  1. As my Boyfriend was getting ready to leave, the sadness always sets in even though you know it is only for a short time. He wanted to go back to his Village while I am away. Last night, I walked into my bedroom and it was covered with candles, some flowers, a bubble bath and Celine Dion music. He was all naked and wanted me to talk a bath and then gave me a massage. Then, well, you know. Anyway, I was really moved as I am not much of a romantic and this was such a sweet gesture. I asked him what made him do this for me on his last night in Pattaya, he said,
  2. I was thinking of returning it just in case you thought you said that. jk Enjoy your trip back to Montreal. Tell the boys at Taboo I say hi.
  3. HaHa. No dear. Valium. Viagra and Rogaine. Oh yeah. I needed a muscle relaxer for my hurt shoulder (plane ride). Many times in other countries if you take large amounts of anything they want to see a doctor's prescription. I always have one with any medicine I have just in case. Brazil is always very cautious when I come as I have about 5 large suitcases and tons of computer equipment. The price for computers and electronics there are MUCH more than in the states and many take things down there for sale or for gifts. This is forbidden and I have been questioned many times for my luggage.
  4. If he were gay, I would. Since he is not, it would be a waste of money. I spend my time in the gay activities and he would be bored and very unhappy. Been there done that, not doing it again. I have brought a few gay farang boys over to Thailand and they had a great time. But, they were gay. I don't think a straight boy from Thailand would really enjoy the gay scene in a far away land. I agree. However, how did we get from the amount of money to give a boy for a month to how much I spend on facials. Not sure what the connection is. And, for you dirty minds out there, I mean the facials in Royal Garden. If you remember, I offered. I think your response was, "cannot." Without a doubt, you entire posting made me laugh for hours. Thank you! Thank goodness someone does. That is what I love about message boards. They tend to really get conversation going. I appreciate anyone's response on topic. I find it intelligent. Anyone having sex with a sex worker who is having sex with 100 plus other gay men each year is really crazy not to get tested at least 2 times every year. I come from NYC and most doctors tell every gay men who is sexually active to get tested 2-3 times a year. I am still in the under 40 group and I know that many men in Pattaya really believe their BF when they say they are the first, the only, and etc. I don't. I don't take anyone that is a paid companion at his or her word for that. Pearl dear, when you start a post like this, you have others thinking you were going to pop the question. Needless to say, I was disappointed no ring was attached. I am going to take Aunty's stance. This is my last posting on this topic as just this one posting took me ages and I am on short time here and I need to have a little bit of fun before I have to go to that dreadful place in South America and work my fingers to the bone to pay for my next trip here. BTW: I decided on a number for the boyfriend that I think is fair and generous. I just hope his lady will be able to buy a few new items with what he forks over to her before I return. GT - Signing off
  5. I was at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital today. The new building is open. It is simply beautiful. They did a great job on it. There are some beautiful flowers that adorn the waiting room on the first floor. There are 16 floors. The lobby had a violinist playing today. I was told it just opened yesterday and the only issue I had was I needed some sleeping pills for my plane and they had to go to another pharmacists in another building to get it. They didn't ask me to walk over but it did take 5 min. They have gold carts out front that will take you from one building to the next. There is also a covered walkway that connects them all. Congrats to this great hospital on an excellent job!
  6. Perhaps that is why when I leave I have no less than 20 guys ask me which bar they will be working at or where they can find them to take them off. Actually, if you have read my posts in the past, all of the guys I have been with for over a week have been to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and had an HIV test. All that are with me now were tested less than 2 months ago and are negative. I wonder if you can say that about the guys you are with?
  7. I was in Bangkok last night to see a friend off to Canada. I went with him to dinner at Siam Paragon. Like I have said on many occasions on this board, this is the place to be in Thailand for the cute boys. They are in abundance and they will look and smile and chat if you are brave enough. We had a group of 2 sexy Thai boys and one hot Farang boy with us. Needless to say, the gay boys at the mall knew we were on the lookout. X-boys - My friend took a very sexy waiter from this bar. He was the cutest in the place. They had a nice selection of guys but honestly, there were not that many of them. It was a Thursday night and I am sure they will pick up on the weekends. DreamBoys - As usual was full of hot men. When part of them on stage are my age or older, I start to worry. But, they had some great looking guys and we had a nice time sitting and looking at the eye candy. BoysBangkok - A nice bar. Not one person on stage caught my eye. I am sure some nights are great but last night was not one of them. X-Men - I think is the name. It used to be Xtreme. They had a nice show and a hot sex show. The boys on stage were cute and sweet. My younger Farang friend took one of them for a drink. They had some very cute boys in there and the big cock show was enjoyable. The seats were comfortable and if you get there, sit down front in the nice chairs. They make the show much easier to see and enjoy. We had to walk tot he Tartawan to meet our driver so we stopped by Tawan. They were packed with customers and men. They had a nice selection if you like big men. I haven't seen so many muscles since Brazil. The drinks there were 240 baht each. I had a good night and a very good time. I did not see the hot boys that I see in Pattaya. They had more boys in the bars in Bangkok but not the superstars you find in Pattaya. IMHO However, I was able to find the gayest bag in Thailand. The bag was in Paul Smith at Siam Paragon. I have decided that the price for the bag is about the right price to give a Thai boy for one month. I had to have the bag as it purple lining was screaming to me, "take me" much like my boyfriend did on stage when I first met him. Now I have a bag that is amazing and a boy that is amazing and I found it all in the Amazing Thailand. No wonder they call this the Land of Smiles!
