    Thailand Coup

Currently the situation in Thailand is up in the air. All TV programming has been taken offline with the exception of the Thai stations, which are playing a constant loop of photos and music in tribute to the King. Today has been called a national holiday and all banks and government offices are closed. Tanks are in the streets in Bangkok and traffic is closely monitored. There have been rumors of this coup for weeks. It came as no shock to anyone that lives in Thailand. The Thai people I have spoken to are happy about this and not sad. I do not think many realize the impact it may have. Recently, the government issued new orders for tourists arriving on a Visa On Demand. They have limited those to 90 days within any 180 days. This means the boarder runs for someone to live here permanently are now finished. However, who knows what will happen with this policy now. The military has been called to action and the people are being told this will not last long. The US government advices people not to visit here till things settle down. They do not recommend that visitors that are currently in Thailand leave. This may change. People currently have access to the Internet. As all TV and Satellite are offline, I am not sure how long Internet will last. As I can't sit in front of CNN today, I am off to the beach. Hey, what else can I do?
  5. The bitter back and forth between myself and others on Daddy’s site is finished. It has been a very long period of time since Hooboy died and it is time to move on. It is not only unproductive to get into these little verbal spars with members on the other site but it is destructive for the integrity of this site. I do not apologize for anything I have said. I do however apologize for loosing focus. The focus should have been on moving the site forward instead of keeping it on a path which only history will be able to describe. Unfortunately, those who are the most vocal instead of those who have intelligence on the true story often shape history. If you scream loud enough and long enough, people start to believe. I kept quite too long in the beginning. I have now said my peace. I am now moving toward the future and away from the past. One of the things I hated about Hoo’s message center was all the nutty drama queens who only bitched and moaned about everything possible. I hope I have not become one of them. If so, I will have to get out and have a few wild nights to shake my system back into shape. Hooboy had a site. He died. The site died. We are here to carry on with his vision. Best of luck to Rock/Daddy/Deej in their future. Oz
  6. PS. My favorite Rockhard quote ever is: "Smarter, more professional businessmen would have kept their mouth shut." LOL Thanks Rock. The advice from a very successful businessman like yourself is much appreciated.
  7. >There must be a few guys here who have like flexibility in >their hours. If so how do you sleep at nights? I can't seem to >do it anymore. I find a bowl of cereal with milk puts me to sleep. Also, a Tylonol PM works like a magic wand. And, the touch of my new boyfriend and the smell of his freshly showered body both excites and relaxes me.
  8. My friend is worried about the new regulations. He wants to open a bar in Thailand and is proceeding with that. I have suggested he consider a different business but he insists this is what he wants. He said the legal paper to set up a company and to get a work permit is 85,000 bath. Is this about right? I have no idea myself and have not really researched this at all. Thanks.,
  9. Marc, You are a very wise man. You see the bigger picture in most things. As you know, I wanted to work with TY on this site because he has all the characteristics you described above. Unfortunately, I lean more toward the Hooboy way. I love my friends and want them to succeed. I would most likely do the same that Daddy has done. However, I have a voice in my ear from TY that prohibits any conflicts from arising. It really is so easy to be partial. I am glad that TY is on board and I do not deal with any of the Reviews or any of the advertising. That is all his prevue. My job is easy, I approve new photos and new escorts based on the parameters TY gave me. We do not have advertisers yet. Can we get them? Easy. I knew a few website owners who I am sure would jump at the chance for a special deal. However, we have not strayed from our posted rates or policy.

    Obsessed??

Oliver, Like you, there are many sites that I use to find what I want. Currently, I find this site, gaydar.co.uk, gayromeo.com and men4rentnow.com the most useful. I have found guys from all of those sites that I enjoy and have had good experiences with. When I was in NYC, I found Rentboy always had the freshest faces and used them many times. When I was in Brazil, I was lucky enough to find some boys who knew all the Brazilian sites and we played with several boys we met online down there. I don’t think anyone should limit his choices to only one site. I don’t think that you should have to choose between this site and Daddy’s new site. The Hooboy site that I grew to love disappeared and we decided to keep it going. Daddy did the same thing. Both sites want to pick up where Hoo left off. Neither site was blessed with any content, assistance or help from the estate. They refused anyone permission to the domain name, old reviews and message board. They have the right to do this and they have exercised that right. I have wished Daddy and Deej the best in their joint venture. I do hope that it succeeds. I believe that the success of that site will only increase the success of this site and Vice Versa. We all share a common background. That is the Hooboy site. Both sites have valuable contributors on them. Both sites will work to promote the world of escorting and this only benefits escorts and clients. I am glad you are here Oliver and I hope you actively participate. We do appreciate you and all others who are here. We pledge not to take advantage of the trust you have given to us and to work hard to create a site that all can be proud of and that those that really knew Hooboy can say, “he would be proud.”
