The Cafe Royale and the Ambiance are both in Boyztown and both nice places. The Flamingo is in Soi Day/Night and not a far distance. If you want more upscale and close to Boyztown, the Marriot is nice. If you want a nice apartment, give the Mosiak a try. http://mosaik-pattaya.com/ Go to: www.gaythailand.com www.dreadedned.com www.dragoncastle.net www.pattayagay.com All will give you tons of useful info. I agree with Fire, you need to spend more time in Pattaya if you are looking for the boys. If you are looking for culture, stay in Bangkok more.

A stellar cast. Great performances. Great story. The new movie about the Boston mob is excellent. It is now in Thailand. I think they cut out some scenes from the ones I was described by friends in the USA. But, it was still a great movie.

From Rose Arce CNN Adjust font size: TRENTON, New Jersey (CNN) -- In a decision likely to stoke the contentious election-year debate over same-sex marriage, the New Jersey Supreme Court has ruled that state lawmakers must provide the rights and benefits of marriage to gay and lesbian couples. The high court on Wednesday gave legislators six months to either change state marriage laws to include same-sex couples, or come up with another mechanism, such as civil unions, that would provide the same protections and benefits. The court's vote was 4-to-3. But the ruling was more strongly in favor of same-sex marriage than that split would indicate. The three dissenting justices argued the court should have extended full marriage rights to homosexuals, without kicking the issue back to legislators. Advocates of same-sex marriage hailed the decision, a respite from many defeats this year in courts nationwide. "That is wonderful news," said Cindy Meneghin, one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit by seven same-sex couples that prompted Wednesday's decision. "We can only hope that that means marriage, because that is the only way they can give us full equality." (Watch a couple say why they want to call their 32-year relationship marriage -- 2:01 ) Garden State Equality, a gay rights group, announced that three state legislators plan to introduce a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. In an e-mail to supporters, the chairman of the group, Steven Goldstein, vowed that only "over our dead bodies will we settle for less than 100 percent marriage equality." Gay marriage opponents promise to fight Those angered by the ruling predicted it will reinvigorate the fight in Congress for a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage nationwide. "They took the future of marriage out of the hands of the people of New Jersey," said Matt Daniels of the Alliance for Marriage, which supports the amendment. "They are holding a gun to the head of the legislature of New Jersey and saying pick between two bullets -- one that allows civil unions and one that allows marriage." Sen. Sam Brownback a leading social conservative in Congress, said the New Jersey decision "warrants swift, decisive action by Congress in the form of passage of the Marriage Protection Amendment." "Huge social changes should be decided by the people and their elected representatives and should not be forced by the courts," the Kansas Republican said in a written statement. The federal amendment, which President Bush supports, has stalled in Congress. It has so far failed to get the necessary two-thirds vote to be submitted to the states for ratification. Opponents of same-sex marriage contend the New Jersey decision could have a national impact because the state imposes no residency requirements for people seeking marriage. In essence, it could open the door for gay and lesbian couples from other states to marry in New Jersey and challenge laws against same-sex marriage in their own states. The gay marriage debate intensified in 2004 when Massachusetts became the first and only state to allow gay and lesbian couples to marry. The state does not allow nonresidents to marry there, however. Precedent in Vermont The decision mirrors the one made in 1999 by Vermont's highest court, which prompted its legislature to create civil unions for same-sex couples, with the same rights and benefits enjoyed by heterosexuals. (Opinion -- pdf) The New Jersey high court held that state laws prohibiting gay and lesbian couples from receiving the "financial and social benefits and privileges" of marriage violate the equal protection clause of the New Jersey Constitution and served no "legitimate governmental purpose." Noting that New Jersey already prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation, the high court said there was "no rational basis for giving gays and lesbians full civil rights as individuals while, on the other hand, giving them an incomplete set of rights when they enter into committed same-sex relationships." The justices wrote: "The issue is not about the transformation of the traditional definition of marriage, but about the unequal dispensation of benefits and privileges to one of two similarly situated classes of people." However, they stopped short of finding that same-sex couples have a fundamental right to marry. The ruling said the court would not "speculate" on whether legislation creating civil unions identical to marriage would pass constitutional muster "and will not presume that a difference in name is of constitutional magnitude." The justices also held that the state's domestic partnership law for same-sex couples, passed in 2004, is not an adequate substitute for marriage rights because it provides gay and lesbians with fewer benefits and rights and has more stringent requirements for establishing partnerships than for marrying. A hot button election topic The issue of gay marriage has roiled American politics for more than a decade and on November 7 voters in eight states will decide whether to amend their constitutions to ban gay and lesbian couples from marrying. Same-sex marriage advocates have suffered five high-profile court losses since July, including decisions in the high courts of New York and Washington state upholding state laws prohibiting marriage for gay or lesbian couples. State supreme courts in Nebraska and Georgia also upheld constitutional amendments outlawing same-sex marriage that had been struck down by lower courts. And earlier this month, an appellate court in California upheld the constitutionality of state laws against same-sex marriage, a decision now being appealed to the California Supreme Court. The court said the state's existing Domestic Partnership Act, similar to one adopted in several other states, including California, doesn't go far enough in protecting the rights of gay couples. Episcopal pastors Mark Harris and Denis Winslow, plaintiffs in the New Jersey suit, now have one dream to fulfill: to join the countless heterosexual couples they've married. "We see it as a civil right that we're denied," Winslow said. "Even though we pay first-class taxes, we are treated as second-class citizens. "We don't have that freedom to exercise our relationship in a practical way, dare I say, spiritual way." http://edition.cnn.com/2006/US/10/25/gay.marriage/index.html