  8. Thanks YardenUK. I appreciate the kind words. Have you been to Pattaya? Nice to each other? You must have skipped the gay scene here. : jk One of my favorite movies is Roadhouse. It is staring the sexy Dirty Dancing star. He is a bouncer for a sleazy bar. He is training the other bouncers and he says no matter what someone does, you simoply be nice. I would love a world in which we were all nice to each other. Especially gay men. I have never really understood why those of us with so much in common are able to find so many differences that keep us so separate. It makes no sense to me at all.
  9. Are twink lovers allowed to take that exit or only twinks? Please assist.
  10. Thanks. That sounds about right to me. Should I include the tip I left for the staff in that amount or is the first amount sufficient? Now Now. This is Thailand. Are you sure that this was not knock off goods? It is very hard here to tell the difference. Unless you are a true fashion queen. BTW: Did you see my watch that night? What odds are you giving that it was original or a copy? The kind generiosity of the guys here never cease to amaze me. Thank you for your help. Both I and the boyfriend (s) appreciate it.
  11. OMG. Is there more in Pattaya? I didn't know. I'll have to start taking the culutural tours.
  12. I didn't know they did a remodeling. When did this happen? Any new photos? They did a great job with Crazy Dragon and I am excited to see the new hotel photos.
  13. I have a boyfriend that I will take care of when I leave for Brazil for New Year's Eve. I want to be good to him and to be fair. I also want him to be well taken care of but not spoiled. It is a fine line. If the boyfriend goes back to their home and is not in Pattaya, what do you think is a good weekly or monthy amount to deposit into the bank account? Notice I want to be generous but not overly generous. I also do not want him to have to work or worry for anything.
  14. JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 14 South Africa's Parliament overwhelmingly voted today to legalize same-sex marriages, making the nation the first in Africa and the fifth in the world to remove legal barriers to gay and lesbian unions, according to activists. The legislature voted after the nation's highest court ruled that South Africa's marriages statutes violated the constitution's guarantee of equal rights. The court gave the government a year to amend the legal definition of marriage. That deadline expires in two weeks. Melanie Judge, program manager for OUT, a gay rights advocacy group, noted that the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Canada were the only other countries to allow same-sex marriages nationwide. In most African nations, she said, homosexuality is still treated as a crime. Some penalties are stiffer than those for rape or murder.. Ms. Judge credited South Africa's liberal constitution with forcing change. "This has been a litmus test of our constitutional values," she said in a telephone interview. "What does equality really mean? What does it look like? Equality does not exist on a sliding scale." Religious groups and traditional leaders strenuously opposed the measure, arguing that if necessary the constitution should be amended to outlaw same-sex unions. But the ruling African National Congress virtually demanded that lawmakers support the bill. Despite deep divisions within the party, the measure passed 230 to 41. It must now be approved by the Council of Provinces, a quasi-federal chamber, and be signed the president to become law. Vytjie Mentor, the party's caucus chairman, told the South African newspaper The Sunday Independent earlier this month that he expected legislators belonging to the African National Congress to vote for the measure, regardless of their personal views. There is 'no such thing as a free vote or a vote of conscience,' he said. "How do you give someone permission to discriminate in the name of the A.N.C.? How do you allow for someone to vote against the constitution and the policies of the A.N.C., which is anti-discrimination?" The new law allows both heterosexual and same-sex couples to register their unions either as marriages or civil partnerships. But in a concession to critics, it also allows civil officers to refuse to marry same-sex couples on the basis on conscience. Ms. Judge, the gay rights advocate, predicted that provision will be challenged in court. "We can't be in the situation where civil officers can decide who they want to marry and who they don't want to marry," she said. "They aren't able to refuse to marry a black person and a white person. This is unconstitutional." http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/14/world/af...nyt&emc=rss
  15. I agree. Lucky for you there is only one WowPow. I did once meet a WhamBam but that was ages ago.
  16. I was at the beach today talking to a friend when he popped the question. No, he didn't ask me to marry him. He asked if I had a Thai driver's license. I said no. I asked why. He said, he was wondering with regards to health insurance. I was a little baffled. You see, our thought is that I have insurance with Traveler Jim. However, I don't have a license. If we were in a car accident and were driving would that then invalidate the claim? It seems to me that if you are driving illegally, the claim would then be denied. I do have the waiver for motorcycles and dangerous sports.
