  2. Yes, happy Birthday to Sawatdee! When I first came to Thailand, I relied a great deal on the boards, GayButton, Dreaded Ned and Dragon Castle. I also found the Sawatdee forum and starting visiting there. I will say it has improved a great deal with the new board software and attention by ElephanSpike. I hope they have a wonderful second year!
  3. I have been told that the new Wild West Boys is now open. The new location is larger than the one before and should hold the number of people who go to what their show. When in Pattaya, the old Wild West was a lot of fun. We wish the owners great luck in their new location. Stop by and see the new bar filled with sexy boys!
  4. Many have told stories about being stopped by customs. Here is an article I found most interesting if you travel to USA. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061201/D8LNR7R81.html
  5. I loved the quote by Peter Tatchel. I am not sure that will happen in my lifetime but hope springs eternal. I remember as a child the label of homo was so deadly. There were many gay men that openly lived together that were burned alive and killed on a regular basis. That has been 30 years. We have come a long way in many areas but still have a very long way to go to reach the Tatchel mark. I don
  6. Perhaps we should send this to the US Military? They are on a new learning curve now the old Rummie is out.
  7. That is good news. Also today: Clinton launches child HIV drug http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/conditions/...s.ap/index.html NEW DELHI, India (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton and two Indian pharmaceutical companies have struck an agreement to cut prices of HIV and AIDS treatment for children, making the lifesaving drugs far more accessible worldwide, Clinton's foundation's anti-AIDS initiative said. The companies will supply drugs for HIV-positive children at prices as low as 16 cents a day, or less than $60 a year, according to a statement by the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative. The deal will enable an additional 100,000 HIV-positive children in 62 countries to receive treatment in 2007, the foundation said. Clinton was to announce the deal in a speech at a New Delhi children's hospital Thursday at the launch of a new national program by the Indian government to treat HIV-positive children. World AIDS Day is Friday. Under the agreement, the two companies -- Cipla Ltd. and Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. -- will supply 19 different antiretroviral formulations for prices about 45 percent less than the lowest current rates for these drugs in developing countries, the statement said. "Though the world has made progress in expanding HIV/AIDS treatment to adults, children have been left behind. Only one in 10 children who needs treatment is getting it," Clinton said in a statement. In January, Clinton negotiated the reduction of prices of rapid HIV tests and anti-AIDS drugs for adults. Several Indian firms were involved in that deal, too. Under the deal, countries including France, Brazil, Chile, Norway and Britain will provide $35 million and the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative will contribute $15 million. The drugs will be supplied to the countries where the children live, for distribution through public health and HIV/AIDS prevention programs. Clinton was to speak at the Kalawati Saran Hospital, one of New Delhi's busiest hospitals for children. India, with 5.7 million HIV-positive people, has the highest number of cases in the world. The new India-specific deal to be announced Thursday would provide HIV treatment for 10,000 Indian children by March 2007 by adding pediatric care to all adult HIV and AIDS treatment centers in the country. Clinton, whose two-year appointment as U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan's special tsunami envoy ends December 31, is visiting India, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia -- among the countries hardest hit by the Indian Ocean tsunami that killed more than 216,000 people in 12 countries in December 2004.
  8. Well, personally, I guess I am a bit of a sissy. Not that I lisp either. But, the older I have gotten the more gay I have become. I love being gay and it does not bother me for others to know I am gay. I wish I had felt the same way at Scott's age. I don't mind a date with a masculine man, a middle of the road guy or a flamer. It is what's inside that really counts. (oh, and the lips. I'm a real lip man.)
  9. I met more than a few guys at Music Box and enjoyed them. It is too bad things changed so fast.
  10. Sexy! Where was he when I was there?
  11. Amsterdam was once one of my favorite stops for guys. The scene there was once amazing. Amsterdam has seen brighter days. Thailand has seen darker days. I like both places. I enjoy different things about each place. The money boy scene in Amsterdam has changed so much over the years. It used to be filled with boy bars and houses. They are really dead now and the only place to find the boys are the Internet. There are several escort agencies that I have used in the past with success and most of the time I have been happy with them. The best way to meet there is gaydar.co.uk, escupido.com, gayromeo.com and other sites which have profiles. I have also found guys on Crag
  12. I have 2 long term partners. Both were with me for over 4 years. I always enjoyed 3-ways with them. I was OK if the attention was directed at my boyfriend. I was also OK to sit sometimes sit back and watch. My last long term boyfriend learned the trick. He and the other guy got me off first. When I came I was ready to sit back and relax. I just loved the show afterwards. I was never jealous or angry. Having had many 3ways over the years, I can say it really made my relationship stronger. Different strokes for different folks I am sure. But, for me, it was always a great treat.

  14. Great. I hope so. I'll be away from the Land of Smiles a few months and my postings will not be as frequent. Chip in as much as possible. Greatly appreciated.
  15. Sorry WowPow. I should have said that only those problem new posters are put on moderated status. Not every new member. Thanks Smiles. Always nice to have your support. You can always join in late. We will keep the bar open as long as we know you are coming.