No, I am not. I have never claimed superiority over anyone. I have friends that pay 500 baht to guys all the time. The same guys keep seeing them. But, I do think that there are different prices for different acts. We can agree to disagree but my mind won't be changed on this point. I have too many friends who are high end hookers in 1st world countries. They always charge different prices for different things as well as different amounts of time. If a boy is given 500 baht for a short time room upstairs in a bar and is back in 30 min and then given the same for over 4 hours of time, yes, there is a problem there as well. IMHO. As proven in the past, I am gullible. I like to believe people at their word. Hard to do in Thailand. But, I did believe this guy. haha. I much prefer Cheap Charlie. Rolls off my tounge easy. That was really my main point. I also hate when a new guy is not taken by the manager of a bar and told what to expect and what his rights are. It is not up to Farang. It is also up to boy. I have been told this as well. I still think the minimum should be 1,000 baht. But, that is just me and I know the majority disagree with me. You really said what I wanted to say in a much more clear way. Thanks.

The report I got yesterday was that the burned parts had been cleared out. They had a crane with a slew of workers and new board was replaced and paint was added. It may not be beautiful, but I bet it was open last night or will be very soon.

Actor TJ Knight just came out to People magazine. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061019/ap_on_...ple_t_r__knight One of the things I love about Itunes is that when I am in Thailand, I can keep up with some shows in the states. Gray's Anatomy is one of them. I am glad that it is getting easier and easier for movie and TV stars to come out of the closet. If you are into story lines about gay characters, see Desperate Housewives as the son of one of the main stars is openly gay to his family and it makes for some very interesting moments. Reading the article about TJ, I wondered if the same is true in Thailand. They don't seem to have an issue with gay. Is that the same as with their movie stars? tv stars? music stars? I ask only because I had a Farang boy (21, Univerisity student and living in Bangkok for 5 months) living with me last year. His main Bangkok date was a well know movie star but no one knew he was gay. Would there be issues with that here?

Boy Special asked me 3 days ago to go to Big C to see his mother who is in town for the day. I gave him some extra money to take her out and off he went. He called later that evening and said she wanted to spend the night and he would get her a room for the night.

Ernestos is the place to be on Wednesday nights in Pattaya. It has a great all you can eat buffet. It is a great price and a ton of food. Last night, I ordered the Pork Kebab. It was wonderful. A great sauce was presented with it. It tasted great. Ernesto's is an open air place behind Soi Sunee and adjacent to 3rd Road. It is worth a try.