  11. What a story. Crazy. I don't know how you kept your cool. I have had a few instances there I was cheated in establishments. It is never a good feeling. I hate it most when in gay places as I often go there to support them when times are tough. I had a bar try to overcharge me by one or two drinks everytime I went in. I had then take the extra drinks off the bin and refused to pay. After 3 times of this, I have not been back to that bar in Boyztown in over 8 months. It was my favorite stop at the end of the night to watch the show but not now. I have never had someone hold my passport. That would be nerve wrenching.
  12. I just read the posting here about DaddysReviews. I also read the message center over there. All I will say is that I much prefer someone rational like Rico over Rockhard any day of the week. With his last post, Rock really does tell a great deal about himself in the post and it is really nice to see an old friend back in true form. For someone who only joined the site after Hoo’s death, he sure knows a lot about the site and the personalities there beforehand. Am I the only one that thinks it is odd that he reappeared just as Daddy and Deej got the site together? I actually was not going to comment on the site other than to say that I wish them all well. However, when I read that they were actually going to use the reviews predating Hoo’s death, I decided against it. I assume this would only happen if they knew the estate would not get into a very costly battle with the estate property. I know it is not that they have permission from the estate, so I hope that they do not use that material. Like Daddy, I too have all those reviews and if it is public information for others outside the estate to use then perhaps there is a place for the archives here as well. Lastly, Rockhard keeps bringing up that I made public information about the estate. What a joke this is. If you honestly thought you would steal the site and not get called out on it, you were wrong. If things had ever been on the up and up, I would have kept my mouth shut. However, they were not. I refused to keep quiet and not share information about people plundering my friends intellectual property. I refused then. I do so now. I will never keep silent about it. Rock is just lucky I did not share all I know about the situation and the BS behind the scenes. The only things I ever spoke about publicly needed to be said. Many things I know that happened with the estate and Daddy I did not reveal. I will only say that even I (who many see as evil incarnate) was disgusted by the madness of the grave robbers.
  13. Wow. What a great experience. The owner really went all out and was very attentative to EVERY detail. Excellent place. Great food. Wonderful companions.

  15. LOL. Well, I do suspect that both GayButton and I are just rising and starting the day. May I infer that you my dear have not yet laid down for a good night's sleep?
  16. Dear GayButton, And just what were you doing cruising Jomptien Complex at 5:00AM in the morning.
  17. Ernesto's was packed on Sunday night. I did not get a chance to go but had friends there and they said the food was excellent. Ernesto's is done by the same guys that did the old Ole in Day/Night 2. They have a Wednesday night Buffet that is excellent. 18. An interesting story in the Washington Post today. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6091500923.html The ID Chip You Don't Want in Your Passport By Bruce Schneier Saturday, September 16, 2006; Page A21 If you have a passport, now is the time to renew it -- even if it's not set to expire anytime soon. If you don't have a passport and think you might need one, now is the time to get it. In many countries, including the United States, passports will soon be equipped with RFID chips. And you don't want one of these chips in your passport. RFID stands for "radio-frequency identification." Passports with RFID chips store an electronic copy of the passport information: your name, a digitized picture, etc. And in the future, the chip might store fingerprints or digital visas from various countries. By itself, this is no problem. But RFID chips don't have to be plugged in to a reader to operate. Like the chips used for automatic toll collection on roads or automatic fare collection on subways, these chips operate via proximity. The risk to you is the possibility of surreptitious access: Your passport information might be read without your knowledge or consent by a government trying to track your movements, a criminal trying to steal your identity or someone just curious about your citizenship. At first the State Department belittled those risks, but in response to criticism from experts it has implemented some security features. Passports will come with a shielded cover, making it much harder to read the chip when the passport is closed. And there are now access-control and encryption mechanisms, making it much harder for an unauthorized reader to collect, understand and alter the data. Although those measures help, they don't go far enough. The shielding does no good when the passport is open. Travel abroad and you'll notice how often you have to show your passport: at hotels, banks, Internet cafes. Anyone intent on harvesting passport data could set up a reader at one of those places. And although the State Department insists that the chip can be read only by a reader that is inches away, the chips have been read from many feet away. The other security mechanisms are also vulnerable, and several security researchers have already discovered flaws. One found that he could identify individual chips via unique characteristics of the radio transmissions. Another successfully cloned a chip. The State Department called this a "meaningless stunt," pointing out that the researcher could not read or change the data. But the researcher spent only two weeks trying; the security of your passport has to be strong enough to last 10 years. This is perhaps the greatest risk. The security mechanisms on your passport chip have to last the lifetime of your passport. It is as ridiculous to think that passport security will remain secure for that long as it would be to think that you won't see another security update for Microsoft Windows in that time. Improvements in antenna technology will certainly increase the distance at which they can be read and might even allow unauthorized readers to penetrate the shielding. Whatever happens, if you have a passport with an RFID chip, you're stuck. Although popping your passport in the microwave will disable the chip, the shielding will cause all kinds of sparking. And although the United States has said that a nonworking chip will not invalidate a passport, it is unclear if one with a deliberately damaged chip will be honored. The Colorado passport office is already issuing RFID passports, and the State Department expects all U.S. passport offices to be doing so by the end of the year. Many other countries are in the process of changing over. So get a passport before it's too late. With your new passport you can wait another 10 years for an RFID passport, when the technology will be more mature, when we will have a better understanding of the security risks and when there will be other technologies we can use to cut the risks. You don't want to be a guinea pig on this one. Bruce Schneier writes often on security subjects.