  16. For some posters, we have told them very politely to be nice and not stir up trouble. Most heed the call. Some do not. When we have a problem with someone making posts that are inappropriate we put them on Moderated Status. What this means is that a moderator must approve their post before it goes live. We do this to ensure the continued success of the board. Today, we have placed over 5 people on Moderated Status. We still want you to post but we will need to approve those posts before they are live. For members who have been active for a while on the board, we have limited this Moderated Status to 10 days to see how things go. When we have a new member that starts posting, we put them on Moderated Status indefinitely. We do apologize for this inconvenience to some posters but let me refer those of you that can't get along with each other to 2 other forums that are great: http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com http://www.baht-stop.com Thanks for your participation! 17. Perhaps too much spirit was why they were needed in the first place. Amsterdam can be a bit too much spirit at times.
  18. Damm, I missed it. I hope the night is successful and he keeps it going. Clubber is great food and the owner is always full of laughter and spirit.
  19. Bristol-Myers Squibb is donating $1 for each person who visits their website and "vitually lights a candle". Please take a minute to "light a candle": http://www.lighttounite.org
  20. I hope not. I had offered to buy it before.
  21. Coming back from travel on NWA, I my point of first destination was Detroit. I have been stopped when I come back from Thailand or Asia on every occasion bur never from Europe. I always plan time for them to search my bags and everything I own. I did the same this time. However, this time I asked for a supervisor and he came over. I asked if I was on a list and he said, I have no idea. I said why wouldn’t you tell me if I am on a list. He said, “You know the answer to that question.” I said, “No, I actually don’t.” He walked away. After 40 min of checking my luggage and my computers, they took my computers from the open area behind into a secure invisible room I was not able to see what the did. I asked that they not remove them from my site and they kept going. I asked why they were being taken and they did not respond. When they returned, they said I could repack my things and go. I again asked for a supervisor. He came over and I asked him for his card. He said he did not have one. I asked for him name. He gave it to me but it was of French origin and could not spell it and asked that he spell it for me. He refused and left. I asked 3 other agents for him to spell the name and they all refused. When I got back home, I found 2 things. One, they had put spy ware on my computer when I logged in the first time. I will now have to reformat my entire computer. Second, they deleted my entire photo library. It was filled with scans I had made of my Aunt’s family albums. It had over 4500 photos in it. None were porn. None were questionable. None were inappropriate. I did have other porn on the computer, as I own porn websites that is legal age porn. With those photo sets in another area of my computer, they each had a proper ID that would fulfill the new 2257 requirements. They checked my documents, read my e-mail and made a backup of my computer hard drive and another drive I use for ITunes. Is this legal? What recourses do I have?
  22. You are 100 percent correct. My apologies. I was confusing you with FreeYourMind. Not sure why I did that other than Jetlag and lack of sleep for 2 days. When I am wrong, I say I am wrong and my apologies to you as I fucked up. Perhaps it is old age. Perhaps it was the valium I took to try to adjust to the new time zone. I was in Amsterdam and I don't sleep much here and I go to too many coffee shops. Perhaps it was the boy who knocked on my hotel at 4am in the morning I had met on the Internet. I am off to Brazil now and I'll then be able to sleep it all offf and get adjusted to a new zone for a longer period of time. Please accept my apologies for the mistake and the bitchiness.
  23. I have been beaten up in the past for using the term "Boy Special". I guess I do prefer that to boyfriend and I use that on this board from time to time. Thais use the term boyfriend when referring to a farang taking care of them. I have heard one Thai use the term "my darling." I like that also., When in Thailand, I use the term boyfriend as that is what they use for me. Since you only know me from watching me in Sunee and Big C you really have no idea of how I treat someone who is with me long term so you will never be able to define what kind of relationship I have with one or more guys. I have had 3 boyfriends in Thailand that were left money and bank accounts should I come to an unfortunate demise. I am sure you have done the same for your boyfriend. I have also made sure my guys go to school and get an education. Some I have even set up in businesses. Your view of what a boyfriend is and mine may not be the same. And, frankly, since you don't care for me and I really don't care for your smug comments, I don't really give a fuck what you say with any post I make. Your postings are often more negative than they are informative. I hope you are much more nice to the "boyfriend" you are supporting.
  24. Works for me. A contest is a contest. Who cares if he is gay or straight? If a straight guy wants to enter a gay contest, go for it and vice versa. It does not bother me a bit. Although all my Brazilian friends say that a man who only fucks other men and doesn't get fucked is not gay. Many Thais have similar ways to define what is gay or not with them. I have a boyfriend who is not gay as he only likes ladyboys. His defination is fine for me. In my mind, both he and Monty are really Mr. Gay Pattaya. They personify what we all should be, instead of the bitchy nasty queens we are most of the time. Don't you just love those Hetro Thai guys as they are laying in your bed?
  25. So true. Thanks for taking the bait. I am glad that your post early said you were finished with this but you keep coming back for more. Just can't resist can you? I guess the monkier gonefishing can't resist a bit of bait now and again. Anyway, this is childish going back and forth. I'll just say, "I'm right and your wrong., na ne na ne boo boo."