I have high speed accerss from ToT. It is not realy hgh speed but it is OK for Thailand. It had not been working properly for a week. I have called them 20 times and no help. Finally, yesterday I went to TutCom and bought a new router for the ADSL. It took less than 2 min to install and then, wham, bam, I had high speed. It was not the low speed I had been getting for weeks but the high speed I was paying for. I am not sure how much had to do with the box they gave me as it was set up to their site, but now, the net is much faster and more enjoyable.

A very good idea. It is something we will talk about. Dr. Philipe does a great job with the community. When he lost his lease last year, I talked to Traveler Jim about a new building and said I was willing to make a nice contribution for the group to own a building. I let time get away from me and never really pursued it. Thanks for reminding me of a road less traveled I had forgotten.

I met a guy last night new to Pattaya. It was his second day in the city. He was sweet, spoke good English and very charming. The night before I met him it was his first night. He had never been to Pattaya and had only heard it was a place to make money. He came alone and found a bar. He was offed by a guy who is known to frequent the bars very early looking for fresh guys just

haha. Unless the gander is paying the rent. If you would like to contribute, you can have some pubs on yours as well. How about it? Say 10k baht? Make the check to Gardian Angels in Pattaya. Put in the notation field, Jim's pub donation.

Yes, perfect. I love doggies. Mine have more FFM than the Queen herself. The one in England that is, not me.

I have had it recently. It knocked me on my ass. I woke up one morning and was sick as a dog. Fever, chills, body aches, coughing, etc. I went to the hospital and got antibiotics and other meds. They take a few days to kick in. I have had many Farang friends with the same thing. I have also met at least 10 boys who have the same thing except they didn

Pete, there you go using Western logic again. You are right. There are now many bars that also charge 20 baht more for a boys drink than ours. I am OK with this As LONG As the boy gets that money. I am also OK with paying a higher off for some bars if the boys get some of that as well. Regardless of what we think, these guys have a hard job and deserve every baht they get. I am thrilled when I know a bar is taking car of them.

My doctor friend here in Pattaya thought the raise in age to 25 was crazy. He suggested that they also make a law that limits Farangs to one visit to McDonalds per visit to the Kingdom. Again not easy to enforce but healthy.

A series of unfortunate accidents for sure. Welcome back Sawatdee! May I suggest to anyone who owns names to put them on autorenew. This will save you much hassle and headache. Many names are lost this same way. Last year the name Aida.com died a similar death. It went to auction and to the highest bidder. It went for a large amount of money. The other option is to renew for longer periods of time. Most renewals now are around 10 USD per year. Renew for 5 years for only 50 USD and you don't have to think about it again for 5 years.

Hello. Yes, I can tell you. The post is now active again with full text. However, you posted an image. That image had pubic hair showing. The censors banned us for that once before and we are careful not to let that on the site. My apologies. The guy was hot though. If you send it to me via e-mail, gaythailand@gmail.com I'll raise his bathing suit a bit and repost.

Hey Buddy, Did you miss the e-mail about Deej and Rock, a midget, 2 muscle boys, a twink, 4 trannies, a clown and a hampster? My oh my. You should have subscribed to the e-mail list.

> What goes around usually comes >around, in my experience. > >I dislike hearing the word karma but I suppose I believe in it >anyway. I believe in that totally. I have been in Thailand in high season when all the farangs that live here get pissed that all the boys are not giving them attention but giving it to the short time visitors. Why? The rest of the year, they don't pay as well. And, look, it is business. One can't be offended when someone is in business trying to make the money they need. I have never had that problem with boys anywhere as I normally tip over what most do anyway so I always have an abundance of friendlieness. I believe in the old saying from Chicago, "if you do something for mama, mama do something for you." It does come back 10 fold. IMHO

>I'll see you an Oz, and raise you an Andre and a bevy of >ladyboys. > >Wouldn't that be a time? :+ > >(Sorry, forgot you don't do ladyboys. Oz and I will keep them >entertained while you and Andre...) Adam, happy to help out with the ladyboys. But, can't we keep Andre as well for even more entertainment?