  19. LOL I don't even have a new cell phone myself. I did see a new SonyEricson at Tutcom today and it was amazing. It is the P990i. A hand held masterpiece. Sad but true. At least it was an older woman so it makes the story believable in my mind.
  20. Thanks for the reply. I have never felt trapped in a woman's body. On the other hand, I do find that I enjoy things most would consider masculine and feminine. I enjoy many things in life that most associate with gender. I had a great Brazilian boyfriend for a long time. He was very masculine and very sexy. He had a huge 9 inch cock. He enjoyed sex with both males and females. I kept asking him when we first got together if he was gay. His response was he is just who is his. Sometimes he likes men and sometimes he likes ladies. He didn't want to get hung up on labels or stereotypes. I have always respected him for that. I think too often even we gay men get hung up on roles and who does what and how. I think much more fun is to go with the flow and if it feels good, just enjoy it. I had 2 boyfriends over last week for a three-way. One was a very masculine boy and the other was a ladyboy. Both were sexy in their own way. What I found most interesting is that the masculine one smoked the ladyboy. After everything was over, I asked him about it and said most Thai boys would not do that. He said, I love her and she likes it. Perfect answer to a question I should not have asked.
  21. Thank you for the excellent review. I am planning on trying this place early week. Your review helps to keep the excitement alive. Thanks. As someone who does not often enjoy these expensive meals, I was a little surprised at the final bill. I guess I'll have to take the plunge and try it anyway. Thank you for the great post.
  22. I have found that as my age progresses, I get more versatile as the time goes by. When I first came out, I was a bottom only and hated to top. I then went through a stage where I only wanted to be a top, which lasted for 10 years (the stage not the actual act). Now, I find myself more versatile and it all really depends on the guy I am with. With one boy, I only want oral as he is simple the best there is. With one boy I only want to be the top as he obviously gay and into it. With one guy I only want to let him take charge and be the "man." I have found that I enjoy a bit of everything with the different guys. I have one guy I have taken many times and I only want to cuddle with him at night. For me, I hate cuddling so to enjoy it with one is a true treat. Do you find that with age, you grow more able to adapt to more situations than before? Or, is the reverse true? And, do you find that you need different guys to full-fill different things in your life? versatile |?v?rs?tl| adjective 1 able to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities : a versatile sewing machine | he was versatile enough to play either position. 2 archaic changeable; inconstant.
  23. Hey Scoop, what is the address for this place. I know where it is at but don't know the names of all those roads. Also, a truck? You must be kidding. I gave up those years ago when I turned in my NRA badge and my official Redneck membership. However, if you would spring for an SUV, I am game.
  24. There are many ways to tell if your boyfriend has really gone home to mama when they leave you. I have 3 sure fire ways. 1. When they start calling you to say hello before 8AM they are either just going to bed or just waking up. If home with family, they often wake up with the sun. 2. When boy special wants you to talk to mama and you can tell her age on the phone and it is not the voice of a ladyboy. As the phone is passed, you can here in Thai, "here speak my farang." 3. When you talk to the in the AM and they don't have the normal Thai music in the background but instead you hear the roosters crowing. This is a sure fire sign that they are not in the city anymore. 4. And lastly, when they call and say, "mama want cell phone." This is normally the first 20 min they are there or the last 20 min before they return. As all 4 of the above happened this morning, I am pretty sure boy special isn't in Kansas anymore.
  25. I would never try to beat you my dear. Perhaps a little spanking at times is in order? LOL I have no idea what you are referring to. I am a lonely old boring man who never gets invited to parties. You are right. He knows his food. He was also very charming when speaking to him. A very nice man with a fun personality. As for my report, I just wanted to share what the food was actually like. It was good. The place is nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. I did scoop you one one thing, we were the first ones to sit at the table with the new menu. haha. Now, beat that. I know that some were at the place the night before as it was the VIP list. Me, I am just an old fart who never gets to go tot he good parties, especially the opening night ones. So, I am stuck testing at after the VIP's have gone. Last night was first night for real opening and with menus. It was nice.