  17. Unfortunately, I will be in Amsterdam for Thanksgiving. I like to give my thanks to the boy bars of Amsterdam (not that there are any left now.)
  18. Another man in Pattaya with chifffron and a Phantom? You jest?
  19. I have known many boys who live with others and things get stolen. Too often, they are unable to place blame on anyone, as it could be a number of people. I don't think keeping the money in a room that has 3-8 people is smart. But, what are the alternatives? Most of them do not save the money. They seem to spend it as it comes. It is not like they are rolling in cash like American escorts. They are paid about the same price, as a pizza at Pizza Hut with a few friends would cost. They have to pay rent, utilities, transportation and food. Regardless of what we think, they are not getting rich off of the work they do. They are able to live a much great life financially than most of the people in the country but by no stretch of the imagination are they getting rich. Most don't save up the money to buy a cell phone. Some will and some will work to get larger gifts than just cash. I had one boy who didn't want me to pay him baht but to buy him gold after every so many days or weeks. This way, he had something of value that he could use later on. Cell phones and gold are very easily stolen and sold here. I have always asked that if I have a regular that he get a bank account in HIS name and I will put money in it for him. Why? If you put money into a family members account, they sometimes take it. If you put in the boys girlfriend or ladyboys account, it also may disappear. I ask each of my guys to get their own account and if they give it to someone after that, it is up to them. I found the easiest way to get my guys money while I am away is a paypal ATM card. This is something they can use and they need the pin for anyone else to access it. I know the guys work very hard for their money and it is sad when one of their friends steal it from them. I don't have any solution other than to tell you to offer them advice if it is a regular.

    Dead and Gone

I think the key is with your family. If they know and respect your wishes, tell them in detail what you want and let them carry it out. I am lucky enough to have family that knows my boyfriend in Brazil is to be taken care of. I have told them the amount I want sent to him each year. I know they will follow through with my requests. If I had any doubts, I would make other arrangements. I had one Thai boyfriend a few years back that was also to be taken care of. We ended that over 1 year ago but he was also to be taken care of. I make sure my family has a copy of the ID card, phone number, friend
  21. I was stopped on the streets tonight and told that my report on Wild West boys may cause some of the owners in the area to get upset as I said it was located in Boyztown and technically it is located in Pattayaland. I guess I have missed something for a long time. I have often referred to all the bars on those 3 sois as Boyztown. Don
  22. I guess I often only post the good things. Sorry. I don't post my bad experiences too often. I have never really done that on message boards. I much prefer to tell someone of a good experience I have had. No one place will suit all tastes. I know you don't like this place. I know LMTU doesn't care for Niddy's Nook. I don't care for one of LMTU's favorite places near Bordeaux and I had 2 very bad experiences there. I give you credit Hedda for trying the place again. Most won't do that.
  23. So much has been said about the Manhattan that I got an e-mail from LMTU. He is in constant contact with about 2000 of Pattaya's residents. He has a bit of time on his hands as they seem to be free of the boys in his lap. He mentioned that many thought Manhattan was over priced for the food served. I had eaten there a few times but honestly didn't remember the exact prices. So, tonight, we took a road trip to Manhattan. First, it was me with 7 of the hottest guys in Pattaya. They were all Thai and they all love steak. When we went inside, they all were wide eyed. They said the place was beautiful. All 8 of us ordered drinks and a steak. We ordered 6 appetizers to share among the group and ordered 2 bottles of wine there were about 1500 bath each. They had cheaper wines and more expensive ones on the menu. We also had a few mixed drinks and 2 deserts. All of one of the boys ordered a larger size steak. I ordered the small one as I knew I would not be able to finish the larger one. The cost of the entire meal was 17,000 baht. This was for all the food, drinks, wine, etc. It was approximately 2100 baht a person. My steak was 900 baht. The total price also included a service charge which I am told by the owner and the waiters we chatted with that actually go to the staff. Manhattans has a staff of 45 full time employees. They have free valet parking and a free car that will pick you up. We had sparkling and still water served to us all night for free. The cheesecake was great. I highly recommend the Lobster Bisque. I have had it on 3 occasions and enjoyed it each time. As I have said before, I enjoy the place. Now for what the guys said: They all seemed to be in total agreement that the steak was the best one that have had in Pattaya. They loved the food and the place. They all ate the appetizers like they were going out of style. When we left, they all said they wanted to come back for special occasions. I don't think Manhattans is a place I can go to every week. But, for special events and an occasional treat, it is simply excellent. The owner, Tom, is hands on and the staff are very attentive. Tonight, it had 8 VERY satisfied customers. There were about 10 other tables with customers and they all seemed to be enjoying the ambiance as well.