Low Season in Thailand starts to pick up and the smell of high season is on the tip of the nose. There is much action all over Thailand. In Pattaya, there are more boys working the bars than you will ever been able to see in a lifetime. The bars in Sunee have started to do shows but be wary of anyone without an ID card and be smart. Boyztown has been up and down with some nights amazing and some nights just dead. The one bar that seems to have a great group all the time is Wild West Boys. They have a bit of everything in there. They also have a fun show. BoyzBoyzBoyz has its usual taste of muscle boys and they seem to keep stacking them in. Personally, I love Cayuga. It is full of life and energy and has some sexy guys there. The best mamasan in Pattaya is at Dynamite. Ask for Rose and she will take good care of you. Throb/Splash recently sold and the new owners are being introduced at the Halloween party. I hope that does not mean that they are going to be horrific. In Sunee Plaza, Jimm Jimmy James has the best selection of guys and the best-run bar. Crazy Dragon still gets along great with it table top dances and open-air briefs. I will have to say that I enjoy it there but some nights are much better than others. Why? Many of the boys are freelancers. If they don’t have a lot of customers there they don’t stay long. As high season picks up, they will get more and more boys working. The new Clubber compound is great with a gogo bar that is VERY hands on, a beer bar with a nice pool table and a good German restaurant. Monty’s Pool is now closed and no date on when someone else will take it over. Jomptien Beach area is up and coming. They don’t have gogo bars but there are always boys galore. The new restaurants are also making it a very hip place. On the way to Jomptien there are two very high-end places that are worth trying if you don’t mind paying American prices. Manhattan’s Steak House has the best steak I have had in Thailand and the Mata Hari is excellent as well. As always, Bruno’s has a great menu and is always consistent. In Jomptien Complex, try the Stone Grill and Monty’s Enchanted Hut. Both are great. There is a new 92-story condo coming to Pattaya and being built as the world’s tallest residential complex. I am not sure if it will get built or not but the prices are crazy there and a 3 bedroom is almost 1millioin USD. I saw a friends unit just finished at View Talay 5 and it is beautiful. It has an amazing balcony overlooking the ocean and the best views in Pattaya. For those of you who like the nightlife, a new place I have really enjoyed is JJ’s Pub in Soi Day/Night. It is mostly Thai customers but a few Farangs. They have a great show and it is a lot of fun. Hollywood and Xcite are still in commission and going strong. I was in Bangkok a few weeks back and had a good time. But, the drinks at many bars are 270 bath and offs are 400 bath. I much prefer the lower prices of Pattaya and Chiang Mai and Phuket. There are so many boys coming into town on a daily basis. I hope those of you that head there for the winter have a fabulous time. Don’t let he coup stop you. This is still the most amazing place to visit.

Welcome. I see your 2nd post is a doozie. Any freedom? Of course. Read over the board for the past few months. We delete very little but ask that you follow our Message Board Policy. How boring? Just because something is not a free for all, doesn't make it boring. Imagine if you walked into a gogo bar and it was the boys only got on stage when they wanted and only worked when they wanted and only wore the clothes they wanted. Perhaps not boring but certaintly a better way was found. Most people don't come to these board to listen to a few people bicker back and forth with themselves. Most are looking for information. Most are here for a sense of common ground that the community offers. We all love Thailand. We want to promote others to come here and enjoy in the beauty that is offered here. I for one am not on any board to listen to a few guys have a pissing contest.
-
Let me add, I don't know what happened at the other site. All are welcome here. We have said that in the past and we will say that now. All we ask is that you play by our rules. We strive for a good site that gives useful information. We are not interested in personal attacks and bickering back and forth. There are still other sites one can go to for that. I hope that ElephantSpike is able to get the name together and the site is live again very soon. I am sure it is still possible if it is his desire.

I hope the new government will get a truer grasph of what the people need and want. I have always hated that in the USA someone can be 18 and go to war but have to be 21 to drink. It makes no sense to me at all.
